NSRP Presents...
50 POINT TOURNEY
No, you don't win 50 points...

Hey there guys, welcome to the FIRST ANNUAL 50 Point Tourney event. What is the 50 Point Tourney Event, you ask? Unlike the tourney's you've seen so far like Choice, 2v2, Vanilla, the 50 Point Tourney revolves around a very specific aspect: NOT YOUR CHARACTERS.

Wait, what? Yup, that's right. Here's the guidelines:

No Previously Existing Characters
All characters are created from scratch for the Tourney.
All characters registered are C-Rank
- Posted in the May Registry Forum.
- Start off with 40 stat points.
- Start with 15 Free Jutsu
- Starts off with 50 points to buy weapons/jutsu
- NO CUSTOM JUTSU
- All Jutsu must be clan and/or archive jutsu.
- Cannot use free jutsu on A-Ranks.
- Maximum stat of 9 on registration.
- Cannot use Event Points
- Characters are locked to prevent further edits.
- No Twin Ability
Double Elimination Tournament
- +2 Stats on Win
- +1 Stat on Loss
- 10 Points awarded to both characters
Modifications
- Posted in the May Registry Forum.
- Must purchase clan and/or archive jutsu.
- Maximum stat of 10.
- NO CUSTOM JUTSU
- NO CUSTOM WEAPONS
- Can only have 3 A-Rank jutsu maximum.
- Cannot purchase stat training
- Cannot use Event Points
- Modifications merged into character threads as proof.

YOU CAN HAVE UP TO TWO CHARACTERS FOR THIS TOURNAMENT

Lots of stuff to memorize, but do it anyways. Remember to use the template in the May Registry for everything. Keep it clean and everything. Follow the rules, etc etc. Keep it clean and have a fun time. EP will be awarded. YOU DO NOT GET TO KEEP THESE CHARACTERS AFTER THE EVENT.

Post here to be added on the roster, then work on your character. Once finished, edit your post with your link.

The 15 weapons for 1 point rule is a leak and not even finalized yet and people shouldn't even know about it yet and therefore 20 for 1 point should still be in use until it is released, if it even gets released at all.
With this, people like Eis who are being told to convert to 15 weapons for 1 instead of 20 on their tourney characters should not be getting told this.
This includes Jeffy's char unless you just want to punish him for trying to abuse the current rules (20 for 1 and not 15 for 1), therefore he should only be limited to 20 since the actual current rules are still 20 for 1 unless he and only he gets punished and only allowed 15 for 1 which would be a little harsh.

Again, to summarise, the actual current rules are still 20 kunai etc for 1 point and people shouldn't even know about the 15 for 1 rule that is being discussed by staff and therefore it shouldn't be put into place in this tourney (a tleast not till it is indeed finalized and released).

Plus, this just puts me off form joining even more.

i don't see anything about that at all. it only says you have 50 points to use for weapons and jutsu, it states nowhere from what i can tell that you can get x amount of weapons for y price.

Face only told Jeff really which is a leak for new rules being discussed and shouldn't have really been said, which was the point of the post but I'm also annoyed at the fact that kunai and stuff might get put down to 15 for 1 point for real rules just to make it super mega simple beyond the current simplicity for the rule because apparently new people can't retain that little bit extra information.

That aside, I guess I'd like to join the tourney after all.

Right, as mentioned, weapons in bulk for this tourney are bought at 1 point per 15 standard projectiles.

As for the justification of this rule, what Jeffy did would have be scorned by biomods anyways. In a tourney where materials are scarce, skirting around rules and exploiting an open ended option is not appreciated. Yes, previously, 2 points could get you 50 projectiles flat. But that's 50 projectiles, not 100,000. Since Jeffy basically tried to get infinite projectiles with 2 points, I imposed this rule to prevent others from following is very wrong example.

As for whether or not this will be implemented as a new global rule is irrelevant. For the purpose of this tourney, to prevent abuse, I've added this. I'll remind you that this could have been avoided, and I only resorted to this to deny blatant exploitation of a rule and the subversion of that rule's purpose.
