I winced as my fist hit Choten, thanks to Trey's unexpected way of dodging, but he luckily recovered quickly. "I don't know... But isn't it kind of odd? We started this to help him with his defense, and we're stuck here trying to improve our attacks!" I whispered back to him, biting my lip. There had to be a way to get a hit through... |

You neglect the fact we still have our headsets on so I can hear your words clearly." I jumped backwards and to the side to get a better look at the both of them. No more slip ups. If I don't keep them both in full sight then I have a worse chance. This is tough. Wait... Where's Chojuto-Sensei? I ducked down as soon as I had seen the slightest movement to my left and avoided Chojuto-Sensei's attack. Not only was it just a punch but a kick had come towards me forcing me to jump forward. But it didn't end there. I had rocks the size of my head flying at me that I had to flip out of the way of, or else it could have ended badly. Sideways flips and front flips and just jumping out of the way! I couldn't tell if he was going easy on me or not. I felt the disturbance of ground underneath me and moved myself away quickly to avoid the same fate Choten had me suffer the first time. The hand came up and searched for me for a second then disappeared back into the earth. I looked back at Choten and Xaetra. They were still there, so it must have been a clone. There's not much else I can do right now. I think my best bet to avoid everything coming at me would be to bring Zendif back and get some maneuver training with him too I pulled out a kunai and cut my palm followed by the correct summon hand signs: Boar, Dog, Bird, Monkey, Ram "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" Zendif the Blue Jay appeared and I instantly hopped aboard his back. From then on was Zendif's place of judgement. I just served as extra eyes to observe any possible rocks flying that may hit Zendif. "Be prepared to possibly be hit with flying rocks! This may only be training but if it happens in battle and we're not prepared then we're as good as gone. So lets practice against it now!" "Right!" Rocks flying left and right. I didn't know when they would stop until I got word from Chojuto-Sensei telling me to fly back down to the ground from enough air training. We were exhausted and not sure if there were more attacks waiting for us on the ground. But we were prepared to move if needed. Edited by Kellach, Dec 23 2008, 10:35 PM.

With Chojuto's additional pressure, Trey decided to summon his bird and take flight into the sky to better dodge our attacks. Me and Chojuto continued to use our doryu dango jutsu on him, but it wasn't very effective as an anti-air attack. After we realized it's uselessness, Chojuto motioned for me and Xaetra to come over while muffling our head sets. "I'm going to tell him to come down, but don't attack him when he does," Chojuto said, falsely emphasizing it with hand gestures like pointing at the sky, so that Trey wouldn't notice. "Trey, that's enough flying around!" he hollered into the air. As Trey was descending, Chojuto put his hands behind his back and secretly made a shadow clone underground, preparing to spring upon Trey. |

Zendif and I landed on the ground, suspicious of anything that might be pre-planned. I hopped off his back and kept cautious. "So is avoid training over for now? Or are we jus--" I felt the disturbance under the ground again. -flashback- "Now remember son, there's a certain clan with an underground jutsu. I took time to understand how it worked. You'll feel the movement of Earth underneath your feet but you have to move the split second you feel it or else you'll be pulled under and be burried up to your chest and vulnerable. I'm not sure what it is. But be sure to always keep moving in an unknown area." -end flashback- I moved as quickly as I could dashing to the right and hopping off the ground to get more out of reach from the outreaching arm. They're not done yet |

Trey expertly jumped away from Chojuto's clone, but I could tell that Chojuto was expecting that, because he already had another jutsu ready. "Try to dodge this, Trey! Housenka no Jutsu!" he shouted. A spray of fireballs flew out of his mouth, all curving towards Trey. |

Just then Chojuto had already started to launch another jutsu at me "Try to dodge this, Trey! Housenka no Jutsu!" he shouted. I instantly reacted with handseals and pulled water from the ground and through larger water spikes at the fireballs to put them out. "Suiton Suigadan no Jutsu! How bout that?" Chojuto was impressed and praised my quickness. "Great job! I wasn't expecting such a quick reaction! Your father sure has taught you well! I think thats enough for today, you all may go home now and rest up. Besides you have the Chuunin exams ahead to look forward to!" We were all a little excited and a little worried for the upcoming trial ahead of us. But we were much more prepared for it now.
