Sometimes I draw; Sometimes I don't

But this isn't exactly drawing:

And a larger version, because the only way to *really* enjoy sprites is when they're blocky. Or maybe that's just me.

and just for fun, the original version of the girl on the left:

Now *that's* a large head.

My normal less pixelly work can be found on http://akafa.deviantart.com/ Though I hope that link was redundant.

So, I kind of really like Rayman Origins.

Also, here is an earlier attempt with Betilla's thicker sister Edith Up (Gourmet Fairy), so we may all wonder what might have been.
The dialogue was gonna be:
Edith Up: "Maybe you shouldn't eat so much."
Betilla: "Maybe you shouldn't cook so much."

Sprites are good, and the art is nice, coloring is very strong in how you set up lighting but toning down on the amount of shades would help

Thank you for the compliments. :) With toning down the amount of shades, do you mean the shades end up being too dark at some spots?

Well your shading isn't bad, you just have too many bold colors, try blurring or cutting gown on how many you use to give depth

Ah, right, I'll try and be some more subtle with my colours next time around.
Note that the following is not me using less shades. That's just a character design with a bad pose that only has to get the design idea across.

on my scrap on DA I placed way too much background info. Here I'll just say I tried to make her look tall and skinny and I'm pretty certain the photo reference I used for the body was borderline anorexic so this character totally won't be appealing to just about anyone here, heh. At least her daughter is more pleasing to the eyes.

The pose and look is great, her legs are a tad too thin, like she's got a giant crotch, a good way to size it up is to chunk up the upper and inner thighs just a tad bit

Yeah they kind of look on the skinny side... there's also an unintended nip in her crotch that makes it look like a camel toe that I can't unsee now.. :(

A real life sketch, slightly enhanced by the powers of virtual erasers (and brightness/contrast).

Planning some weight gainy stuff with this usually slim OC of mine so I drew her in the three standard shapes to get a feel for what I want. The OC seems to enjoy it as well so all is good. Right? Which one is your favourite?

I wanted to try my hand at streaming art, just like all the bigger kids do.
Here's the link: http://www.livestream.com/akafasbbws?t=512176
Starting within a few minutes probably. Or whenever someone comes (or doesn't.)

hope to see someone there :)

Poasting with content. From the stream to be exact.
First there's the thing I coloured here all nice on DA: http://akafa.deviantart.com/#/d4hvyi0

And then, the real fun part.
This character of mine, Garminé, I have almost exclusively drawn in her travelling clothes, as seen here: http://akafa.deviantart.com/art/Strike-a-Pose-Garmine-263600507
Now, sometimes she's not travelling, so I decided, to design some other clothes for her. Winter clothes to be exact where applicable. It''s messy but I wanted to get a sense for the design, not make a finished pic.

Big image

The first two are clothes of her own, the latter one is picked for her for performances. She'd never wear that otherwise but somehow she looks happy with it... and oh so very different from how I'm used to her.
