A small village that took up an area of about a square mile could be found in the remote mountainside, almost like over night the land scape had been invaded by numerous crimson lotus flowers that grew up in a random pattern around the village and the area surrounding the village, even within the forest area to. These flowers covered an area just over a mile and a half but it wasn't so much the flowers that were strange but what lay beneath the earth that one was unable to see that truly would have been unusual. Connecting all of these flowers that were spread out across the area was a series of interconnecting web like vines that if one was able to unlock the pattern of vines and trace them back to their origin one would be able to determine that they actually run to a cloaked figure that was about a mile away in the tree line that was far out of site from anyone within the village.

Chakra pulsed silently through the vines as the masked individual that set in the lotus position with his gloved hands holding the dragon hand seal, as the sunlight began to fall upon the edge of the village after coming over the mountain peak to the east now the figure was searching for some one. A vine like creature that was small in size and low to the ground to the point that it was below the top of the grass in some places moved towards the town like a serpent with good speed. 'The target should be somewhere near the center of the town, I haven't found him yet.' The masked figure within the three line spoke within his mind but the 'other half of him' that was slithering through the grass had just slipped through the edge of the town's boundary and slowed its movements now as it seemed to just maintaining itself within the shadows. This slithering vine manifestation was actually half of Chin as his other half remained outside in the tree line far away from the village itself. Currently the young man was searching for a specific individual, only information was required on his part not dealing with or killing the individual in question which was for the best as the young shinobi's skills leaned more towards espionage and stealth then actual combat.

The person that the man was searching for was an older man, a retired shinobi whom had settled down for a simple life out in the outskirts of this mountain range, though this figure was no longer a shinobi there were still people who wanted information about men like him. Be it for their own gain or for further operations to capture or kill the individual. Chin really had no care for what happened with the information after he acquired it as for now it was the only way someone 'like him' could make a living with the tool set that he possessed. Both of the masked figures eyes were closed as he maintained his sensory technique now while the information that he relayed to his 'other half'. Forming a new hand seal the cloaked figure activated two of the flowers within the village near a strong chakra signature as the crimson lotuses sways gently before their bloom opened slightly more and within the depths of each flower an almost concealed eye formed allowing for the missing-nin to observe the area in which he sensed the possible target. 'This appear to be the man that I'm looking for...'

Yato had been traversing for what felt like an eternity--endlessly searching for the man who he felt he could finally kill, after so many years of reprieve. But every time he felt like he was getting close to finally finding him, the trail would fade and he would be back to square one. Wandering aimlessly had brought him to a remote location in the mountainside without so much of a hint as to where he might go next. The scenery was beautiful: a setting sun that grazed and flirted with energy against the numerous crimson flowers that were scattered along the terrain almost seemed to have a trail that led to... Something. The vines that were interwoven between each and every flower invited him seductively, as if they were saying, "come, rest now"

The recon mission was already a couple days in without a wink of sleep, and even the enigmatic and seemingly invincible Yato was beginning to feel weathered. And so he walked.

He wore a dark hooded robe that flowed down to his ankles as to cover the multitude of hands that gripped his body. The robe draped so heavily that from a distance, Yato appeared to be a floating piece of black cloth in the wind. As he followed the trail of vines, he couldn't help but feel as if there was a presence near him. It wasn't like he could sense chakra or that he had any capacity to do so. He just felt a bizarre tug in his consciousness that was telling him he was potentially in danger. Breaking his dazed state, he tapped lightly on his neck with firm fingers, a habit that he developed to tell himself he had to stay awake.

Amazingly enough, his intuition didn't fail him--sure enough, an indiscernible figure donning a cloak was only a short distance away. It seemed all too strange that the trail of flora led to him, though. Now suddenly fully awake and wary, Yato cocked his head as he poised for potential combat as he made a slow but steady strut towards the figure. As he got closer it became evident that the figure was forming hand seals of some sort, and focus was not on himself, but somewhere else. Even so, he kept his poise, ready for the worst.

It wasn't too long until he reached a distance where he could speak quietly yet audibly to Chin. "What're you doing there?" he playfully asked, breaking the tension as he smiled wide. Surely, his appearance would shock any normal human, but Chin didn't seem to be a human. Rather, he was a... Thing. Yato had never seen anything of the sort, and curiosity quickly began to well up inside him.

The sensory root technique allowed for the young missing-nin to easily take notice of the approaching figure whom he had then taken the time to utilize his flower viewing technique to in order to observe the unknown individual as they seemed to wonder through the tree line moving closer and closer to his actual position. It was during this time that he took note of the man's layer upon layer of fabric that seemed to hid from view any distinguishing feature that could have been used to help identify the person. Even in the short time that he had been working in such a line of work, the young man had memorized a number of higher level targets which people had put requests for information in for others to be on the look out for. But currently none of them allowed for the shinobi to be able to identify the person walking towards them as all that he could assume was that the person appeared to be a male just based on the type of body movements that garbed figure made while moving forwards.

In truth the young man could have easily went ahead and fled but his other half was still 'working' in the small village that was currently out of sight from that position within the forest and he needed to maintain a steady level of concentration to ensure that the sensing technique wasn't broken. This was truly limiting to Chin but at the same time the vine bodied former Suna-nin felt that even though he wasn't that helpful in a fight due to his skill sets that his escape and evasion skills weren't to bad either now and unless this person was a very powerful figure then his chances of getting away from this place would be decently high. Also, Chin didn't haven't both of his cores here so in slim chance that he was drawn into a battle in which he could escape then at least he would be able to continue living despite the huge sacrifice of losing one of his cores and the amount of stamina that he would take a hit for.

As the man finally drew close enough to enter an audible range between the two missing-nin Chin was able to hear the quietly spoken words of the fellow that from his voice seemed to actually be close to his own age. This caused for the multitude of vines that had swirled together beneath the wooden mask to furrow slightly as at the same time a feeling of danger washed over him briefly. The only visible distinction of this would have been that the gloved hands holding a dragon hand seal twitched slightly but the man remained mostly concentrated on the sensing technique that was providing images to him of the surrounding area and the town which they ran underneath which allowed for his other half to finally visually acquire that target that they had been searching for the last couple of weeks for. 'Keep track of the man, the other person I was sensing has arrived here. Let me know if anything happens, for now I don't need any assistance here.' Chin spoke out mentally to his other half now who simply replied back with a single would to him now before going on about his assigned task. 'Okay...'

The miniature vine creature moved into the earth as it began to almost 'swim' under the ground now as it went about tracking the target listening for any vital information that could be used in order to supply his buyer with additional info that went beyond just the target's current location. While nearly two miles away the masked figure would finally look up only a few moments after being spoken to by Yato now as he was able to use just enough concentration to continue maintaining the technique but doing so would halt the growth of the technique but this was of little concern as the network had been spread far enough at this point to achieve his previous goal. "Simply working...and yourself?" A hoarse voice replied to the young man before them as his 'back bone' seemed to straight up from the former slightly humped over position now, the voice sounded almost weak in its tone due to the lack of use but it could still be determined that he belonged to someone in their late teens most likely. Chin replied with the simple truth as he took a slight pause and flipped the question back around on the unknown figure now, slightly interested in how the man seemed to almost coincidently come across his concealed position within the forest. 'This man gives me an odd feeling...'

Yato tilted his head and narrowed his eyes upon hearing the plant-creature's voice. Coarse voice. Light. He's either been quiet for a good amount of time, or he just doesn't talk. Either way... Breaking his stare at Chin, he took another look at the root-covered terrain underneath his feet, as well as at the area around him. Ah. In a strange way, it seemed almost as if Chin had been leading him over to the area, but for what? For one, it didn't take a moron to see that Chin was in the middle of what seemed to be a covert mission. Stroking his chin, Yato took another good look at Chin: judging by the seal he was holding, it was obvious that he was a shinobi of some sort. Regardless, it was obvious that Chin had bigger fish to fry than trying to fight; Yato was curious at best.

"Well... I'm uh..." Yato stalled, as his own eyes began to glow a faint wispy purple. He focused on Chin as he began to let Chin's senses take over his own body. As soon as this happened, a rush of adrenaline flowed through his body, as if the explosion of sensory stimulation was a drug. He could see... Just about everything. He began to breathe heavily and sweat as he fell to his knees taking in all of the information that Chin was receiving through sensory abilities. "So that's what you're doi--" Cutting himself off mid-sentence, he noticed a very familiar image in his head.

Muzan.

There was no mistaking it. The image wasn't the clearest, and he couldn't really do anything more than see him, but he could spot his torturer at a glance of just a millisecond long: everything from his strange posture, to his mannerisms, right down to the way he walked was an image burned into Yato's head from years of experimentation and suffering. He had finally found him, thanks to the strange plant-thing standing beside him.

Quickly de-activating his dojutsu, he lunged at Chin, grabbing whatever clothes he could, as he glared straight at the wooden mask with piercing eyes. "Why are you looking for him?! Tell me now!" He demanded, shaking Chin as he growled at him.

'This guy!' The man suddenly rushed him mid sentence, though it wasn't something the young man was unprepared for but he had not expected for the stranger to act so rashly without even feeling him out at all. Not to mention this it was also like the unknown figure had been able to realize with a simple gaze what he was doing as well with troubled the spy now. His opponent's moments weren't fast but at the same time weren't entirely slow either as he rushed across the gap between them but it was enough time for the vine shinobi to react to the situation as well. Both arms dislocated themselves from the additional vines within the clunky looking robe just below were the elbow of the arms should have been as Yato would grasp hold of him now seeming to be demanding answers for why he was looking for someone. 'Does he mean Muzan? How?!' If the former Suna-nin had an actual set of lips then they would have been twisted into a confused and irritated expression now as the stranger was staring into his own mask.

It would be at this moment when both arms, from below the elbow region, shot forwards as the left arm went directly towards the unknown figure's throat and the other arm spilt apart as the glove on its 'hand' was ripped to shreds as multiple tentacles would move with impressive speed to then entangle the man's entire body if given the opportunity to do so but they would first aim to take control of the limb belonging to the hand holding onto his cloak now. As the moment came to an end Chin would be standing up now having done so during the counter attack on his own part as he spoke with his voice not being as hoarse as before but still getting use to being used. "What are you talking about? Who sent you here?" The voice of the man demonstrated that he was attempting to remain calm but the slight hint of anger was obvious within it as the man had broken his concentration and in turn broke the sensory technique he had been using.

At least the twin of himself was still locked onto the target as it moved beneath the ground silently tracking the old man now, it knew everything that was going on back in the forest but stayed on target for now as the other half could take care of himself or at the least escaping was always an option now. It continued to trail the target and listen for any information that might prove useful to the information broker who had requested information on the old man and his current location and possible future locations. Back at the confrontation between the two young men it was at his time through his mask that Chin was able to notice the ring upon the stranger's hand and was even able to actually see the youthful face of this foe. 'That ring...Chishiki?!' His thoughts instantly changed as this man belonged to a powerful organization within the community of missing-nin and was ran by a literal monster of a man.

Knowing this new piece of information he was able to disconcert that most likely the individual whom he had attempted to tie down with his tentacles was not here for him, then why was he here? Who was he? And how did he know exactly whom he was looking at? So many questions but he was waiting for an answer to his own first two questions and after he got that reply then he would return with.. "The man, Muzan, has a request for information out on him and I'm fulfilling that contract as we speak. But what interest do you have with this man?" Chin couldn't help but ask what the connection between the shinobi from Chishiki was and the Muzan character as he had not been able to figure out whom the figure was. If the man spoke his name then the former Suna-nin would at least be able to understand whom he was dealing with...

Yato hadn't realized the how rash and dangerous his actions were until it was too late. As the vines sprung out suddenly from Chin's sleeves, Yato was lifted off of his feet and bound completely by the plant-man's limbs. He stared down at Chin with sweat dropping from his brow as his expression went from surprised to sour in a matter of seconds. Shit. He was caught. Luckily, he wasn't dead yet--had it been him in Chin's shoes instead, who knows what would have happened? He certainly wouldn't just be put in some bindings--the man engaging with Yato had a level-headed mentality; perhaps in the world of village-based shinobi, this would have been just fine.

But not as a nukenin.

Hands would rumble underneath the tentacles that bound Yato's body before easily breaking out of them and freeing Yato. As soon as this would happen, 10 floating hands would fly towards and surround Chin on all sides, curling, stretching, and retracting the fingers playfully as if they were about to lunge at him. "You're lucky I need your information right now, else I would have blown you to bits on the spot," he growled. "And what interest I have in this man shouldn't matter to you." Yato's expression seemed confused as he spoke, as if he was surprised that his usually playful demeanor was reduced to the confines of anger. But he was--all of a sudden--so close to finally achieving the revenge that he had been pursuing for the past six years. Six whole years without progress did a whole lot in terms of making him impatient with the situation; the fact that some plant-chump had taken the reins before he could even come close was already irritating enough to him.

The truth of the matter was, he would normally feel no hesitation towards telling Chin why he needed to catch Muzan, but he couldn't afford to waste time. The plant-man in front of him knew where Muzan was, and that was more valuable than anything else, at the moment. "Here..." Yato lifted his robe and pulled a leather backpack, dropping it in front of Chin. Upon further inspection, the bag would be full of cash. "This should be way more than what you're getting paid by your contractor. You work for me, now." He would look out in the distance for a short moment before turning back to Chin. "Deal?"

'What is this person thinking...' Chin was contemplating what it was about the man he was tracking that would have this stranger act so irrationally because of just the image of him, but it could only be determined that there must have been a very checkered past between the two men, one old and one young. Though next their was a struggle from within the vines that contained the cloaked man as a strength much greater than his own suddenly burst forth from the vines freeing him from the confines in only a few moments which the young missing-nin took to create a distance between the two of them only to discover the cause. These were hands? Who the hell was this freaky guy? That was even weirder than his plant based body. 'Not good!'

Almost instantly he would find himself surrounded and the first thought was to flee, but not in the normal manner as such an exit had already been sealed off by the creepy floating hands that appeared as thought they might wish to attack at any moment. With the situation in mind he had already completed retracting his left hand as the right hand vines had been damaged by the other hands and the fines moved around inside the cloak of fabric creating a shell of his body. A simple diversion as he 'swam' into the ground beneath his feel leaving the decoy of himself with the fabric and mask still supported in a stationary position as he moved away a bit listening through the earth as the man informed him how lucky that he was due to the information that he currently held. 'This man is to dangerous...' Chin only had only had a single thought and that this man was dangerous. But this was the same kind of man that the young man was seeking to more or less hide in their shadow from the village perusing him.

If the elemental body user had eyebrows he would have raised one as he heard the leather bag hit the ground and the tone of the man change as he explained the contents of the bag now and that it was way more than he was currently getting paid by his contractor and that he would work for the missing-nin before him now. Letting out a light sigh a few stray vines reached up through the soil and grabbed the bag pulling it underneath the earth and to where the shinobi had hidden himself away as he had been planning to flee this place. Upon inspection he almost gasped as this was at least three times the normal rate if not more and he shook his head now.

"Very well, money truly does rule over the world..." The ypung voice of the shinobi could be heard ten meyers off to the left of Yato now as a mass of vines that were curled and twisted into the form of a head and face emerged from the tall grass that covered the forest floor now. As the words came to an end the man had fully emerged now as the body was a series of intertwined vines with a handful of crimson lotus blooms sprouting from the vines. A gentle aroma that was pleasant to the nose permeated the air now as Chin moved toward the free standing clothing and mask.

"The mark is about two miles to the north west in a small village, currently he has moved to a small restaurant on the western side of the village." With the money in hand now, absorbed into his plant body already, the man spoke as he moved before 'slithering' back into his clothes now only taking a moment to do so. After that moment he was ready to move and take this man too the target's location. "What is your name?" As they spoke the user's twin continued its stealthy surveillance of the old man Chin was still trying to figure out who he was dealing with...

The strange plant-man was nothing short of surprises. It seemed that his whole existence was dedicated for the sole purpose of sneaking around and gaining information without any direct conflict--it was different to Yato, who had spent his whole life training for the sake of devastating entire countries.

He was asked his name--something that he hadn't experienced since his run-in with Kenji where he was coerced into joining Chishiki.

"Yato. Hanazawa, Yato." Although he was fairly confident that this time, he could have a fighting chance against if he trolled, now wasn't the time to be playing games. The fact that the plant man knew exactly where Muzan was and where he was heading was an extremely useful trait, and he wasn't about to botch his chances now, of all times. His hands would retreat from Chin's body before returning to their respective spots on his own body. Things were calming down between the two, it seemed.

Yato's fists clenched tightly once again as his veins would begin to protrude around his forearms. He ground his teeth against each other as he stared out in the direction that Chin had told him of. Strangely enough, this type of distress wasn't all too common for the young pale nukenin; in fact, he hadn't felt like this since his time in Konoha. It was a feeling of... Pain. The images of torture and experimentation by his former sensei were things that would never leave his mind, and in fact were things that were haunting him right at this moment. He stared down at his arms as he took heavy breaths staring at each individual scar that riddled his porcelain skin. Each blemish was a storybook; as his eyes darted from scar to scar, he remembered exactly how he got each one. His mind slowly plunged deeper and deeper into the void of repressed memories and his stare began to grow blank and his fists released open. For a second, it would seem like he was daydreaming, or worse, stuck in a Genjutsu.

"Ah!" He shook his head, breaking his daze as beads of sweat flew off his hair like water off a mop. Returning to those memories was something he hadn't done before--ever.

He crouched and stared out once more towards the north. The truth was, he would have liked nothing more than to just speed off and lunge at Muzan given the chance, but the man was crafty and could slip out of a kraken's grip, if he so desired. They needed a plan. Looking back at Chin, he spoke. "You're the one with all of the information, err..." He had just noticed that Chin hadn't given his own name. Regardless, he continued. "... Plant-kun. I'll need you to join me in following him with a plan in mind. Today, we don't just get information." He narrowed his eyes. "We kill him."

"Hanazawa, Yato..." The young man, or what was left of the young man quietly muttered the name to himself as he was searching through his thought banks in order to retrieve any information about the name of the man who had assumed the roll of his new benefactor for the time being. Taking that moment he managed to withdraw a few bits of information, though the items that he was able to instantly recall let him know that this youthful man had a reputation to match his overbearing attitude. Sighing to himself the man recovered from the brief moment of contemplation to turn and see that Yato had drifted off into an almost day dream like state.

'What's with this guy? I wonder what the connection between these two are to the point that it would cause the man to act so strangely...is he sweating?' The masked shinobi's head suddenly tilted off to the right now as he managed to create a confused look upon his twisted face of fines and crimson lotus flowers. This young missing-nin before him seemed a bit strange. But after a few moments the man seemed to snap out of what ever day dreaming state he was in before turning back into the over bearing young man that he was before. This caused for Chin to tilt his head a bit now but in the end he simple shook his head back and forth from within the hooded cloak and turned towards the direction of the out of sight village now.

"Kill..? Very well. It'll take a little bit to head around and approach the village from the far side closer to the target. My other half will keep watch over him till we arrive. From there it will be on you, boss." With a nod the man turned and began to move at a comfortable pace to him now as he started to circle around to the north in order to begin flanking the village. Wanting to circle around the village and approach from the far side allowing the target to be placed between him and his other half as he wanted to see what this young man that had become his 'boss' for the time being was truly capable of.

Following what the strange plant-man was telling him to do wasn't a point of contention. For once in his life, Yato found that he needed someone else's help. It was a strange feeling--emotions of frustration, relief, and desperation had mixed together and became a welling monster within. He didn't like it, but he understood that if we was going to finally enact his revenge on his former master, it was going to be through the help of Plant-kun. He followed the vine-creature with a swift gait as he quickly became lost in his thoughts once again.

Only six years ago.
I was locked up in that hell hole Konoha.
My chest was sliced open repeatedly.
My organs were replaced.
My muscles, re-arranged.
Every night, the person who I was coming in would be a different person than who I was coming out.

His fists clenched and his teeth gritted against eachother audibly as he began to move faster.

"This is my moment."
