Such as the things like, the changing of nursery rhymes because some words are now apparently racist, such as Baa Baa Black Sheep in which bosses of the nursery rhyme distributers, ordered it to be change to "Rainbow Sheep". Or how about TV Advertising?, They don't want to show anything that isn't good for them, such as fatty foods, Banned Advertisements etc... Do you believe that the county is becoming too politically correct?

Current Mood Psyched.	Political correctness is stupid. Say it as it is is my opinion. For example, calling someone 'retarded' isn't PC these days because it has become derogatory towards the mentally disabled. Retardation is just the term used to describe the illness, however, and 20 years ago it would have been completely acceptable. What is politically correct today will get you beat up in 20 years so I don't see the point. People need to be less sensitive towards crap like that.

Freedom of Speech Current Mood Happy	I think that the biggest part of political correctness is races, + sexes. what really pisses me off is stuff like this. When I was in like 6th grade or something, the police started doing this stupid anti-drug program And they made us do this booklet. And EVERY SINGLE PAGE had A white kid A black kid a Latino A girl A kid in a wheelchair A kid with glasses A kid with braces A Kid with freckles That's not all, but you get the idea. That's just insulting. I am white, but if I were a part of a minority, I would be even more insulted. Just because there are Latinos reading the book, doesn't mean there has to be a Latino on EVERY PAGE just so you can show students that the country is not racist. Which in a way, it is. There is a very fine line between Racism and political correctness about races. I think that instead of saying, Oh, he's black, but that doesn't matter because I'm not a racist. That, to me, is a racist comment. Now, I have to admit that I have made those comments myself, or thought that, but I try to avoid them. I think the best way to avoid racism is to eliminate thoughts like that^^^^ Also, blacks are often associated with drugs and gang violence. People say that the whole country is racist because when a black walks into a convenience store, the cashier opens the drawer that has the mace or the pistol in it, just in case. I agree that this is a problem, and that we are racist in that way. HOWEVER I think that the gangs have brought this on. Because I don't think that we're racist towardthem,just the gangs. For example, if instead of the way it is now, 25 year olds hung out in gangs, then the whole country wouldn't be as racist in that way against black people. They would have their hand on the mace at the sight of anyone under 30? Race does not matter to me when I meet a person, and I in no way, shape or form meant to insult anyone. I apologize if I did.
