Title - Address to the Aware, commonly refered to as 'The Denial' or 'The Aware'. My father knew of the beings in the Warp. Horus came and told me he had been warned there were beings in the Empyrean, and Magnus undoubtably knows of the Dark Gods better than all but us and the Emperor himself. He knew there were true gods out there. And he knew that he was not one of them. Perhaps that is why he rebuked us so. He is no god, though he seemed like it for so long. When we came and raised temples in his honour, when we did all that we could to honour and praise him, he knew he could not compare to the real gods. Perhaps he feared they would destroy him and humanity, like they did the Eldar, out of jealousy. And yet his continual denial of their existence would have doomed us. Why, father? Why withhold this from us? Why did you not tell us that there were beings of true power? When we had insisted on following you and worshipping you, we would have stopped had we known, had you told us of the Chaos Gods. You might have even convinced us to follow whatever path you are taking. I have no doubt we would have instantly done everything we could to aid you, because you were our everything. Instead you rebuked us, killed millions of people whose only crime was to worship you and destroy the very symbol of everything that the Imperium could have been. You lied. You decided that I, the only son that could match Magnus or Guillemann in intellect, couldn't understand whatever you had planned for us all. We would have done anything for you, and instead you chose to treat us likes dogs while the real ones earned honours and glories for being blind hypocrites that are unworthy to lick your boots. The Word Bearers, your most loyal followers, would have accepted whatever you had told us. We had been doings so for over a century already. But you chose to crush our every hope and dream. Now the Dark Gods will come to claim humanity and you will be wiped from history for opposing their dominance. You could have been their greatest follower. Instead we, the Word Bearers, will bring the truth to humanity and your lies will do nothing to stop us. |
I tend to remember things off the top of my head as opposed to checking, so please excuse and correct any official fluff mistakes I make. A lot of it also personal interpretation and theory, so feel free to disagree as well, I won't mind
