Alex coughed as remnants of smolders still let loose their irritants into the air. 'Who the hell am I really.' The blond gazed around in bewilderment, cracking and hissing wood surrounding his booted feet as cinder will struggled to burn before the strange energy lashed them out once more. "Why...what...DAMN IT!" The man roared, his voice echoing through the empty corridors, charred wood collapsing as his voice stuck them, clouds of soot kicking into the air as they crumbled. "What the hell did I do. Who did I offend? What Higher-Power did I piss off!" The emerald eyed man lashed out towards the offending remnants of the building his hand tearing apart the brittle wood. "It is all your fault!" Alex shouted, tearing the wet paper like object from his pocket, "You did this RIGHT?!" The man glared as he unfolded the unholy thing, the silver scrawls written in some incomprehensible language on the strange paper...no not paper, flesh. "Why do you haunt me, what the hell do you want?! No...I know that don't I. You want my soul don't you." Alex looked insane as he spoke to the strange paper growling in distaste before he tossed it away. "NOT ANY MORE!" The man spat as he tossed the paper into the air and watched it flutter to the ground. Alex knelt next to the object, tracing strange patterns into the ashen waste. "Let you never haunt me again you damnable thing, burn in the fires from which wrought you!" Alex again lacerated his hand and let the inferno spring to life, the strange paper shriveling before letting out an ear splitting shriek that echoed into the town with unnatural shrillness. "Never again." Alex stood quickly before marching away into the darkness once more, never again... ~ Somewhere a black book hissed as a new page sprouted into its dark depths...a strange being growled as the object silenced itself... "Who would reject my giftsss..." |

Alice's ear flicked, and she looked up to the window in annoyance. They weren't that far from Alex, and with her keen hearing, she could hear his tantrum. "Get over yourself," she mumbled as she laid her head down, knowing full well that Alex couldn't hear her, "You aren't special enough for the Gods to pay any attention." "What was that?" Devlin asked as he stretched out on the bed. With his weak human ears, he had heard nothing. "Nothing, Dev. Go to sleep now. It's late, and if you stay up all night tonight, you'll be up all night tomorrow," Alice replied, purring slightly as she kneaded his chest. Devlin winced as her tiny claws dug into his skin, but didn't protest. Naomi breathed deeply, slowly calming down. The lycan had no idea as to why she had gotten so irritated. Perhaps maternal instinct had driven her to fret over a lost 'cub'? That was the only guess she could make. With a gentle, forgiving smile, she tucked the blanket around Devlin. "The cat's right, you know. Sleep now. You need to maintain a schedule," she said kindly, hoping that her niceness would be taken as an apology for her earlier behavior. "I'm off to bed myself. Max or Lukas, either or both of you are welcome to share a bed with me, since Alex will not allow us 'dogs' onto the bed with him," she offered. Naomi then walked out into the inn, and back into the room Alex had rented for her. She left the door cracked, in case Max or even Lukas wished to join her. "After all," she thought, "We 'animals' deserve a bed of our own." |

Alex wandered aimlessly through the panicky village, his path lit by the stars and moon above. The disheveled look on his face spoke of his misery as did the puffiness of his eyes. Disappointment on his face. He still wanted the object after all of that; he wanted the damn thing more as it tugged on his heart's strings, even after its destruction its siren call echoed into his mind and into his sight. The darkness edging its way into his perception as he meandered through the main street that began to empty with people. Sighing the man moved about to the stoop of a destroyed building, the stone steps spoke of the wealth its owners once possessed. Now undone. It was worse though. He felt no guilt, no sorrow. Only a Nihilistic self satisfaction at the destruction around him. The man cocked his head as he watched the people filter away from him into the darkness that permeated the town. Sighing he laid against the stones and gazed longingly at the stars. What would create such a blasphemous object in the first place. With a final sigh the man laid his head against the cold rough granite and drifted off to sleep. Dreams of horrible things plucking his heart strings as he slept. |

Naomi tried sleeping, but she couldn't get comfortable while she was wearing her clothes. She glanced up at the open door; the offer was still open, but no one had taken it. The black leather was chafing her; she had been in it for hours now. "Can't sleep naked, can't sleep clothed... Can't sleep," she realized, and groaned quietly to herself. Naomi grabbed her satchel, and as she walked out of her room she locked the door behind her. She tiptoed past the room where the boy would be sleeping, and sneaked out into the darkness. By the color of the sky, Naomi judged that night wouldn't last too much longer. The kitten's ear twitched as she heard the werewolf leave. "It seems my work is never done," Alice mumbled, only to glance over and see Devlin sound asleep. |

Albel stood in his room staring out at the destruction, something clicked in him but he shook his head and ignored it. "Who would do that?" he wondered throwing his armor and cloak on he walked outside, his footsteps could be heard considering he was wearing armor. However he took his time going outside looking around at all the panic. "What is there to do for this poor town?" he thought and looked over at the church, sighing deeply. "If I lived through that wound to die for this so be it." he wandered to the center of the town, almost like a drone people bumped into him some trying to forcibly shove him out of the way it didn't manage to move but a shoulder of his. Albel looked around, standing in the center of the town he stared down then threw his cloak off his silver armor gleamed in the night He touched his hand together, under his armor the tattoo he placed on his back grew all over a tribal like tattoo being seen on his face and other see able body parts. "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Death, I fear no evil" Albel bent down and touched his hands to the ground his tattoo began glowing a bright red, red lightning began to shoot up from his body as a giant red glow engulfed the city a alchemical symbol forming on the cities ground. Albel closed his eyes his armor was torn asunder and his body engulfed in the red light, he began bleeding from his tear ducts. The ruined buildings, the destroyed parts of the roading all but the dead in the began glowing red as well and rebuilding. The dead bodies were engulfed and then swallowed into the ground. |

Alice hopped up and went to the door... It was closed. She pawed at it a few times, letting her claws scrape harshly against the wood... No luck. So she went to the window, only to find it, too, was closed. The kitten mewed loudly in frustration, her tail swishing from side to side. Devlin opened one eye, and smiled. "You're not snooping again tonight, Alice," he said as his eye slowly closed once more. Irritably, Alice returned to the bed. Naomi walked leisurely through the streets. The panic was dying down, and the air was cooling. Smoke still hung heavy in the air, but it was breathable. Suddenly, she stepped on something; it rolled out from under her foot, and Naomi windmilled her arms briefly before falling to the ground. Grumbling, she glanced back at her feet... A potato. "I tripped on a damn potato... Really?" she grumbled inwardly, as she pushed herself back up. Her knees were scraped, but no serious damage was done. It was then that she saw Alex sleeping. Concerned, she walked up to him. "Alex, sir? It's not safe to be sleeping out here," she said loudly, trying to wake him. |

"Ten more minutes or I will convert you to dust." The blond growled irritably as he rolled away from the woman precariously close to the back edge of the stone where several jagged nails rested in a seared piece of charcoal. "I do not need a harlot tonight go proposition someone else, just because I have money does not mean I need a street walker." The man sighed as he adjusted his arms to better support his head before giving a soft kick towards the 'harlot' behind him. In the room Max sneezed as he lay on the bed...did someone say something? Shrugging the fox laid his head back down and returned to his rest. |

Naomi looked around her as she finally noticed the red glow. She stumbled back slightly when Alex's foot hit her thigh. Not knowing what else to do, she kicked Alex's boot. "Wake up, you stupid arse! The town's glowing red, and you're sleeping on a precarious spot out in the open!" she snapped irritably. |

The town was restored to what it looked like prior to the explosion though several things weren't fixed, All the dead bodies were gone now and the red light slowly began to fade the symbol receded back to the center of the town. Thanks to all the bodies Albel still stood well his tattoo was still on his back and his armor had been restored he was out cold. The red light trickled upwards as it vanished, The people in town would be stunned to see their homes fixed little knick-knacks were missing but other things were fine. Albel stood up looking around like he didn't know what was going on, rubbing his head he turned and walked back towards the inn. |

"What part of CONVERT TO DUST do people fail to comprehend!" The blond shot up like a rod and glared at the disturbance. "That is very bad." The man's green eyes widened as a thought passed through his mind, blood reaction. Alex was off like a shot the wind rushing behind him as he rocketed towards the tavern his instincts telling him to flee from such an effect to somewhere...a little better prepared to halt alchemy dead. "Run, Flee, Retreat!" He shouted as he quickly moved to out pace the alchemical reaction, a fruitless endeavor, but one he would attempt nonetheless. |
