[Wardrobe] Warm, fitted clothing mostly. Kuma has a variety of dark shirts, sleeves, pants, belts and shoes. His training clothing is usually very light-weight shorts or pants, with a white, or matching shirt, or simply being shirtless. On outings, he nearly always wears his favorite hooded fur coat. His ninja pouch is usually tied around either on his right or left hip and all clothing all has the Iwagakure symbol somewhere on them.
During missions and battle scenarios, Kuma wears his custom made metal plate shinobi armor, including gauntlets and a shoulder guard which has a thin red lace extending from the guard to his lower back.
[Forehead Protector] Kuma's forehead protector has a black colored cloth and it is tied around his hip belt. | [Personality] Kuma has always been a kind, genuine and humble boy when growing up. Patriotic to his country, Kuma takes things very serious and responsibly. He sometimes appears too protective of his allies and of innocent people, and this quality of kindness draws in the many people who love him. Being raised by three sisters, Kuma has learned to respect women and never judge anyone by their gender. His training with his sisters have shaped him into a confident and passionate fighter.
He is well known for his incredibly friendly smile and laughter. During battle however, this can seem like a monstrous quality because even in times of great hardship and pain, Kuma is seen smiling. He has shown to greatly respect those who can push themselves to the limit when performing a task and he always attempts to the same, especially in battle as he enjoys a good fight more than anything. Kuma dislikes misunderstandings and unjust behavior. His likes include spicy or slimy food, music and fighting strong people. |

| Super Release - Kōton | By being a master of Doton and using the secrets of Iwagakure no Sato, the user is able to use the next step of the earthen element. Kōton is the elemental release that is able to create and manipulate metals, changing the shape of the materials of that element. Ninjutsu Doton [Zori] D-Ranked Ninjutsu After making the needed handseals, Kuma creates a layer of solid rock around his feet and shoes to protect him from touching any hazards on the floor. The solid rock has jagged edges on his bottom to keep balance on slippery surfaces as well, increasing his foot strength by 1, but lowering his speed by 1 as well. This lasts for four posts.
*[Bond] D-Rank Ninjutsu After forming the needed hand seals and flooding the ground beneath their feet with chakra, the user will cause the earth to fold up around their feet, holding them in place unless pushed back with a force of 4 or higher strength. This lasts for up to two posts, but can be broken by the user with a single additional seal.
[Vent] D-Ranked Ninjutsu After making the needed handseals, Kuma will place his hand on a rock. Up to 3'x3'x3' will be given explosive properties. By adding another seal, Kuma is able to cause the item to explode with the force of 1 exploding tag, sending out rock and debris in all directions. If used on the ground, this can create a crater of a five foot radius.
[Rift] C-Ranked Ninjutsu After making the needed handseals, Kuma will place his hand on a rock. Up to 7'x7'x7' will be given explosive properties. By adding another seal, Kuma is able to cause the item to explode with the force of 3 exploding tags, sending out rock and debris in all directions. If used on the ground, this can create a crater of a seven foot radius.
[Shell] C-Ranked Ninjutsu After making the needed handseals, Kuma will pull from the earth five 3 foot radius rocks that can hover up to five feet into the air, covering him from all sides. These follow Kuma at a speed of 6 and can shield hits up to 5 strength before crumbling. Lasts 5 posts.
[Void] B-Ranked Ninjutsu After making the needed handseals, Kuma will place his hand on a rock. Up to 14x'14'x14' will be given explosive properties. By adding another seal, Kuma is able to cause the item to explode with the force of 5 exploding tags, sending out rock and debris in all directions. If used on the ground, this can create a crater of a fourteen foot radius. Kōton *[Pelletstorm] D-Ranked Ninjutsu After the necessary seals, the ninja will focus chakra into their mouths and spit a small cloud of steel pellets at the target at a speed of strength/2. The pellets can easily break skin and are hazardous to soft areas like the eyes and throat, although they can cause more serious damage to average humans. The maximum distance in meters these pellets travel is also determined by strength/2.
[Jagged Fist] D-Ranked Ninjutsu After making the needed handseals, Kuma punches the earth to create jagged metal ends on his knuckles and fists, giving him an edge in close combat. The metal will become brittle and rust after 4 posts.
[Create: Bow] D-Ranked Ninjutsu After the necessary seals, Kuma can reshape his metal weapon into a standard 2 meter long bow with a thin steel string for the next eight posts. It returns into it's original sword shape after eight posts or if cancelled sooner. At this level, it takes half a post for it to shape.
[Extend: Sword] D-Ranked Ninjutsu After making the needed handseals, Kuma places his hand on his densely built sword, increasing its length by 4 feet. This lasts for seven posts. The sword returns to its normal length after seven posts or until the technique is cancelled.
[Create: Wire] C-Ranked Ninjutsu After making the needed handseals, Kuma can shape 10, fifty feet long, one millimeter thick steel wires from either or both of his gauntlets. These can be shot out and retracted from his gauntlets using a [Extend: Wire] jutsu. By making another set of seals, the gauntlet will return back into its original shape.
[Create: Arrow] C-Ranked Ninjutsu After making the needed handseals, Kuma places his hand on the ground to shape and pull out up a dozen standard-sized steel arrows and can add them to his quiver. These arrows last for 10 posts after which they will rust and break.
[Extend: Wire] B-Ranked Ninjutsu Prerequisite: [Create: Wire] After making the needed handseals and changing his gauntlets into steel wires, Kuma is able to extend these wires by shooting them of a maximum distance of 50 feet. These are shot, retracted and pulled at a speed equal to the average Kuma 's ninjutsu and control with a maximum speed of 10. These wires are strong enough to pull Kuma 's weight, allowing him to move in the wire's direction at the speed equal to the average of his ninjutsu and control with a maximum of 10. Taijutsu Yoshin *Yoshin • Flinch D-Rank Kenjutsu With a quick feint, the user quickly draws their sword up in an arc, aiming at a foe's eyes usually with intent to slash across their face and injure their eyes. The nature of the technique's movements make it easily read, prompting the target to avoid or dodge.
*Yoshin • Finger Snap D-Rank Kenjutsu Prerequisite: 3 Taijutsu Using a quick striking method, the user of this technique quickly draws a very firm slash towards the hands of the target aimed towards the fingers or palm. The user slashed with the intent to injure the gripping portions of the opponent's hand to knock weapons free with the slash, though the attack itself is shallow. Typically the technique is only useful as a quick disarm method and unsuitable for long term disarming.
*Yoshin • Paper Slash D-Rank Kenjutsu Prerequisite: 3 Taijutsu In this technique, the user switches from the typical critical blows to a more specialized 'swirl' pattern of slashing, which while much less effective in terms of damage, is useful in distraction. Wounds inflicted are patterned to flare up with pain when those muscle areas tighten, causing moves the opponent's make to recoil slightly on their bodies, the wounded areas acting as a detrimental pain in their actions.
*Yoshin • Tension Cutter C-Rank Kenjutsu Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu Focusing on a group of muscles along the opponent's torso, the user of this technique delivers a series of slashes while in movement. This produces a series of evenly spaced lines across the target's mid-section and sides. These cuts are not extremely damaging to the body, but the muscles targeted in that area aid in back and limb movement. Unable to fully draw power from their back or limbs, the target's Strength will reduce by 1 until proper medical attention is reached.
*Yoshin • Trip Up C-Rank Kenjutsu Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu Dropping down to one knee in front of a foe, the user performs a pair of quick slashes across the foe's shins. The user aims for a long nerve across the front of the shin to obstruct their movements. Striking the nerve can be detrimental to the opponent as the nerve is hard to 'miss', considering its size and the relative thin skin against the shin makes even grazes effective. Opponents struck by the effects of this technique suffer a spark of pain that can lock them up long enough for the user to retreat making this an effective distraction or handicap.
*Yoshin • Joint Strike B-Rank Kenjutsu Prerequisite: 7 Taijutsu Quickly moving in close to a foe, the user lunges at a weak point of a foe's joints, such as under the shoulders through the armpit, into the elbow from the crook inside the arms, or behind the knees, etc, and slams the tip of their sword through it in an attempt to obliterate the functioning tendons and cartilage of the joint with any bones it can. This technique is severely debilitating, requiring an Iijutsu user to repair the damage. In some cases rendering the limb below the joint inoperable if a clean hit is delivered. Flawless Aim *Rotation Shot D-Rank Taijutsu The user has perfected the art of adding spiral on the release of a thrown projectile, increasing the distance and accuracy of such attacks. Throws made using Rotation Shot are considered +1 Strength solely for the purpose of determining range.
*Sighting D-Rank Taijutsu Prerequisite: Wit 4 After many hours of training with ranged weaponry, the user is much better able to estimate distances and track moving targets in hectic situations. Such assessments become completely instinctive, allowing the user to change targets seemlessly without losing time between attacks. This technique forms the basis for many of the other techniques in this style.
*Dangerous Position D-Rank Taijutsu Prerequisite: Taijutsu 4 The difference between combat and training is danger and unpredictability. The user of this technique is experienced at loosing weapons from positions other than a set stance, maintaining offense even while acting on the defense or recovering from a fall. Such attacks are made at full Strength and accuracy.
*Prediction Shot C-Rank Taijutsu Prerequisite: Sighting Relying on the ability to discern distance and track targets, the user makes a ranged attack on a moving target. Assuming that the target's speed and direction remain the same, shots made with this technique "lead" the correct amount to almost certainly strike true.
*Point Blank Shot C-Rank Taijutsu Prerequiite: Taijutsu 5 This technique reduces an inherent weakness of a ranged fighter, allowing the user to make ranged attacks at melee range that are very difficult to dodge. The movements required (which vary depending upon the weapon used) sacrifice damage for difficulty to avoid. As such are treated as if they were made at -1 Strength, but targets are at -1 Speed to avoid them. The maximum range for this technique is 10 feet.
*Crippling Shot B-Rank Taijutsu Prerequisite: Sighting, Wit 6 Utilizing knowledge of anatomy and the ability to execute exacting precision, the user makes a ranged attack that leaves a target hampered. Crippling Shot is treated as a normal ranged attack, but it strikes an area of the body such as a hamstring or tendon. For five posts following the attack, the target is -1 Speed and -1 Strength. During these five posts, the target takes minor damage (the equivalent of a Strength 3 slashing attack) if they move at more than 1/2 their Speed. Genjutsu .
BLACK BEAR
The Black Bear is a special broadsword to Kuma being named after himself. The sword very densely build, being heavier than any normal sword as it is specifically designed to have its shape and size altered through Kōton jutsu, creating any weapon of his choice according to whatever scenario he is in. The sword carried on Kuma 's back, opposite to his shoulder guard. The sword has a width of 10cm and length of 100cm. | BATTLE BANEThin metal gauntlets-gloves worn by Kuma during missions and battle scenarios. These gauntlets reach up to his elbows and fit his arms perfectly. While these provide good defense, the sharp steel tip edges (1 inch long) around the gauntlet provide very good as offense during close combat scenarios. MACHINA MAW
Custom-made armor made specifically for Kuma. These pieces of armor are relatively equally strong as ordinary shinobi armor. Designed with metal plates, the pieces armor are as follows: a cuirass on the front and back, two pauldrons, 2 bracers, 2 tassets, 2 hand guards, a hip belt and one shoulder and chest guard on his left shoulder only. These are only worn during missions and battle scenarios.

HISTORYKuma never wanted to grow up as a ninja, but rather he was forced into it by his father and his three sisters. He was taught at home by his father before entering the academy at a young age of nine. Time passed quickly until he graduated into a Genin at the age of twelve and further into a Chuunin at seventeen after giving the test with the help of a spunky young girl around his age named Era, whom he ended up dating the next year. It was the first good thing ever to come out of being a ninja.
It seemed as if his days were going all dandy until his father died of a sudden heart attack. His average, normal everyday life was starting to change drastically. Kuma, for the first time in his life, felt entirely helpless. Hours felt like days and one thing kept whispering inside of his head, "What’s going to happen now..."
Before his father died, he had whispered his last words to Kuma, "It’s you. You can lead this country. S-save... Save everyone..." These grave words stuck into Kuma's head for the rest of his life. He was conflicted because he never wanted to be a shinobi. Killing people was never justified. And there was so much work! Kuma never asked for it! His father wanted so much from him, never from his sisters. He lived under different expectations.
But now, he wanted him to lead the COUNTRY? Kuma wanted to run away from it all, but there were two things that stopped him. His girlfriend and his mother. Two women that always believed in Kuma from the day they met him.
His mother had caught him packing his things when he was ready to leave the village and told him that she respected his wishes and she understood the burden her husband had left on his only son, but she also told him that it was his own decision. She told him she loved him for his kind heart. Killing and hurting people was bad and shinobi do things like that and it indeed was a lit of work, but he could choose to save people instead. Save people. Stop the killing. Live in peace. Kuma really liked that. He had never considered perhaps by making something of himself, he could lead on to greater things and perhaps do something for humanity. He loved his village and if he could save it and bring it peace, then he would accept that responsibility.
Era met up with Kuma after his father's death to console him. She told him that his father believed in him and it was a wonderful thing and that she believed in him too. There really was something called peace in this world, perhaps Kuma could help Iwa in attaining it.
The week after, Kuma asked his sisters, who were special jounin of the village, to train Kuma and it was his greatest and most painful idea ever. Kuma had to sacrifice time and sleep training with his sisters, ruthlessly becoming injured after every class. However, the results of each training were phenomenal. Kuma had developed a passion for fighting and soon the Iwa council could see it too. He was called in to be promoted to Jounin rank at the age of nineteen.
Nowadays, his training only got more brutal. Kuma wanted to, if heaven will it, become the next Kage of Iwa and reign a new 'Era' to his country, as his girlfriend explained. His lovable personality and his improving fighting capability had brought the attention to the people of Iwagakure. He was gaining acknowledgement and renown. His goal seemed to coming closer and closer with every passing day. |
