Whatever, I just think that the formation of puppet states or other such things should be role-played, like Russia, instead of just granted. |

Well, Canada and the US should be as large as they are, given that they were historically that large. Same deal with Russia. I would have to agree that puppet states should be RPed, though I think we can let those who really want them have one or possibly two to start (e.g. the US having the Philippines, which is historically accurate, or Japan having Manchukuo, which is also historically accurate). I also feel that certain ones can be a source of contention if we have them right off the bat. The Philippines, for instance, would be nestled right smack dab in between two burgeoning Pacific powers (which would be a possible cue to draw in the Americas if Australia and Japan go to war), while Germany might not quite appreciate Russia encroaching on its borders (and of course, Britain wouldn't much like either one touching Poland), and may try to take actions to shore up their eastern defenses by taking more land. Are we going to continue arguing over the unnecessarily large superstates or are we going to start this thing at some point in the near future? |

Probably... both. Absolute latest for a finished map to make it's way on here will be Friday evening. That means I'll be done before Wednesday. |

Also we need to wait for Egypt to get moving on making the number crunching system. Supposedly its going to be some kind of java script, but I doubt he will put that much effort into it. Historical accuracy be damned, when we originally came up with the idea for this rp, we only chose a year to stage it in so we would have some ideas as to the technologies available. I just don't want to see things go exactly like history because that's not fun or interesting. What I'm proposing is that we view history as a loose guide, instead of a rule-book. |

Just so long as you dont start invading London with Tripods firing heat-rays and Japan unveils its Cyber-Navy complete with helicopter-mechs, everything should be fine. |

Surprised myself: I'm a day behind when I said it would be done, and a day ahead of my deadline to post the map. Not sure if that qualifies as a "win" or a "fail."![]() (the thumbnail lies! the map isn't gray - well, not entirely) That's the map - for the moment. Now that I've added most of everybody's requests (the only one I don't believe I put on was Japan's "coastal China," since I haven't a clue how much of coastal China you want, or if that's something which should be RPed). So, here's your chance to tell me what's wrong with it - did I miss something you want? Something need changing? Objections? Nasty comments? Witty remarks? Bueller? Bueller.....? EDIT: In the event the thumbnail isn't lying.... Spoiler: click to toggle

I was thinking something like this:![]() And if you're serious about that this "should be RPd", I call favoritism and hax on Germany. |
