To me if we dont do Option C - we mind as well start completely over again. In my case, if we do any other option, I will only have 2 players that were on my roster when I took over the team (EJ and Gabby). Starting completely over puts everyone on the same plate - everyone loses the same. Actually, any other option makes it good for some and not for others.

What option we choose isnt my biggest concern TBH. It is more about stability. Many of you know that I delayed joining this league for ages after HU and SS2 went down. My main reasons for this was because so much time was spent on previous teams only to see it wiped away (SS1, SS2, ASSHL) and I'm sure some of you have lost more teams from other leagues. Were no lessons learned after we lost SS1 bc of a computer crash??? It is just frustrating that NB didnt learn from these past mistakes (ie. not having an up-to-date backup file), especially because a lot of the GM's involved in making NB happened were around for those experiences. Was it the case of...it happened to them it wont happen to us? I simply just dont get it. ---(I have cut out the rest of this because I dont think it is helpful to anyone)---

I apologise if I am sounding harsh but I needed to make sure my thoughts were known. I will stick with it with whatever option is chosen.

The more I think about it, the more I think C might work.

Solution for those who want to stay up to date with training, we can sim one month per day. let people go in and do their training changes.

Its win-win

You can't retrain a player though. If we go with option C, Kessel's not going to be good enough in 08-09 to use him in the role I have been developing him to play. In 09-10 he will be, but option C forces me to have to make a move to fill the role I already developed Kessel to play.

Option C screws over people who have strict, effective training programs, whereas options A and B don't screw over anyone at all.
So me losing the guys I picked up during the season doesn't screw me?

How complex can your training be? I do just fine and mine is dirt simple, if it's a matter of keeping guys from getting tired during the resim I will personally oversee every player in the league doesn't get too tired if it comes down to it.

What about the guys losing player transactions? You can retrain a player, but you wont be able to redo the deals that you made unless the other party agrees. As for me, I'm not trading for Brindamour or Blake again cause I didn't win with them before (if we do A or B).

Option A and B can screw over people, and I'm one of them, so while there are arguments for both cases don't try and act like it's the perfect option.

Edit: Not sure if you guys have a chat or anything going, and if I was invited or not, but I'm posting from work so that's why I'm not talking in chat, in case there is one going! :D

I'm glad you cut a lot out because it had nothing to do with arrogance and more to do with ignorance. That thought honestly never crossed my mind. Nobody ever suggested that idea, yourself included.

No, losing the guys you picked up during the season doesn't screw you. You won the Cup.

As for the training thing, why not just let us do it? Why sim the whole thing in a day or two and screw us over? Why not go a little slower and let us do it ourselves?

My apologies, I never mentioned it because I thought it was being done. As soon as this happened, although it might of been obvious I posted it. I've been double backing up DM since I took over hosting. I think Rahim was backing it up before that.

Guys, I am not trying to mix the bag up further, but something else we didn't think about for any option is scouting. We will all go in and have to hope we know what we are drafting. Just another component to this whole deal. Of course, Riz is still going to look at this, so there is still the chance that all this talk is for not.

Whatever we decide lets please not rush into this. Give this Riz guy the weekend. I was looking as forward to the draft as anyone but come on we gotta give every shot to save this game as it is first. Were not all gonna be happy ( i hate idea C lol ) but whatever. I think Sunday is unrealistic for the draft.

I agree. Considering he designed the game - you would hope he would have an idea on how to fix it. :P
