there are points where though - lets say if one of those kids (some of them are I know - a friend of mine is atheist and his parents wanted him to 'get in touch with the Lord.' - lets just say it ended veeeeery badly.) were about to go and they didn't want to - they'd be in hell for a week or more.

In the actual movie there is this one kid, very articulate, who is handed the mic to so he can give his "testimonial" or something. He starts talking about how sometimes he wonders if God is real because nobody can actually see him or anything, and how he sometimes even wonders if the Bible is real. You can visibly see all the air being sucked out of the room while he's speaking. The kids are just standing there with this gaped-mouth expression on their faces like "did he REALLY just say that." I was half expecting Becky to shut him down or something but she didn't. She let him talk. That may be the only good thing she did throughout the entire movie. I haven't watched it all so I don't know what happened afterwards.

Unfortunatelly, most of the camps aren't so nice.
I'd say about 50/50 of them being humane, the rest.... well.... use your imagination.
