It was twilight in the Sidhaic Librarium. It was always twilight in the Sidhaic Librarium. The moon might have been an illusion, but it was real enough for the Rabbit, and real enough for her. Candrani lay on a balcony, near the top of the above-ground portion of the Librarium, bathed in the sickly yellow light of the eternal moon. She'd been there for three hours, and was almost fully regenerated. Her face was nearly whole, although her right cheek wasn't quite affixed to the bone properly, and her left foot was still stitching itself back into existence from naught but moonbeams. "why did you make a scene in vyrnell like that?" WHY NOT? Candrani didn't have anything to say to that. No reason she could think of would satisfy the Rabbit. "i want to explore the labyrinth." A deep, grating laugh echoed in her mind. DO YOU THINK YOU'LL FIND DEATH THERE, LOVE? "you know the answer to that." Now, anyone observing this exchange would probably think Candrani to be quite mad -- be there no doubt, she was quite mad, but not in this way -- because she was speaking to apparently no-one. The question, then, became whether or not there was anyone observing. Edited by Candrani, Oct 5 2009, 08:49 PM.

There was a certain level of grace and elegance that this place had. Gale could feel it, right down to his bones. This place was somewhere he wanted to be. It wasn't just the vast knowledge hidden away here, there was a feeling of dread that seemed to be associated here. He walked slowly forward, using his scythe as a walking stick as he did so. He let his snake eyes take in the world around him as he moved, making sure to enjoy every detail of it. Behind him walked the dead. Three bodies of what Gale could assume where once noble heroes now followed his every command like loyal dogs begging for the love of their master. To Gale, this was appropriate. Heroes who may have once been loved, had families, and were the greatest of the great reduced to nothing more then his puppets on strings he controlled. This form of absolute supremacy was exactly what Gale was born and given right to. He was the master of all things, and even if you didn't realize it yet you soon would. After all, everything dies. Gale made his way to the girl now. He didn't expect to see another living creature, if that was what you would call her. He said not a word as he came closer, unsure if she was intelligent or simply another beast to be rid of. He dead heroes moved with their blades closer to the back of Gale as he attempted to make eye contact. |

WE HAVE COMPANY, MY DEAR, the Rabbit's voice echoed in her head as Gale stepped into the moonlit area of the balcony. YOU SHOULD GREET THEM PROPERLY. "must i?" Candrani got her answer when the Rabbit hauled her to her feet -- foot, rather, as she was still missing part of one -- and off the floor. As she dangled in the air like a life-sized marionette, she found herself looking at four men; It took her a moment to realise that three of them were zombies, like her. The fourth, who seemed like their leader, was holding a scythe. It didn't occur to her to make eye contact with any of them; her attention was much more occupied by her reflection on the side of the scythe. Before her eyes, she saw her cheek settle back into its proper form, and it disgusted her. She looked away. "who are you?" |
