There are 5 Elements, in addition there are diffrent variations to combine elements to create new jutsu but rather they are bloodlines. Katon- Fire Element Suiton- Water Element Raiton- Lightning Element Doton- Earth Element Fuuton- Wind Element These are the 5 Different elemental variations. This is a very notable and strict feature of NL. To learn certain jutsu, you must know the element. Once you pick the element you want to learn then it can not be changed anymore unless you did not get any jutsu for that element, or the Administrators say you can. Genin = No Element- you start with no elements Chuunin = 1 Elements Jounin = 2 Elements Sannin = 3 Elements Kage = 4 Elements Elemental Combinations: Guide to the Chakra Elements: === The Natures are Lightning, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. Each of them brings something to the table, whether it's burning, healing, or ultimately destroying. Every person has their own, unique chakra nature. Not so much unique, but it's there and for them. Some, such as Jounin have two chakra types, while those of the Sannin have three. However, for Genin and Chuunin, there is only one they can figure out. Even then, mastering it to the Jutsu they know can take ages. Even a full Jounin has obtained a minimum of three years to actually get the chakra nature into the technique, and sometimes it isn't even perfect. Whenever they send their chakra nature into a weapon or jutsu, it's normally "released" through their tenketsu, or "chakra points." (However, it is unknown if chakra natures can currently be added to Taijutsu or Genjutsu). As it is released, the proper handseals must be done. Each element has its own, and those of the combination types need two hand seals. Chakra Nature Releases: === + Raiton no Jutsu // Raiton no Houmen. ;; Lightning Technique // Lightning Release. + Katon no Jutsu // Katon no Houmen ;; Fire Technique // Fire Release. + Suiton no Jutsu // Suiton no Houmen ;; Water Technique // Water Release. + Fuuton no Jutsu // Fuuton no Houmen ;; Wind Technique // Wind Release. + Doton no Jutsu // Doton no Houmen ;; Earth Technique // Earth Release. Of course, these are just the terms to bring out your nature. Before this, you must have a piece of chakra paper to determine your element. By focusing your own chakra into the paper - it will either: burn for fire, dampen for water, split in two for air, turn to dirt for earth, or crinkle up for lightning. A Jounin ranked Shinobi should have at least some ready for their Genin, or any Genin that wants to know. Adding the Elements: === 1) This can be quite confusing. Once you have found the element, think of a technique to add it to. The demo technique will be the Rasengan. 2) (Since there are a multitude of ways to utilize the elements, we'll use Fuuton.) There are three steps to begin the Element Combination. --- 2a) The first step in wind training is placing a leaf between ones palms and then cutting it in half with only ones chakra. To manipulate ones chakra it helps if the ninja imagines their chakra splitting into two and then grinding back across themselves. This allows the two chakra fields to essentially sharpen the other into a very thin and sharp cutting edge. --- 2b) The second step involves cutting running water with all the Wind chakra the ninja can manage. With this the ninja has to create and produce massive amounts of elemental chakra nearly instantaneously, just as they would in an actual jutsu. To successfully cut the water, the ninja must ensure their Wind chakra remains in the body long enough after molding it. --- 2c) The final step in Wind training is to spatially recompose your newly created elemental chakra. This allows the ninja to determine the strength and scope of their attack. The normal Rasengan itself is pure spatial recomposition of chakra. To combine the two is not easy, as the number of ninja who can do both simultaneously is limited. To do so requires a natural innate talent. It helps to have Shadow Clones, allowing for proper chakra distribution. Create the Rasengan, and use a clone to send the wind element's chakra into the Rasengan. 3) After that, it should be fairly simple. Each Element has it's own steps, but since Fuuton was already on Leafninja.com, it's fairly simple. Eventually, there will be steps for the other elements. Obviously, the first step is using a leaf, and imagining the way the element is. (Such as Fire burning it.) Types: === + Fire (Katon): The ability to create/manipulate "fire" through chakra. + Water (Suiton): The ability to create/manipulate "water" through chakra. + Lightning (Raiton): The ability to create/manipulate "lightning" through chakra. + Earth (Doton): The ability to create/manipulate "earth" through chakra. + Air (Fuuton): The ability to create/manipulate "wind" through chakra. Details: === + Fire (Katon): Burns anything, useful for warmth, incinerates opponent's chakra. + Water (Suiton): One of the healing elements, but has destructive nature. Can temporarily increase or decrease chakra flow. + Lightning (Raiton): A piercing element, deals with strikes or lunges. Can stun or paralyze the opponent's chakra. + Earth (Doton): A bashing-smashing element. Can block some of the chakra passages, or make it harder to utilize chakra. (Much like the Five Element Seal) + Air (Fuuton): A slicing and dicing element. Can sever chakra coils, and poison the system.* *All elements can poison, but Fuuton works the best. Chakra Combinations: === Water (Suiton) Combinations: + Water (Suiton) and Earth (Doton) creates the "Wood" Element. + Water (Suiton) and Air (Fuuton) creates the "Ice" Element. + Water (Suiton) and Fire (Katon) creates the "Steam" Element. + Water (Suiton) and Lightning (Raiton) creates the "Light" Element. Fire (Katon) Combinations: + Fire (Katon) and Earth (Doton) creates the "Lava" Element. + Fire (Katon) and Water (Suiton) creates the "Steam" Element. + Fire (Katon) and Lightning (Raiton) creates the "Plasma" Element. + Fire (Katon) and Air (Fuuton) creates the "Shadow" Element. Air (Fuuton) Combinations: + Air (Fuuton) and Fire (Katon) creates the "Shadow" Element. + Air (Fuuton) and Earth (Doton) creates the "Sand" Element. + Air (Fuuton) and Water (Suiton) creates the "Ice" Element. + Air (Fuuton) and Lightning (Raiton) creates the "Gravity" Element. Earth (Doton) Combinations: + Earth (Doton) and Air (Fuuton) creates the "Sand" Element. + Earth (Doton) and Fire (Katon) creates the "Lava" Element. + Earth (Doton) and Lightning (Raiton) creates the "Metal" Element. + Earth (Doton) and Water (Suiton) creates the "Wood" Element. Lightning (Suiton) Combinations: + Lightning (Raiton) and Earth (Doton) creates the "Metal" Element. + Lightning (Raiton) and Air (Fuuton) creates the "Gravity" Element. + Lightning (Raiton) and Water (Suiton) creates the "Light" Element. + Lightning (Raiton) and Fire (Katon) creates the "Plasma" Element.
