By combining [color=#fe0]Raiton[/color] and [color=orangered]Katon[/color] into a singular elemental chakra, the Awai clan has the unique ability to produce the [color=gold]Hiton[/color] element.

The doujutsu of the Awai clan, this eye allows them to see through the refractions of light and changes in it. This means that blinding them with Flash Tags and other light-based blinding techniques are ineffective. In addition, the Awai can see in almost complete darkness and have resistance to visual genjutsu. The effectiveness of the genjutsu resistance depends on the user’s ninjutsu stat.

The [color=gold]Kussetsugan[/color] is Constantly Active and as such is a small, constant drain on chakra. [b]Because of this, all Awai have -1 Stamina, permanently.[/b]

E-Ranked Ninjutsu
After making a single hand seal, the user of this ability is able to essentially 'solidify' a ball of light in their hands, which takes the color of their personal light. It is roughly the size of a fist or a soft ball and radiates softly, providing roughly the same amount of light as a small desk lamp, but unidirectional. It follows the user's palm and essentially sticks an inch off it. If the user closes their palm, it disappears. It produces no heat and lasts for 3 posts.

D-Ranked Jutsu

The user makes a very short string of hand seals and then focuses, causing a bright light to 'explode' from their body. It is roughly the equal of two Flash Tags and though the flash only lasts a brief few moments, the vision of any afflicted by it is dampened and blurry for 1 post.

Performing hand seals and then holding out their hand, the user produces a softball sized ball of light that is the same color as their personal light in the palm of their hand. Much like the Small Sun technique, this ball gives off a constant glow like that of four candles; however, this technique is actually solid and produces heat. It can be thrown or used in melee combat. When it hits something, it acts like a gas in a sense and spreads out over the impacted area, causing first degree burns and small impact damage, then fading away. Otherwise it lasts 3 posts.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After grabbing a weapon or small object and flowing Hiton chakra into it, the user causes the object to glow with their personal chakra color and essentially turns the weapon or object into a flash tag. The light generated by the object is essentially as strong as three candles and the infusion lasts for 2 posts. The 'infusion' does not make the object more durable in any way. During those 2 posts, the user can also release the Hiton chakra stored inside once and cause it to let out a large burst of light equal to that of one flash tag, which blinds any within a 5 foot radius of the object for 1 post. If the user does not release the hiton manually by the end of the two posts, the object will automatically flash.

D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Performing a small series of hand seals, the user creates solid hiton around one or both hands and makes, essentially, a small square of solid light around the hand. The square of light is only a few inches wider and longer than the user's hand is, up to a max of one foot tall and eight inches wide. When hit, it is roughly as solid as a block of wood. It can be used to partially block weak physical attacks and projectile weapons, or be used as a weapon as it produces scalding heat as well, causing just under first degree burns. It also, like all Hiton techniques, is colored like the user's personal light and it produces light equivalent of one candle per shield. Lasts 4 posts before fading or until the user releases the jutsu.

D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user concentrates hiton chakra into the form of a clone. This clone looks identical to the user in every way. The clone can go up to a one hundred feet away from the user. These clones are incapable of performing ninjutsu or genjutsu. Once destroyed by a weak attack, the clone dispels into shimmering, faint light.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user performs a few hand seals and then puts both hands out forward, creating a temporary barrier that spreads out from the palms and makes a thin, full length screen that is a few inches wider and taller than the user's body, though it stops on any surface it encounters as to not cut into it. This jutsu lasts 3 posts before it fades.

Performing the hand seals for the technique, the user then puts both hands out forward and from both palms a basketball sized beam of light colored the same as the user's personal light shoots forward. The ball moves in a straight line to a maximum distance of 30 feet at a maximum speed of 6. The light is semi-solid, hitting hard but as it hits it breaks up like gas against the object when it hits, spreading out over the person and leaving first degree burns over the area.

After forming the hand seals and focusing chakra into one hand, an Awai is capable of solidifying and shaping their personal chakra into a rudimentary blade shape. The sword is steel strong and can range from one foot long to two foot long, or wakizashi length, to katana length. It also has charring heat stored inside the light which can cause scalding or searing, but doesn't even provide first degree burns. The blade also provides three candlelight worth of light and has a cutting edge. Lasts for 3 posts.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Performing the hand seals, the user then puts one hand up and is able to create a brightly shining disc of condensed light that is the same color as their personal light. The disk is extremely thin, maybe half a centimeter, and one foot in diameter, glowing with half the intensity of a flash tag, making it hard to look directly at unless wearing some sort of eye protection. The user can throw the disc for (control x 2) meters and it hits, cutting into the object. The blade is sharp and slices into things well, though it can still be stopped by normal resistances and it's edge can only penetrate stone minorly. In addition, when it hits an object it also explodes like most other Hiton techniques, with the force of 1/4th an Exploding Tag.

Prerequisites: At least +2 above average control
Focusing chakra into their body, the user performs hand seals and then manipulates the way light refracts around their bodies, allowing them to make themselves visually invisible. They still have a chakra signature, must breathe and still make noise, but they are completely invisible to the naked eye. The user must hold the last seal or the technique fades, so they may only walk while invisible. This lasts for 3 posts.

Performing hand seals, the user creates 2 small hawks made of their personal light anywhere within a 1 meter radius of their body. These hawks are large, roughly the size of an adult hawk and when created, fly at any designated target within 10 meters of the user. If the target moves out of the range, the hawks will hover until the target is again within range. When they hit the target they implode on themselves with the force of one exploding tag. In addition, they also produces a blinding flash of light equal to one flash tag. If the hawks do not reach a target, they otherwise last five posts before fading in a burst of shimmering light. B-Ranked Ninjutsu
Performing the hand seals and then opening both eyes wide, the user of this technique essentially 'sucks in' some of the light in the immediate area into their eyes, temporarily darkening the area around them, and then releases it from both eyes charged with chakra. Two beams of light shoot from both eyes at a target up to 35 feet away, starting at the size of a pupil but expanding as they travel to by up to as large as a fist. The beams move at a maximum speed of 7. Both beams are naturally as bright as a flash tag each and when the beams hit, they also explode with the force of 2 exploding tags each.

An advancement on Bright Screen Technique, the user first performs the hand seals and then puts both hands together, flooding the area with Hiton chakra of their personal color. The dome extends two feet above the user's own height and forms a perfect oval-dome shape, extending out in a diameter of 5 feet around the user. The dome is thick and sturdy, though [color=dodgerblue]Suiton[/color] jutsu will destroy it much faster than most other hits. If the dome takes no damage, it lasts five posts before fading.

Focusing chakra after performing several seals, the user creates a large ball of compressed light in their hand that is roughly twice the size of a human head and holds it in their palm. From there they can throw it or use it in a number of ways. The user is able to throw the ball (control x 2) meters. The ball is solid and is very hot, enough to cause third degree burns with some contact and when it hits an object, it explodes with both the force of two exploding tags as well as two flash tags, meaning it causes an extremely violent and very blinding flash when the solid light is 'ruptured'. It lasts for 2 posts if unused.

A-Rank Jutsu

A-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user performs several hand seals and coats their hands in Hiton chakra that is the same color as their personal light. The coating creates a bright glow around the user's hand that makes them somewhat hard to look at since each fists glows with the intensity of 2.5 flash tags. Third degree burns can happen from prolonged contact but even grazing punches can open up second degree burns on the opponent. The coating lasts for 5 posts and provides a very limited amount of defense, roughly comparable to stiff leather gloves.

A-Ranked Ninjutsu
The user performs a series of hand seals and then places their hands before themselves in a triangular formation (Tips of the index fingers and thumbs touching). In doing so the concentrate a triangular shape of light that is then launched with a maximum speed of 7 towards a target. Upon impact the target's skin is afflicted with burns more severe than third degree, to the point where a constant exposure could strip the meat from one's bones. The beam ranges effectively up to twenty feet in length, although at twenty-five feet it only causes third degree burns, at thirty only second, at thirty-five only first, and at forty it is just enough to slightly blister the skin. It can also last up to two posts.
