Map doesn't work at all. EDIT: Now it does, but I have two cents to add. First, you didn't have to add my internal divisions. Secondly, these are the borders I claim: ![]() And before anyone goes about "blaghhh u got 2 much territory" all I have to say is "compare it to everyone else's" and "I don't want to roleplay territorial expansions." Besides my claim is territorially smaller than everyone else's, while it's population is behind most other powers' as well (Britain, Russia, Japan, USA all have MUCH bigger populations.) Should be fine. Pity we don't have anyone to RP the Nationalist Chinese and all the little warlord states. And favoritism? The only guy I semi-know here is USA/Dan. Apparently Britain and I have met before, if I'm to understand correctly that he was Britannia and the Tau in the DT RP. Also apparently one of you is Ukraine from that same RP. So really I have no one to show favoritism towards. Yet.
Recall an earlier quote of mine: "That can be done, though I caution that the map size I'm working with may not be large enough to show the smaller German states." Now that you've seen the map, I think it's quite reasonable to understand why I didn't stick a state as pitifully small as Hesse, Brunswick, Anhalt, etc. on the map. Also the request to separate the interior divisions using dotted lines - looked good in theory, but in practice, it looked flat-out hideous. As for the territorial integrity of Poland, that was an honest mistake. Hence the reason why I'm making certain everybody is happy (or at least "content") with their map positions. Now, who else has issues? Edited by Canada, Jul 24 2009, 08:01 PM.

My bad there If you can use my thumbnail to place my state I'd be glad, simple as that Dan's also tempting me to actually claim the remaining area of Romania as a client state but I'd rather try role-playing that instead.

It's no problem. I copied the exact same image you posted into the map. Fit perfectly. Would you like me to separate Austria-Hungary? And quite frankly, I'd like to see you with more territory. You are the smallest, and there are some spots in Europe that aren't going to be the source of any sort imperialism by any other nation than your own. While I understand that RPing the creation of those states would be interesting and give all of us a basis of connection to those states (as we would have been afforded the opportunity to react and interact with them during the process of their creation), the fact is we're going to be spending more time RPing with each other's primary nations. Imperialism is invariably going to be a part of the RP anyways (even I intend to embark upon a serious campaign). Adding more of it as a starting condition almost seems like it might be a detriment to the RP. But that's just my opinion. What actual policy we adopt isn't known yet. |

Personally I have no qualms with Germany's territory. It is arguably the smallest nation we have so far. |

In that case, please do this:![]() (It also includes a tiny bit of Italy I forgot to include while rushing.) The following was changed: * South Trent was added [back] to Austria, as per pre-1919. * Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia borders merged to form the United Baltic Duchy/Livonia. * Livonia, Poland and Romania added as German vassal states. Should suffice

Any issues with your territory? Too much? Too little? Something I can change?
All of that should be fine save for Poland and the Baltic states. Let's wait to see what Britain, who has indicated he wants Poland left alone, and Russia, who has a legitimate claim to Poland (just as you do) have to say about it. Russia also has a claim to the Baltic States (I didn't add it, since the puppets debate was still ranging at the time). And now that I've searched it, Russia laid claim to Wallachia - which I never knew was another name for Romania. Let's see if we can work something out. For instance: You receive Danzig and the Prussia territories linking East Prussia with Greater Germany, along with Romania and the Italian "sliver." Poland cedes the Belarus element of its territory to Russia, which also receives the Baltic States and Moldova. Poland is left as a smaller entity (roughly the size of Belarus), but it's there, so Britain is kinda/sorta appeased. Or some kind of take on the above. Whatever works. That would actually be something fun to RP - a treaty and a whole range of talks, et cetera. But it might be easier to agree to something before-hand. Fair enough? Yeah, that sounds acceptable, and I'll be glad to RP all of that with Germany in an epic treaty-off. ![]() Edit: Japan, you're free to more of my Eastern territory by the way, such as the mainland bit north of Japan

Have Molotov and Rippentrop negotiate it, too! And so ready to give up Vladivostok? Must have some particularly grand European plans, then! |
