I was thinking we could introduce our warband/warbands. If you feel lazy, you can just click the poll, but you could also write a short (or long) description of what your warband is. You can even select multiple choices. |

And since I started this thread I feel I should go first. I voted for Black Legion, Dark Mechanicum and Lost and the Damned. Formally my Warband serves under the Black Legion but it mostly consists of Heretek cultists and the warmachines of the Dark Mechanicum, so all three apply. The background is, in short, this: The heretek cults had long had influence on the planet of Descent but recently they organized a rebellion against the Imperial rule on Descent. This uprising was, at first, supported by Necrons working behind the scenes, who wanted to use the cultists for their own purposes. However, the organized heretek rebellion attracted the attention of Black Legion who also decided to join the fray. The Tekwitches leading the cults dabble with warp-tech and ritual of Dark Mechanicum and saw visions of an eye, interpreting that they should join the cause of Black Legion. Thus many of the cultists decided to join forces with the Black Legion ships and the 13th Black Crusade now raging across the stars... |

Alpha Legion 4ever! <3 <3 <3 I run a tight ship of Alpha Legion forces, some corrupted, others pure...great chisms in the warband exists, but the council keeps the factions together and focused. Recently, a time-lost splinter force emerged from the warp, heralding from the heresy era they had been displaced almost 10k years into the future, bringing with them hardware, personnel, geneseed and most importantly of all, a link to their beloved primarch long thought lost...namely "the plan"... It had been a trap. The whole thing, a big intricate trap. The cultists had fallen back too easily, too cowardly even counting that their enemy was an inquisitorial warband. Even cultists had some sort of courage in their frenzy towards their heathen gods, but these had turned and ran when their totems and icons had been purified by their foes. Even so the sudden betrayal had come as an impossible surprise, and to watch his warband tear itself apart when brother assaulted brother was too much even for him. The Inquisitor sighed heavily, whimpering a soft "why" as he was held down by the surviving members of his former warband. "Loyalty is the only true currency of the universe and yours shall be tested soon enough, Inquisitor", a shadowy figure uttered from a darkened corner. "Who are you?" The shadow moved into the light, his armour shifting between blue and green in the dim lights of the underhive. "I am alpharius"... |

Well I suppose mine would be Alpha Legion as well. Don't want to spoil the story, so I'll give a brief description of the Gorgons. - number around twenty - utilise mutant cultists - wear a stylised 'medusa' on chest plate, a reminder of a now forgotten past - left pauldron bares a sword, pointed downwards, a snake wrapped round it I'll try to update this once I've been able to complete the story. |
