The Black Box “Where are the others?” yelled Shock. “They aren’t supposed to be late!” “I shall wait here for them, sir”, said Kai. “No! You stay here! I need to discuss something with you. Shin, you go.” “Yes, sir!” yelled Shin. And he ran across the tunnel, looking for warriors that would never be seen on the face of earth again. “Come here, Kai! Your reward awaits---No!” He yelled as the black box was snatched out of his hands as someone, or something, leaped from a cliff and swooped it out of his hands. “Kai! Swords out!” “Y-yes, sir!” Back to back, they waited. Suddenly they were surrounded. Of all of the warriors, the one in the middle stepped forward. Not daring to turn his back on any of the others, Shock asked, “Who are you? What do you want?” “I got what I wanted already, the box, my dear Shock! Thank you for giving it so openly in front of everyone.” “How did you know we were here?” “It was quite easy, actually. All we had to do was keep one guard at every corner in this maze…and the rest followed suit!” “The others! You killed them!!!” “Heh, no, Shock. We are them.” And his face finally showed—“SHIN?! What do you need? You have everything your heart can desire. Weapons, money, dignity! What else could you possibly want?” “I would want nothing but universal domination, of course. I have been testing you, Shock. All this time you have been betrayed. You think I’m some silly wannabe soldier, when I am the Dark Knight. And if I’m the Dark Knight, I should have what I want. And you are getting in the way of that. I cannot allow this. Lock, finish the pests. They are becoming very annoying.” “Yes sir!!” “And now I shall be the one to dominate, and bring back my immortal body!” What he didn’t see, was that at the cave entrance, there was an enemy… |
