So far does this sound cheesy or plagerized? My report is on the former Astronaut Buzz Aldrin (Because I know you didn’t want any more Neil Armstrong reports) Buzz Aldrin was born on January 20, 1930, in Montclair, New Jersey. Buzz was one of the people to fly on the first Moon mission along with Neil Armstrong and James Lovell. On November 11, 1966 their crew set out for the moon. The space shuttle they were on during the mission was the Gemini 12 spacecraft. Although he wasn’t the First Man On The Moon, He fallowed Neil Armstrong onto the Surface of the moon. Buzz was once a in the Air Force and served as an aerial gunnery instructor. He graduated from Montclair High School in Montclair, New Jersey. He has received numerous awards. |

You all probably know about Europe and how there is a country called Norway. Well, truth of the matter, it is really called the Kingdom of Norway. Bet you didn’t know that now did you? I don’t think so. Well there are probably a lot of things you didn’t know about this country near the Norwegian Sea. You probably didn’t know it had a sea named after it either. Well, IT DOES. Now you know that. Three fourths of Norway is covered in mountains. The capital of Norway is a town called Oslo. Oslo is the city with the most population in Norway. Oslo houses one of the four universities in Norway. “ There’s only four universities in Norway?” You ask. Yes, Norway only has four universities. See, I told you there are a lot of things you don’t know about Norway. Well, anyways, since I’m talking about universities, let’s go into the education. In Norway, children normally don’t start school until they’re seven years old. School in Norway is six days a week for 38 weeks a year. How would you like to go to school 6 days instead of 5 days a week? Not a lot, I’m guessing. Parents teach their kids how to solve problems, read, write, and teach them religiously before the children start school. Grammar, Folk, Navigation, Engineering, and Cooking schools can be found through out Norway. Students are encouraged to have as many years of education possible, but they can drop out after 9 years of school. Holidays are a nice get-away from school. Holidays in Norway include Easter, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Labor Day, And Constitution Day. Constitution day is kind of like our Forth of July. Christmas is one of the biggest celebrations of Norway. The flag is a good decoration in each and every holiday. Skiing is a large part of celebrating holidays. Cross-country skiing is also a good pass time. The currency of Norway is the Kroner and the Ore. Norway is one of the largest oil producers in the world. The important exports are fish, natural gas, and manufactured items. Text tiles, oil drilling, commercial shipping, paper products, chemicals, technology, and food processing are key industries.(Culture Grams) Rate my report so far. =) :P :P |
