Just so you guys are aware, we have started our update. So far we have entered all of the contracts that were signed by the FA's last July. Next we will be signing staff.

After we sign the staff and finish with the July FA's we will open the game to the public to let you guys come in and get your practice schemes in order.

So far there hasn't been any hiccups, the Blues are wayyy over the cap, but w/ trades and such this should work itself out...all is good in EHM world.

Game should be up Friday & Saturday for Draft Prep...as we will still be drafting on sunday.

don't touch the waiver wire, if you got him last season then you'll get him this season

Drew I did some things you/I missed:

Waived Dagenais and put in a claim with Penguins
Kevin Weekes trade to Boston
Meszaros for Comeau

....and now for update #2.

First thing, after talking with Jason and Wil we have decided that each GM is responsible for resigning his own players. You are allowed to begin your resigns ASAP to allow for maximum chances for a resign. If you don't think you will be able to get in game, make sure you let someone know so they can make some offers for you.

Second...you are not allowed to make any offers on new FA or Staff until after January 1st. This gives the rebuild crew enough time to make sure the rosters are correct.

Also I notice a lot of teams have 25+ players signed, if possible try to only waive guys that were waived last year. There are to be NO waiver claims made right now, we still have old file, so we know who was waived.

We are sending and email, posting in game and on boards...so if you don't resign your guys and they all go to FA, it is on you. The rebuild team can only do so much, we need everyon to be as active as possible over next week to make sure their teams stay strong.

Drew,

Just a heads up on something (that you've probably already noticed, but just in case...)

I notice that trades made after the season have gone through. For example, I have Curtis Brown on my roster even though that trade was made just prior to the draft. This means that I've now had to waive Linden to make room for him. It's not really a massive problem for me, but I wonder if similar situations will cause cap / roster size issues to be problematic for a few guys.

Good work though, totally appreciate everything that you guys are doing to get this show back on the road.

yes it has been an issue with one or two other teams (guys who brought in salary, cause they had some going off books in July) but since waiver claims can't be made right now so AGM scrweups won't kill a team...it will all work itself out when these players walk in July and everyone will be back under the cap.

So why are we now responsible for resigning our own guys? What if they dont resign by the end of the season ( for the same contract or at all ). Like eric said resigning can depend on how the team is performing or how that player is performing. I hope your prepared for that.

Then you sign em to whatever you can?

It seems like you are trying to make this hard on people who are doing A LOT of work so that we can still play the game...

You can either be a little baby about things and complain while you do nothing to help or you can enjoy a game...and stop being a suck and trying to caus problems, everyone is in the same boat here (we all have contracts to extend)...it's not going to be perfect, but its better than no game at all?

All you had to say was the last part of your comment. Who's the baby? It was a problem that was brought up before and you said you would deal with it, if that wasnt possible then just say so.

Dont worry guys me and Drew have kissed and made up lol.

There's a ton of work being done jeff, and almost everybody is disagreeing on everything every step of the way.

Criticism without solutions right now does us no good, if anybody has a concern, please do bring it to our attention, try not to come with ultimatums or dire consequences if we don't agree with your idea.( second part not directly directed at you jeff:P). We're not going to be able to get everything 100% the way it was. It's impossible when every gm does things differently. Ideas/solutions are always welcome.
