"Yes I will, and a display of sorts." Alex sighed as he closed his eyes, he was tired but he had no doubt the 'display' he had arranged would quickly wake him if he did drift to sleep. "So this priest, where did he come from, did he say?" Yawning heavily the emerald eyed man fanned his mouth as he felt the water drip from his hair into the linen beneath him. (No it is right, or so says dictionary.com) (Ware: Articles of merchandise or manufacture; goods) |

((That's the wrong form. You want 'wear', as in 'to adorn one's body with'. I WEAR a hat. I sell WARES. See the difference?)) "I don't rightly know, sir. If he mentioned it, I can't remember. He said he was a traveling priest, though, so I assume he has no residence," Naomi replied. Briefly, she considered laying down, but decided against it. The girl had her own bed... which was occupied by Max. "Alex, should I get Max? He's in the next room. We had been sharing a bed, but I got out of the room without waking him." |

"Hmm? Oh, no need I am sure it will be more amusing for me if he does not know I am here until he wakes with me standing over him." Alex sighed as he laid there, the smell of wet fur permeating the room. 'Traveling priest...why does that not sound right...' Alex hummed to himself before his eyes drifted open and to the wolf girl. "Traveling to where?" He cocked an eyebrow in suspicion. (Sexual Wares is correct, the clothing is sexual paraphernalia in this case and Alex was referring to the object...and I just realized i used the same word twice in that sentence back there an wiffed never realizing it. Ret Con powers go!) |

((The other one was incorrect, though, and that's what I was referring to. xP)) "I don't know," she replied, with a sheepish smile of embarrassment, "I never asked, sir. He fed me and clothed me, though, and didn't seem to have any ill-will towards me. So I saw no reason to pry." With that, she hesitantly laid down at the foot of his bed. Naomi was careful not to actually lay on his feet; she had the strangest feeling that he would kick her if she did. |

"You know he could be someone masquerading as a Priest to try and find out information or do something...less reputable." Alex sighed heavily as he felt the weight on the bed shift, why him. "He may actually be a priest but I'm happy to say we are leaving tomorrow, we are getting out of this town, a day to the next stop so we will find you some riding clothing in the morning, preferably something not leather as it tends to chafe under sweat, and we will be out of here before noon." Alex closed his eyes and tried to drown out the thoughts in his head. |

"I have no information that I think anyone would find useful," Naomi replied, bored with the topic, "And you're right, leather does chafe. I hadn't thought of that. The inside of this outfit is a soft cloth, which is fine for walking about, but I imagine that will matter little when I'm working." She yawned, and rolled over onto her side. The smell of wet dog, or wolf rather, was starting to bother her. Naomi glanced up at the door more than once. "It's a wonder Max didn't wake up when I did. Though, as I recall, he drank some of that sweet drink... Wine? Yes, that's it. Maybe he drank enough for it to make him tired. I know it does that." |

Alex's eyes flashed open as the sound of an explosion shattered the relatively peaceful experience of the night. "Boom." Alex laughed as he heard the panicked cries call through the inn. "Twelve hundred pounds of gunpowder and a few special ingredients and the entire guard post goes up in smoke." Alex shook his head as he kipped to his feet listening to the panic in the streets. |

Naomi flinched visibly at the noise, and inched a little bit closer to Alex; her first instinctive thought was that if she were going to die, she was damn well going to take him with her. However, it was very apparent that he had planned this. "You organized that?" she said in a low whisper, though she doubted anyone outside their room was calm enough to eavesdrop, "I hope you killed some of the guards in that blast. They're horses arses, the lot of them." |

"I expect that I did. What a horrible lose." Alex rolled his eyes in sarcasm as he moved towards the table where his book lay bound and locked. "It is probably a wise idea to prevent the inn from lighting on fire, it should not be an issue but something tells me this city is a tinderbox." Alex snapped his head back towards the woman before sighing again. "In second thought maybe you should stay here, the clothing and the time of night will make for a very odd appearance otherwise." Alex shook his head in annoyance before moving to throw open the door, with a dramatic flourish he slung it shut before walking down the corridor that led out of the inn. |

Naomi sighed, and crawled up on the bed to lay on it the right way. Since she had never worn the boots outside before, she was okay with keeping her feet on the bed without removing them. They couldn't be any dirtier than her bare feet; if anything, they were probably cleaner. She glanced down at the unconscious wolf on the floor, and felt a twang of pity. However, there was nothing to do for him. Not without putting herself in danger, at least. |
