I believe I heard about the comment being made by one of the Forgeworld developers. That it is overpowered against lists outside of Forgeworld's Heresy supplements. |

I am not losing to these pious, honour-fuelled, frock-wearing whoresons twice in the same month. Focus all fire on the Invincible Reason. They crippled our primarch. Let's return the favour." -- It saw print! | |

I'd love to see the link for that, if you got it. |

I heard of it from someone else so it's secondhand. It's over on BnC, I think in the Horus Heresy subforum. I'll try and find it. |

I do know this, the one with Alan Bligh does have Alan Bligh saying that the Heresy set is a stand-alone expansion. Don't know if that makes a difference. Found the post in the Chaos Ascendant, but no link. Still looking. |

I really am not finding it anything about this. There was a video of the Betrayal Q&A at Chicago Games Day, but the audio is crap so I don't even know half of what is said. In that case, I guess I am mistaken. So I take it you believe it to be a balanced army against all 40k armies and not overpowered? |

Guess I'd have to get a few games in, but just by looking at the rules, I'd say it's not overpowered at all. A solid Draigo List would stil be a hell of a challenge, orks would be crazy (especially a green tide), eldar would have a field day consdiering the Legions have very poor psychics |

So it's probably meant to function its best against other Legion lists, but not exclusively. |

The basic Legion list is not overpowered at all. If anything it is actually weaker than the old Codex: Space Marine. Its the "Lord of the War" option that makes the Legions overpowered, but as long as you keep them Primarchs and Superheavies out of the game and work by te restrictions given by Rites of War then it should fit right in with the other current 40K codices. |
