BAMA R. Johnson - Missed tackle. Solid tackle. Broke up pass by sideline...good range. A. Smith - sloppy game. Wasn't locking onto defenders cleanly. Gave up pressures after guys had tried to go by him, then cut back to the inside. AUB Marks - Quick off the ball. Had a TFL when he got into the backfield and got the RB. Disrupted another running play with penetration. Thin build for a DT. No butt. Got easily moved off the ball on short TD run. Coleman - Used a spin move to get by Smith and flush the QB. Looked much better at RDE than LDE. T. Green - Great block on Cody. Drove him off the ball. |

Nate Davis - * Responded to adversity with good drive. That ended in disaster. Responded to that with short drive. * Good pocket presence. Calm, but not Andre Woodson. Can elude defenders. * Very accurate. * Coached by Stan Parrish. * off target deep ball in 4th Qtr. Bad angle, too flat. * Threw behind receiver on crossing route on 3rd down. * Had ball stripped on 4th/1 sneak. * 4 fumbles. |

MiZZ thoughts... * Maclin's speed showed on runs and PRs. Had TD. * Chase Daniel - 3 INTs. Not in the flow of the game. Ran well. * Coffman - most catches by TE ever. Made clutch catch on final drive to move the chains. * Weatherspoon - Looked great. Broke up early pass by being in great position. Looks natural in coverage. Fast and quick. Can hit. Has some real pop. * Moore - beaten on TD pass. Looked like he stumbled. Had a sack in OT. Had a FF taken away by penalty. Knocked down pass in OT to seal win. Ankle, rib injuries this year. * Sulak - good game. Basically just running around OTs. * Bacher - accurate. |

Pitt # 80 Derek Kinder – WR – Coming off ACL injury. # 55 C.J. Davis – LG – Pulls well. Plays under control. Chooses targets well. Effective on LBs. Engages defenders when on the move and really sticks with his blocks. Has thick thighs. # 30 Conredge Collins – FB – Solid lead blocker on iso plays. Lacks ideal pop, but hits his targets solidly. Makes sure to block someone. Not a watcher. # 34 LaRod Stephens-Howling – RB – Backup. # 25 LeSean McCoy – RB – Only a R-Soph. Great year in 2007. Set several Pitt rushing records for Freshmen. Reminds me a lot of Charlie Garner. ____________________________________________________ # 40 Scott McKillop – MLB – Led nation in tackles. Around the ball a lot. Good instincts. Okay speed. Some COD ability. Will take some false steps. Likes to attack up the field. Occasionally will get burned by taking chances. Not always quick or fast enough to shoot gaps and make plays. There are times when he’ll be aggressive and take himself out of the play entirely. # 50 Rashaad Duncan – NT – One-gap DT. Will take on double teams, but lacks the strength and bulk to handle them well. Best bet is to split the blockers. Lacks quick burst off the ball. # 8 Adam Gunn – SLB – # 28 Eric Thatcher – FS – Size? Physical, forceful tackler. |

UConn Lorenzen - pushes the ball. Weird delivery. Beatty - Uses hands/feet well. Mirrors the DE. Picked up CB blitz. Doesn't have great feet. Good run blocker on the 2nd level. Stays aware and active. Finds someone to block. RDE Cody Brown - FF on pass rush. Has some quickness. Will stand up at times. D. Butler - Good tackler, vs RBs and WRs. Upright in his backpedal. Looking to break on ball. Supposedly a good athlete. Will go up for the ball. Generally plays the wide side. ------------ WFU Curry - Can hit. Has some coverage ability. Smith - Good blitzer. From Florida. Player of year in HS. Speed? Aggressive. Quick break on the ball. Can press. Has good feet. * Caught a pass in bowl game. Another one. Elusive with ball. |

OSU #2 Jenkins - Can press. Excellent feet. Very quick break on the ball. Okay tackler. Had a lot of tackles vs ILL. Solid blitzer. # 1 M Freeman - Stout vs run. Will take on blockers. Played on STs. Likes to attack upfield. Solid between the tackles. #33 Larry Nitis - # 17 Boeckman - Can run, but limited athlete. Mechx sound. Motion could be faster. Will throw into tight windows over the middle. Arm? # 28 C. Wells - JR - Runs behind his pads. Will hit the hole even when there isn't much of a running lane. Athletic enough to make quick cuts and guys miss when he does have some space to work with. Good burst. Pass blocking needs work. Breaks tackles even when guys have clean shots on him. # 75 Boone - Doesn't really have LT feet. Can be a good run blocker. Able to move guys when he gets low and stays behind his pads. # 71 Rehring - LG. Lacks push. # 63 B person - # 80 Robiskie - Looks technically sound, but burst out of cuts? Has good feet. Runs good routes. _____________________________________ UM # 90 Jamison - Lacks burst, but plays with good leverage. Physical player. Ran over blocking back to pressure QB vs UM. Really hustles in pursuit. # 67 Taylor - NT. Good when he plays with leverage. # 97 W Johnson - Good effort on run plays. # 14 Trent - Speed, agility? Good hitter. |

NW Bacher - Accurate on short throws. Good feet. Okay mechx. Simply lacks top physical ability (arm, athleticism). Sutton - Peterman - Short receiver. Somewhat elusive. Gill - Can be disruptive. Has some quickness. Gets stuck on blocks. _________________________ MSU Kershaw - Can be very quick off the ball. Wiley - LTP. Clark 38 - Hoyer - Good on wide swing pass. Can make some beautiful throws. Can throw on the move. Has good vision. Able to improvise. Not afraid to put the ball in a tight window. Some spread, some under C, conventional stuff. Throws tight spirals. Miller - RT. Good size. Doesn't lock onto targets. Ringer - Good cutback runner. Will hit the hole, but lacks pop. Not a power runner. Has pretty good speed. |
