Kaminari stood before his anvil battering into it with his smiths hammer. Clang clang clang; the sound rebounded off the walls of the cave adding to the cacophony of noises the lingered all about. He flipped the piece of steel and continued his hammering, sparks shooting out with every swing. Swing after swing the method became simple and elegant. Until finally he was satisfied with the results and dropped the steel into a bath of water; steam rose up like a cloud. He strode from the mighty anvil, and wiped his hand across his brow, clearing the sweat from it. He grabbed a rag from a rack which sat nearby, loaded with weapons of varying type that still needed work. He cleaned the grime from his hands and face as he tossed the rag back onto the rack. He looked to the varying racks that hung along the large rock face wall off in the distance. Fine work each one was, each made by hand; his hands. He walked to it and then along its entire length, only stopping to select a few weapons; the gun blades he loved so much, some kunai in a pouch which he tied to his waist, and 2 large two-handed axes. He secured them all to is person as he had done many times before. He then strode back to the forge, it stood at the center of the cavern. He looked around in each direction with joy; the cave was truly a great find for it was huge in size. He grabbed his helmet as he walked towards where a table stood far off to the right of the forge; a nearby throne had been carved out of earth; another worked he was proud to name his own. Upon the large table was a map that displayed the whole of the nations, everything that there was to be seen. He surveyed it, wondering where best to begin. Sure he was after wanton destruction, but who said it couldn't be strategic. He looked down at the map studying his options, with his helmet in his hands and his weapons at his sides. A wicked grin arced across his face illuminated by torches along the caves walls, as the sounds of hammering finally dwindled into memory.

Kaminari smiled as he finalized the plans in his head. He left the table and walked to the back of the cave where a set of large iron double doors stood embedded in the rock. He grabbed the handles and pulled them open. They creaked as though they had not been opened in some time. He then entered the room and there sat two caskets, each marked with an appropriate symbol on its face. All the preparations were in order. The game was afoot some would say, but he was patient for the time was yet at hand. All the pieces were just about in place. He walked back out of the doors and shut them gently behind him. He proceeded to the forge once more as he picked the weapon from the bath, and placed in back into the hot coals, before hammering at it once more. His work was nearly done, fortifications were next in line as the cacophony of hammering rebounded across the cavern............. |

Kaminari hefted the third casket on his shoulder as he carried it to the double doors, that seemed newer than before. He set the casket down and pulled the doors open. Then he hefted the casket again and entered the room, that still held two caskets similar to the one he carried at its center. He set the third casket next to the other two and smiled; it was a start. Finding the ones head had proved a little more challenging than he had anticipated but it worked out in the end. Then he walked out of the room and closed the double doors. He surveyed the cave and was delighted at the progress he was making. The racks of weapons no longer sat along the rock wall opposite the forge and the forge itself was missing from the center of the cave. Along each of the four walls stood double doors similar in every way to the double doors that led to the caskets. He proceeded to a set of doors on the left side of the cave. He looked into the room and found himself staring at a room filled with weapon racks. They covered every inch of the walls of the room, and Kaminari smiled at his work. He shut the doors and then walked to the doors adjacent to the "armory" or so he called it. Inside he found a larger room that now housed his forge. He shut those doors to and proceeded to walk to the center of the cave, and from there he looked in every direction; work was still needed but he was making process. Some elementals were in his list of things to include, as well as sacrifices. But all things in their due time. He stood at the center of the cave, it was all coming together. kaminari stood atop the makeshift scaffolding of earth as he hammered away endlessly into the rock wall of the cave. Slowly, meticulously, and with expert precision he etched into the solid rock. At first it started out as lines, which turned into patterns, which transformed into figures. The figures looked like beings from a primordial time. Yet a closer look shown them to be constructs of some nature, the likes of which none had seen other than himself. A closer look into the cave would reveal that upon each wall were the same image of the strange construct; he had been hard at work on preparations. They were posed as if in formation, behind each row stood another of similar fashion. On the very furthest wall, was a depiction of 2 larger constructs which seemed to be of even greater potency. Chink Chink Chink. The sound of chipping and hammering echoed around the cave, exiting the cave's mouth and fading into oblivion upon the winds. He brushed some rock dust from his hands as he stepped down from the scaffolding. He surveyed the once bleak cave, that now seemed to come alive to the eyes. The figures upon the walls meant nothing to any who would look upon them save for he himself. For he knew what they truly were and what purpose they would serve in the times to come. A quick glance at the double doors that held the casket and he swore he heard whispers, echoes of voices long since departed and laughed. The game was afoot but not yet would all the pieces surface. Fodder was in short supply and he meant to stock up. As well as a few live "rabbits" to add to the finishing touches. He smiled and laughed, as he walked to the entrance where work was still needed to level out the entrance to an upward slope so that any foes entering would have to go up hill; not to mention stairs. He grabbed his hammer and walked towards the entrance to continue his work. The sounds of hammering echoed and rebounding before dying into nothingness; the eyes of the constructs seemed hollow and empty of life. Yet a closer look and one could swear that they saw a flicker of flames burning with a desire for destruction; but all was not as it seemed in these halls.

The man stood atop the ledge overlooking the large pool of water; a waterfall cascading downwards only a arms length from him. He looked down from beneath his hood that enshrouded his face. The vibrant blue of his robe seemed to shimmer and radiate. He flash stepped and appeared behind the waterfall. Kokoro looked through the waterfall that shrouded the entrance to the cave. Perimeter defenses were in order and he pondered how to tell Kaminari; he knew the man was hard at work. He stalked through a series of large tunnels that funneled together, finally reaching the entrance to the large cavern that housed their base of operations. He looked around the large cavernous room noting the recent changes that Kaminari had put into place, such as the staircase leading up into the cavern as well as all the doors and lack of a forge. He smiled as he surveyed the figures carved into the walls. He climbed a scaffolding and ran his fingers along the carvings. The man was indeed a craftsmen if nothing less. He had a faint idea of what the true purpose was for the carvings, Kaminari had spoke of it a few times before in the past. His eyes caught the eyes of one of the carvings and for a second it shined with the life of a hungering flame intent upon consuming him whole. But then he blinked and it was nothing more than a carving once more. He pulled back his hood as he descended the scaffolding revealing his vibrant blue hair and midnight black eyes. Then he turned and found himself looking up into the eyes of a far too familiar face. "Welcome back Kokoro" Kaminari said with his arms folded across his chest, sweat pouring from his brow as though from a long day of work. "Uhm yes, hello Kaminari. I've returned and i believe that we need to establish more perimeter defenses, a barrier or warning signal at the least. The leaf village is currently hosting the chunnin exams that are underway. I see you've made progress, though i never took you as an interior decorator." he said with a smug look on his face. "Someones a funny guy all of a sudden. Keep it up and i could use your help at the forge." Kokoro raised his hands signifying 'no thanks' "Good now i need to set up some preparations for when the forging is done." he said as wiped some sweat from his forehead "I'll think of something to do about the defenses. For now i'd like you to scout around the immediate perimeter and come up with some plans or defense ideas. We have time yet but i'm itching for some fun yet." "very well Kaminari, i shall return in due time." Kokoro turned on his heel and proceded out, pulling his hood over his head. Kaminari smiled, twas one person he could rely on and trust; the kid truly was a catch. |

Kaminari stood back from the left rock face of the cavern where he had added two more doors to the already existing three. Upon each of the doors was a symbol of each element; one door for every one of the base elements. He turned back to look at the center of the cave where he had added some carvings into the ground that were more for effect than anything but did aid in the forging process. He turned to a door on the right rock face and entered, within he found attire and armor of varying types. So he pulled a cloak/robes similar in nature to the ones Kokoro wore but they were of pure black instead of blue, with white lining. He donned the cloak/robes and proceeded out of the room, heading down the steps and out of the cavern. He scanned the area and let out a specifically pitched whistle....... Kokoro heard the whistle and hurried to its point of origin...... Kaminari smiled as Kokoro appeared before him "well it looks like its about time to move on down the line in our preparations. We are off to gather fodder for the elementals, then when we return and i have finished the beginings we shall procede on to perimeter defenses. The dead lay in peace Kokoro, lets go relieve them of their empty shells." Kokoro nodded "lets go then" was all he said as he ran over the notes in mentally had wrote down in regards to the perimeter defenses. They were off to gather fodder, bodies that would house Kaminari's elementals. Where they were off to he did not need to know and he didn't care; any village would do. He watched as Kaminari flash stepped away and he quickly followed right behind him. Kaminari thought has he raced towards his first stop, where oh where to go.......... |

((for all those curious in the evil workings of my guy and his cohort, there was a small time skip that occurred due to the fact i needed to make preparations that would have taken to long so to smooth things out we did a time skip and now whats happening now is on line with the current plot progression; Ty for your patience and understanding)) Kaminari lifted one of the bodies from the wall and placed it upon the ground in the center of the cave. Then he stretched out his arms and gathered himself, centering his mind and body before making the appropriate hand seals and placing his hands upon the body. Chakra flowed from his hands into the dead body; pathways that had long since known the flow of chakra surged in its wake. The chakra enveloped every inch of the the body, slowly but surely the chakra built and built until finally Kaminari removed his hands from the body and let the rest play out before him. Slowly the chakra condensed and condensed. Finally it happened, it came low and quiet but the slow rhythm of a heartbeat began to go. Bump....................Bump...................Bump..Bump..Bump. The elemental was beginning its reconstruction of the body. He watched as the eyes gave way into balls of pure white, swirling white that seemed to move about within the eye. Hmmm so it was a wind elemental. He watched as the woman's hair flowed as though blown by some unseen wind; it even seemed corporeal. The body seemed to rise of its own volition as the elemental opened its mouth and took a breath. It looked to Kaminari, the man who towered above it, its creator and in a tone that seemed to carry off on a wind that could not exist naturally in the cave "I li...ve to se...rve" as it knelt before him. He led it to the door that was marked wind and led it inside. "await my orders, for now rest, the fight is yet ahead of us." and with that the elemental shut its eyes and fell into a stationary trance. Kaminari proceeded to grab another body and repeat the process. After five successes he had produced one elemental of each of the five elements. They now rested within their respective chambers awaiting his command. He noted Kokoro's absence but then he remembered he had sent him to install perimeter defenses. No matter. He looked to the carvings on the wall and then to the scorch mark left by the birth of the fire elemental. He saw the spark of flames that lingered in the hollow eye sockets of the carvings. He marveled that defense. It would be an excellent ace in the hole if it became needed. He brushed off his hands. He felt drained of energy. The forging process had been hard and the body which housed fire had almost fractured under the heat and strain. But it was a success none the less. He walked over to a wall and revealed a hidden doorway which led to his quarters. Only Kokoro knew of the door but not how to access it and he trusted the lad well enough to know he was safe while he slept. He walked down the corridor and entered his quarters. He slipped into the massive hammock and shut his eyes. They sound of the earth resounded through the walls as the elemental slept. He welcomed the noise and drifted into the realm of sleep. Dreams of oblivion, of cataclysms of such scales that they would shatter the world in two lingered and lept about like deer fleeing a predator who had come to close to catching them; but they could not run forever for the predator was cunning and persistent and getting closer. |

Kokoro slipped back through the entrance of the cave and rose up the stone staircase. He noted the recent activity he knew to be of Kaminari's doing. He looked to the doors that housed the newly formed elementals. He cracked open one of the doors just a tidbit and peaked inside with childish curiosity. Within stood the sleeping form of a woman, rather beautiful to say the least. But her features were far from their normal. Lines of energy cascaded down her body in intricate patterns. Her hair once a dark midnight black seemed to crackle and snap as they made of pure lightning. He watched intently as the lines surged with a constant flow of chakra that caused an arc to release from the woman's hand to impale the wall leaving a chard black mark upon the wall. She stood motionless in a trance of sleep. He slid the door back shut and walked along the wall; noting to low rumbling emitting from the earth chamber. He finally ran his hand along until it ran over a small bump in the wall. Then he dispersed the illusion upon the wall and walked through into his quarters. A spiral staircase extended up a ways finally leveling out to form his quarters. Within sat 3 large bookshelves adorned with books of varying quality and size. A small fireplace sat at the back, crackling, flames biting at the last bits of wood that slowly burned into ash. He walked over and sat in a chair that sat before the fire. he pulled back his hood and his features shined in the flames. He leaned back satisfied and not.....work was never ending but needed. He was sore tired and the sight of the elemental still lingered in his mind as he fell into sleep;the arcing of lightning shattered through the sky as rain decended to smother the world...... |

The fire elemental stood in silence stirring in his sleep. Flames erupted from what should have been his hair. His skin had a red hue to it and lines ran down its length; surging with power. The elemental mumbled, incomprehensible babel. Words unknown to this world. Its dreams were filled with nothing but flame, ever consuming, ever burning. All was ash beneath his wake. He mumbled more babel, fire shot from his fingertips, impaling into the ground as needles of fire that fizzled into nothingness. He stirred no more, his babel but a whisper. A single phrase sounded true and low to all within ear shot....."Buuuurn, let it aaaaalllll buuuurn" Kaminari rose and exited his chambers, only a tad bit groggy. He strode towards the forge room, slid open the door and left it open behind him. He grabbed his smithy hammer and looked to the half filled rack which sat by the forge. It held upon it 2 of 5 conduit blades that needed to be finished. They would be used by the elementals in battle. He took up the steel and stuck it into the hot coals. Then pulled it out and hammered away into it. Sparks flew like butterflies on the breeze. Clang....Clang...Clang. The noise was rhythmical, like a song that had been sung for ages. Surprisingly enough as he hammered away repeating the process of forging as he went, he began to sing. A tune that seemed to be known well by him. "Hammer one, and hammer two, hammer away, as i do, we shall forge, of earth and stone, a blade to hold, a weapon to hone, and again and again, we shall hammer away, we shall hammer through night, and into the day." Kaminari sang the song with resolve as the sounds of clanging and hammering echoed about the room. Time seemed impossible and irrelevant. Only the hammering was consistent and real, the finished product the only goal. Too many scars he had bared too fail.......... |

Kaminari hefted the large rack of weapons and carried them out of the room. He proceeded over to the adjacent rooms which housed his elemental creations. He set the rack down a short ways from the doors and made some quick hand seals then clapped his hands. All five set of doors opened in unison and from within the dark depth strode the elemental warriors. Each unique and a masterpiece of craftsmanship and raw power. The strode to the rack one after the other and picked up a set of the conduit blades that he had just finished forging not to long ago. Then they lined up in a line one after the next and their respective blades transformed, taking on the respective appearance of their element. Fire flowed, wind howled, earth shook, water dripped, and lightning crackled in the air. They were only five but formidable in battle. Plus he knew their true forms and they were worse still, though unstable, unpredictable. He looked each ninja over, inspecting them. He saw within them the raw power, the pure destructive capability and a strange semblance of humanity that was no longer possible. They stood erect like elegant monuments standing against the test of time, implacable and perfect in beauty. They sheathed their blades and bowed, returning to their respective chambers. Kaminari wiped his brow and smiled as each door slid shut. He smiled and strode out into the world, a little mayhem was in order, something small scale......... |
