Patrols are regular scouting trips, by boat (Riverguard), by air (Skyguard), or walking through Mossflower (Forestguard), on the watch for signs of approaching vermin. If any vermin groups found are small enough to be handled by the patrol, they can be taken care of then and there.

This is a grassy, sparsely treed area near the river. It almost always has beasts milling around it, both Mossguards and those who are only stopping on their way to somewhere else. Spars are regularly held here, and anybeast is welcome to practice on a dummy set up near the treeline, or ask another, more experienced beast for lessons. If you like, you can ask another member to do a short RP with you here and give you tips and criticisms. Please put "training" or similar in the topic description so that other members know it is not a regular RP (though there can be more than one student at a time if you like).

Here there are racks of spare weapons for any Mossguard who has lost one, or even just wants a temporary one for practice, as well as extra arrows and slingstones. Mossguard keeps a resident smith, but volunteers are always welcome. Across the hall the mason, carpenter, tailor, and potter help to keep the fortress running smoothly.

All warriors are required to do regular guard duty here, and there is a fairly steady stream of forest dwellers using to bridge as a safe crossing. It is also a favorite place of friends to meet or talk, and many take their meals here. During defenses against ships archers, slingbeasts, and javelin throwers attack from here, along with any other missiles.

The Mossguard kitchens are an almost endless bustle of activity as cooks try to keep up with the nourishment needs of all the hungry Mossguards, yet at the same time are forced to fight hungry warriors off the food. The mess hall holds a steady roar of mixed conversations and food and diners jostle for space.

Here the keeper and her assistants tend to a steady stream of injuries- from stove burns to sword wounds- and offer constant advice.

Here are shelves upon shelves of information, just waiting for curious paws. Spare quills and paper are always on hand if you should need them, and the recorder's office merges with the library.

These are the living quarters of Mossguard's residents: dormitories for civilians, barracks for the warriors. Besides the beds, these areas each contain a living room, where those living here can spend their free time as they choose.
