Everyone has a profile, and there are quite a few settings that you can edit in it.

So first, to find your profile the easiest way is to click on your name up on the top right hand corner of the screen. It says 'Welcome' and then your name, followed by the log out button. So click on your username. When that has loaded, hover your pointer over the 'Profile Options' - a drop down list will appear. Click on 'Edit Profile'.

Now you will see a screen that has a box called 'Board Options', next to that a box called 'Profile Options', and below that is your basic profile. Fill in as much or as little as you want, and click 'Save Profile Changes'.

A brief explanation of the options:
Board settings: this is things like time zone, theme, language.
Email settings: you can choose to allow other members to email you, and if you want to get emailed board announcements here.
Change password: here is where you change your password. *It shows you how secure your password is here, also*
Change username: at the moment, members can request username changes. Here is where you request it (an Admin has to approve it)
Change email address: change the email any emails and board announcements get emailed to.
Advanced security settings: you can add things like a security question here.
Update profile: this takes you back to the first screen you saw after clicking 'Edit Profile' all the way back there.
Change signature: at the end of each post, you have a signature. This is where you can change it.
Change avatar: your avatar is the image next to each post. You can upload one here, use a link to an image or use one from the avatar library.
Change photo: you can also upload or link to a photo if you wish. Remember to abide by the photo rules if you choose to do this.
My blog: you can start your own blog if you want. This link takes you to it's settings.
Joinable groups: there is currently only one group that members may join. As we add them, this is where you will be able to join them. These groups do not change what parts of the forum you can and can not see, nor do they give you extra powers in the forum.

Any questions, please post them :)

I believe that we can associate permissions with groups. So if we wanted to, we could make it that only the members of the Recovery group could see the Recovery section.

At the moment, it is more of an identifying thing. On every post you make, there are a few of your profile details, including the group you belong to. I think that someone who puts themself in the recovery group would have that under their name. On some forums, members of certain groups have their names coloured differently to the regular members - I had a short look around to see if that can be done on Zetaboards, but I have not been able to change it yet.
