Dark Knight of Vanda Posts: 23 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Dec 23, 2008	In Monstro Town, in the Mushroom World, Mario exited a door carrying a gem in his gloved hand. The door vanished behind him leaving no trace that there had ever been a door there. He had just fought what had probably been the toughest fight of his life. A being from another world had entered the Mushroom World and was ready to leave, but first, he wanted to fight the strongest warrior from the Mushroom World. Mario had agreed to fight him. As soon as the fight began, the being shouted out, "I am matter..." "I am antimatter" "I can see your past..." "I can see your future..." "I consume time..." "And I will consume you!" After that, four Crystals had fallen into the battle and began attacking along with the being. It was a long fight, and Mario and his allies Mallow, a cloud prince, Geno, a Star Warrior sent from above to repair the Star Road, Princess Peach Toadstool, the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, and King Bowser Koopa, leader of the Koopa Troop and constant causer of trouble to the Mushroom Kingdom, were fading fast towards the end. If not for a few good items and weapons, they might not have won, yet they still did in the end. The being, who had revealed his name to be Culex, was a Dark Knight from another dimension called Vanda, had left after giving Mario a token of respect, the Quartz Charm, and had returned to Vanda. He had also visited two other worlds as well and had reported it all to his master in Vanda, Regix Narius, the Dark Mage and the ruler of the world in that dimension. Culex arrived at the Vandian Castle and returned the Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth Crystals of Vanda to Regix in the throne room. Regix then commanded Culex to return to the Mushroom World for one more task. He was ordered to steal the Star Rod from Star Haven. Now, time in Vanda works differently than in any of the other worlds that Culex had visited. At times, it moves faster, other times it moves slower. When Culex returned to the Mushroom World, months had passed and the Star Rod had already been stolen and returned once, shortly after he had left the world. When Culex arrived in Star Haven, the Star Spirits were no match for his magic. He neutralized their power and quickly departed with the Star Rod. Back in Vanda, his master was waiting. "Good, you've brought me the Star Rod. Perfect," Regix had said. "M'lord, is there anything else you wish me to retrieve for you? Perhaps something from the World where the Heartless thrive?" Culex had asked his master. "No. This is all I shall need." "What exactly are you planning on doing with this Star Rod and our Elemental Crystals." "Watch now and I shall show you." Regix placed the Star Rod in the center of the eight Crystals, both light and dark. The Crystals began to circle the Star Rod, spinning round it faster and faster. Back in the Mushroom World, portals began appearing in various locations all over the planet. The same happened in the other worlds Culex had visited and plundered for Regix Narius. The Crystals continued spinning, then flew into Regix's body, phasing into his purple skin and empowering him. As this happened one of the portals appeared in the throne room. "What does this portal do, sire?" Culex asked. "There are portals just like this one all over the worlds you have visited. They will link the worlds together, but unknown to the people in those worlds, the portals are destroying all of their realities. And as the worlds are destroyed, I grow in power. And this portal in the room allows us access to the worlds but will not destroy ours," his master had explained. No, I didn't want this to happen. This is wrong, the people of those worlds do not deserve to just die, they all have noble warriors, Culex had thought. "Sire, might I venture into the portal to scout it out for you?" Culex asked Regix. "Hmmm... Very well, go. Be sure to return with any other items of power that could be of use to me." Culex, like all other Vandians, was able to assume a human-ish form, so in order to not draw attention, he changed into that. His human form wore dark violet colored armor that covered his body. An eye-shield from his helmet covered his eyes. In his hands he carried a sword made of crystal that could cut the strongest of metal. And so, Culex entered the portal, unsure whether to side with his power-hungry ruler or to warn and rally warriors from the worlds to fight for their worlds.
