1.1] The Republic of Renaissance Dominions (hereafter referred to as "the Dominion") diplomatically recognises the current terroritories as held by the Islemen Commonwealth (hereafter referred to as "the Commonwealth") to be under the soverign de jure and de facto rule of the Commonwealth; 1.2] The Commonwealth diplomatically recognises the current territories as held by the Dominion to be under the soverign de jure and de facto rule of the Dominion; 1.3] Articles 1.1 and 1.2 do not preclude nor necessitate the recognition of any further territorial aquisitions or losses by either party to this agreement. 2.1] The Dominion agrees to not undertake any military actions which could be construed as the initiation of hostilities between both parties; 2.2] The Commonwealth agrees to not undertake any actions which could be construed as the initiation of hostilities between both parties; 2.3] In a situation wherein one party accuses the other of breach of articles 2.1 or 2.2 a mutually agreeable arbiter will be choosen by both parties, and the ruling will be adhered to by both parties; 2.4] Articles 2.1 and 2.2 do not overrule any other defensive agreements contracted by either or both parties, nor do they preclude the use of defensive force to police their own soverign terrorites and seas. 3.1] The Dominion shall lower import tariffs by 50% on Commonwealth consumer goods, bank transactions, and shipping services; 3.2] The Commonwealth shall lower import tariffs by on Dominion steel, coal, wood, and agricultural products; 3.3] The parties to this agreement may, after having this treaty in effect for 1 year, and upon their mutual agreement, abolish tariffs on all exports and imports between both parties, thereby establishing a free trade agreement. 4.1] This agreement is binding for 3 years, after which it shall be reviewed; 4.2] This agreement may be invalidated by the agreement of both parties immediately; 4.3] Breach of any article invalidates this whole treaty; 4.4] Disputes over breaches will be mediated by a mutally agreeable arbiter to both parties, whom agree to adhere to the rulings; 4.5] A declaration of War automatically invalidates this treaty. |
