I'm actually really looking forward to the dex release now. The background and list has taken such an innovative direction. |

I'm holding my tongue until I get my hands on the codex actual, but right now I'm feeling a bit broken-hearted. Kinda sad that I'm looking forward more to the FW books than the codex I've been waiting on for years. |

Having seen that the new aspiring champion is plastic (yay!) I'm now considering doing a World Eaters force, and trully embracing my Khorne side, using said champion as a chaos lord with an appropriate head swap. Only question now is do I go pure chaos marines or ally some Khorne daemons in? Also I'm presuming the new raptors are combatible with the current chaos marine and World Eater kits. |

My first plan is a Cult / Mechanicum force with lots a cultist, a couple of chosen and lots of crazy warmachines. The only problem is that somewhere in the back of my mind is this small voice whispering "...all is dust..." I'm not really sure yet on which way to go. Edited by polaria, Sep 26 2012, 06:10 AM.

Heathens, I feel the same. Going to get the codex first and give it a thorough read through before I decide to purchase anything.

If they'd redone the current Thousand Sons, Plague Marine and Noise Marines in plastic, I'd be quite keen to collect an undivided force. I'm hoping they'll release then in 2nd wave. Actually I hope the 2nd wave is not to far away and that they release a new chosen/chaos marine kit(s), I doubt will get anything like that any time soon though. |

Well I had a look in the white dwarf. Looks like the cult troops are staying same. But I got the impression the will be selling 'upgrade' packs rather than boxes. The Emperors children for example have a pack for heads, sonic weapons, doom siren, champs are, all the metal bits essentially. Bt also gives me the impression they will sell and a upgrade pack full of sonic weapons or blast masters. So I doubt we get new, but easier to collect. |

Yeah, cult troops will stay the same but will get a finecast upgrade packs. Berserkers and Raptors will be plastic and Plague marines are already all finecast. Looking at the codex pictures above you might also notice that the only new units in the whole codex are the ones that are getting released with the Codex itself (Warptalons, Forgefiend, Maulerfiend, Warpsmith and Heldrake) or have models in starter set (Helbrute and Cultists). So basically EVERYTHING in the codex has a finecast or plastic model available on the next weekend when the codex comes out. |

The preorders for the cult upgrade packs are available now. I looked at them and they are very affordable. You can get enough bits for 9 Thousand Sons or 8 Noice Marines for about 11 euros which is quite okay. |
