Physical Features: Nothing out of the ordinary.
Clothing/Accessories:His clothing is actually quite simple. He wears a red hoodie with checkered markings on his left shoulder he tends to roll his sleeves up when wearing however. He also wears black jean cargos with his forehead protector on his belt and we wears red and black shoes to top it off. Yeah maybe a bit to "bright" for your average shinobi...but he's not your average shinobi.
Forehead Protector: As stated before it's located on his belt, however he's planning to somehow implement it into his hood in the nearby future.
Personality: Ryo has an incredibly compulsive personality; he can watch a battle he finds entertaining, completely ignore another battle if it disinterests him, or join the battle if he notices too much fun is going on without him. Mostly when it comes to decision making he doesn’t like having the burden on his shoulders and will quickly defer to the majority as long as he gets his way. He wasn’t always this way, a deep tragedy changed his personality. When he was younger he was driven to succeed, and had a natural curiosity about everything. Now he won’t even so much as glance in the direction of something he deems too boring. It seems that most of the time the he is complaining about being bored, although he becomes most lively with that fresh burst of adrenaline pulsing through his veins.

It should be noted, that he has not fully healed from the emotional trauma of losing a whole team in battle, and so common belief is that once he fully recovers mentally that he might revert back to his old personality traits. More recently, lateness and mission incompletion has become more common due to lack of interest. Moreover, he has actually declined taking missions that are not appealing to him, but on the occasion that he finds the mission attractive, his utmost effort is put forth into completing it, or at least into most of it, with a team-mate being needed for the more boring parts of a mission such as interacting with clients, or even taking orders from a superior.

Aside from whatever emotional distractions that he has, Ryo is highly intelligent. Smart enough to be 2nd in his class, his scores are actually slightly higher than the average scores of all the number one students of the last 17 years. The only reason he finished 2nd at all in the first place was because of the exceptional talent of that years academy class. While most shinobi hate to be under-estimated, Ryo actually loves it because it means he doesn’t have to put as much effort forward.

~ To Search One's Mind Technique
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The Yamanaka, being masters of the mind, realized long ago that the mind is capable of taking in much more information than the consciousness is capable of dealing with. This jutsu was developed so that the Yamanaka could access that information. Using their special techniques inwardly, the Yamanaka member is able to "travel" into their own memories, though their actual bodies are lifeless while this jutsu is in effect. Once in their memories, they are a separate entity from their original body that experienced the memory and thus they are able to move around and peer at things the original may have only glanced at. This new self is unable to interact with or alter the memory in any way, but the Yamanaka member is able to grasp details that they may have originally missed when living through these experiences. This can also help to remember things that have been forgotten, like where you put your keys.

Cupid Mouth Jutsu
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The jutsu causes a mental link to establish between the user and the target. The user may then speak the same words the target is speaking, so the user can know what conversation the target is having. The user must be able to at least see the target. If ever the target goes beyond the users visible sight the jutsu cancels out. The user cannot move while the jutsu is in effect. The Yamanaka member can use this jutsu according to their control stat: 1-3 allows for one post, 4-6 allows for 2 posts, 7-10 allows for three posts and 11+ allows for four posts.

The Mind Spy Technique
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
The Yamanaka is able to propel their mind out of their while staying linked to the physical body.The mind is limited to a 10 meter radius yet it can go upward, downward and in any other direction. The Yamanaka is invisible, mute and deaf to the world around him or her. They can also not use taijutsu or any jutsu for that matter while in this mode. As a note just as the Mind Body change technique this technique leaves the body comatose and defenseless. After the user has used this spying technique it takes a half post for the mind to return to the linked body.

~ Mind Fart Technique
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After the necessary handseals, the Yamanaka member will project their chakra at a target, a maximum of 14 feet. If the attack is successful, the target will lose all semblance of what they were doing or had planned to do. While it only halts their current thought process, it doesn't prevent future processes. Simply meaning, this jutsu is good to slow an enemy down, but it will only slow them for a moment.

~ Mind Body Change Technique
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
The Mind Body Change Technique was developed by the Yamanaka to aid in spying. The Yamanaka member forms the needed handseals and then projects their consciousness out of their body towards their intended target; either a person or an animal. The user's body falls lifeless while their consciousness is absent from the body. Unfortunately, the consciousness flies in a straight line at a speed of 2. If avoided, the consciousness will take an entire post to find its way back to the body, leaving it completely defenseless. When used in conjunction with a binding technique, the chance of success greatly increases. It should be mentioned that the mind of the inhabited remains in their rightful body, however, it is forced to watch as the Yamanaka controls their body's actions. If the inhabited has a higher mental fortitude (average of wit and control) than the Yamanaka, they can overpower the intruder and force them out of their body. Also while in the body of their target, the Yamanaka's body will be hurt in the exact same manner as the inhabited if any physical damage is dealt. The Yamanaka member can control a person in this way according to their control stat: 1-3 allows for one post, 4-6 allows for 2 posts, 7-10 allows for three posts and 11+ allows for four posts.

~ Communion of Mind with Mind Technique
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
A jutsu developed by the Yamanaka in order to communicate with an ally without fear of foes overhearing. This jutsu can only be used on one individual at a time. The Yamanaka performs the needed handseals and then must make eye contact with the intended target. Eye contact must be maintained as long as the two wish to communicate. The Yamanaka is capable of transferring their thoughts directly to the target's mind. The target is capable of broadcasting their thoughts to the Yamanaka, however, it does take a conscious effort to do so, meaning this jutsu is not feasible for use as a mind reading technique. The jutsu effectively allows the two to have a mental conversation. Something startling, such as an attack, can cause the link to be broken even if eye contact is maintained. For a non-Yamanaka, this jutsu can be a little unnerving the first time they experience someone's thoughts being poured into their mind.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: Mind Body Change
Description: When the user's mind touches the host's body after using mind body transfer it won't expel the target's mind out of their body as it would normally happen, instead of that the target won't even notice the presence of the user’s mind. However the difference is the user can only choose 2 senses to utilyze and this can be expelled in the same way as a mind body change technique however without wit higher than the caster of this jutsu a ninja would never notice a technique such as this. This is used as a spying technique.

Genjutsu

*[Mist Servant Technique]
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
The user will slowly lower themselves into a crouch while holding a handseal. Seeing this will cast a genjutsu upon any viewers. They will see the user continue to sink into the ground, they have this time span to assume a hiding spot, after they are “fully submerged in the ground”, the users true location will be visible to the victims again. At that point, several dark, oily shapes will emerge from the surrounding walls, trees, or whatever there is, and attack from different directions. These attacks cannot harm the viewer but may confuse them and make them feel disoriented. Meanwhile, the user of this Jutsu can attack; he or she will look like a simple black shape, gliding in and out of the ground or boulders, so he or she is relatively well hidden. If any of the servants are successfully attacked it will disrupt the genjutsu and lower the post count by 1. Attacking the user, despite his or her disguise, will end the Jutsu. This Jutsu will last for 3 posts otherwise.

Whisper Technique
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
The user performs the handseals, ending with the Ram seal and holding it. The user then makes a loud enough noise for the opponent to hear it either with their voice or with something in the surrounding area. If the victim hears this noise they are caught in the genjutsu. Then the user projects their voice as if they were some sort of other worldly presence this projects chakra towards the opponent, stimulating the part of the opponent’s brain that translates the messages sent from the eardrum into actual voices. What this can do is create a whispering voice in the opponent’s mind, with the user choosing what is being whispered into it. This techniques lasts for two posts.

*[Sly Mind Affect Technique]
C-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
This is a Genjutsu technique which causes the target to travel around in circles. The user of this technique will form the needed seals and then make a loud bang with something nearby. After the target hears the noise, this genjutsu takes effect. If the ninja is unable to detect the illusion very quickly, they can become exhausted mentally and physically when they are unable to reach their desired target by traveling along the same path over and over. This jutsu lasts for 7 posts, or until dispelled.

History

Life In a Nutshell

Yamanaka, Ryo. Born into a noble clan known as the yamanaka of the leaf, Ryo lived a very privileged childhood. Never did he need for a thing. In his family he was the youngest of five children, having four older sisters. His parents made sure his happiness was their main priority, seeing as that was their only son. His sisters took great care of their brother, and instilled a lot manners and structure into the young child's daily life. Ryo grew very comfortable with his lifestyle, he had everything he wanted, and he had it as soon as he wished for it.

As soon as he hit the age seven Ryo began to demonstrate an ability to use and control chakra. Things began to change drastically for him at this point. A lot of expectations were put on his shoulders as he was the only son in the family and we would need to continue the legacy as a ninja. The pressure was mounting. In order for his family to become a part of the upper echelon of the Yamanaka clan he would be in charge of increasing his family's fame and status in the village. His parents pressured him the most, creating tension in the household. Ryo's sisters however were very supportive of their brother, and they encouraged him frequently to do better in his classes.

The academy graduation ceremony went very well for Ryo as he finished 2nd in the class. His mother was greatly disappointed that he didn't finish first, but his sisters took great solace in the fact that although he didn't finish first, he finished second while being the first male other than his father from the family who entered the academy. Upon graduation he was assigned to a team. He was happy in his success but still harbored some bitter feeling towards his parents for their disappointment in his performance.

Ryo now 12, had grown very close to his team-mates and his sensei. His performance in missions had increased his family's status just as his parents had wanted. But now something new had blossomed inside of young Ryo, love. He had felt a particular closeness with a team-mate and she, in turn, felt the same way for him. The only problem was that she was not from his clan. So when he told his parents, they rejected her and her family. Tired of his parents, and their concern for their status, he did what he wanted anyways and for a time he was happy.

Naturally a rift opened between Ryo and his parents. He was 14 and they couldn't disown him without losing their status, but they didnft have to treat him good either. He was secretly banned from entering the main compound of his family's home and instead had to live in a smaller house on the edge of the property. Ryo didn't care; it just meant he didn't have to see his parents whom he didn't like nor trust. He left and came as he pleased and continued to work hard to increase his own status instead of his parents. After some time his father who although wanted the status to be increased loved his son, however after a mission Ryo had gotten a letter from his mother that his father had died. After attending the funeral for his father he found himself rummaging through some of his fathers belongings and found his Jounin jacket. He put it on, and hasn't taken it off since.

Heartbreak for sure was not something anyone should have to go through, but Ryo had to go through it in a worse way if there is such a thing. Routine missions don't always stay as such, and can become much more complicated than the Intel provided. The mission was a simple escort mission from the village hidden in the leaves to the capital of Fire Country. They were escorting two travelers who had some important cargo that needed protection. The cargo was not thought to be of much value so the mission was declared a c rank mission. Missing-Nin from the leaf village thought that whatever they were escorting must've been worth some money since a four man team was assigned. They plotted and attacked half-way through the journey. They weren't caught off-guard, just severely outnumbered and they paid dearly for it.

This small team was annihilated with sheer force, with Ryo trying to keep his team protected. He took a hard hit from a monster summoning and it broke his arms, rendering all of Ryo's techniques useless. Ryo collapsed, and began to lose consciousness just slow enough to watch as the rest of his friends, Niogi and Ryu and their sensei Makado came under attack as well.

Two weeks later Ryo arose in the leaf village with his arms heavily bandaged, and his sisters sleeping in various places around the room. They filled him in on the tragedy of the battle. Ryo was the only survivor, his sensei and team-mates were killed in battle shortly after he passed out. A deep depression took over Ryo for a long time he took off from being a ninja for close to a year. He had gone through a lot of internal pain and change. Missions didn't have the same meaning as before. His parents seeing that the middle-class situation was over removed the ban on Ryo although he never returned to that house. He moved out of the compound altogether, and moved to the other side of the village, very close to the opening gates. He went through extensive rehab to regain use of his legs and through the course of the treatments his personality changed. His sisters kept pushing him to return to duty shortly after his recovery and he returned to active duty shortly after.Openly he spends his time trying to enjoy himself at any cost, whether it comes during missions, battling, or adventurous dreams, and secretly he trains very hard in order to regain a certain measure of revenge against the missing-nin that killed his team.

That picture is from Osy, which we do not allow people to use his art. That's also the character's name... <o>

As a note, that app style is really annoying to read.

You need the length of the sword.

Kiri uses a two genin team for their genin team, not the Konoha standard of three genin and a jounin.

The Green mist jutsu require Fuuton, which means you can't use it.

I'll check the history later, but I think you'll probably have to edit, due to how Kiri does their teams.

^ please remove the word description. This needs a post limit, I doubt you can indefinitely hold the jutsu if the target stays still.

Silent Speech
please remove description again. Mind control at D-rank? This needs to go up to C-rank and it should also not be able to harm the target. You also change what hand seal your doing half way through. This needs a post limit.

Sasayaki no Jutsu (Whisper Technique)
This needs a post limit. Genjutsu also need things known as triggers. Examples of triggers are: Making eye contact, Having them see the hand seals, the user saying something that the target must hear.

How light are we talking with the hair, if it's like the picture then it's a no, seeing as Yamanaka have light coloured hair, if we're talking a cappuccino colour then that'd be fine.

Eyes need changing, Yamanaka have large light blue eyes mostly, which means small and brown is a no.

This seems incredibly powerful for a C-Rank, not only can you experience all 5 of the users senses but they can't detect it? Going off the senses used for Genjutsu I'd say this should only be able to effect a maximum of 2 senses and with the mind body change be able to expelled in the same way as Mind Body Change.

Mind Recall Technique
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
If the Mind Body change is not successful, the Yamanaka is able to return to his or her body using the link that is created between the mind and the body. The reintegration of the body is done within a half post instead of a full post after the technique fails.

I don't like this either, I don't understand how this "link" can shorten down the time it takes to return the conciousness to the body, when it travels for the jutsu initially, it moves at a certain speed, which imo it would move at in return. The whole 1 post thing is a drawback for a reason.

Your app is currently unreadable on two of the skins. Pick a different blue, please.

As I said before, this app format is REALLY REALLY bad. Like, try actually looking at it and opening the spoilers. It's hard to read and keep track of anything. Like, the jutsu get so squished that it's hard to read them at all.

Cupid Mouth, if it's a blanket mind reading tech would be ~B rank, iirc.

The mind spy technique can remove the part about the B ranked version, since you'd just put that in the B ranked version. Additionally, as Ino has shown, they do need some physical 'thing' there. If you're removing the buffer, you should have a much greater drawback.

Guest Mind needs to be nerfed a bit. +3 just on a C rank? No. Just do higher.

Whisper needs a time limit.

The Yamanaka clan is one of the smaller clans of Konoha. o_o

I can't finish reading the history, though, because of how badly formatted the app is. D:

Alright Oreo, done. In terms of the Cupid mouth jutsu it's not mind reading exactly. The only thing I know is what they are saying it's essentially allowing me to lip read without actually looking at their mouth but they HAVE to be in visual range and as I said I ONLY know what they are speaking, not thinking.

Firefox doesn't auto-resize images, like Chrome does. Using firefox, it stretches on BoHeGaHa.
