what is the best filler to fill in some imperfection milliput? i really find plastic model filler very hard to work with. everytime i sand Plastic model filler then different place of PMF is ruined (very deep scratch / light chip) ! :(

other question is, some time i used milliput on some area then i running out of millput then i used more then added some area, few hours later first area solid, second area still soft? what did i do wrong?

Many thanks

I use isopon p38 body filler.

Not sure on the second One, as long as its mixed 50/50 it sould be fine. Its does take a good few hours to go off without heat.

I use normal car body filler mate. Sets solid in about 20 mins and is easy to sand

i've been using milliput to do any main bits of filling - try and get as close to the shape i'm after with the milliput then i use Isopon P38 easy sand body filler for any smal areas i need to build up - this way it saves waiting hours just to do a small patch up , and the P38 is softer than the milliput so you dont end up sanding the filler and milliput away just the filler

You wno need to wait long mate. Tip, let the sand paper do the work, don't force the shape you're after, It will come eventually

i dont know what paper but i just had look at other thread so i'll try 80-180 to shape then 400-600 to finish it.

another question: do you all use harden stuff?

you mean hardner
i take it you never mix the two together then.mix one golf ball size of filler to one pea size hardner mix well with spreader then apply to model you will have to work quickly as it sets in 7-15 mins depending on room temp.

i used to use filler alot but since using milliput fine grade (white packet) ive not looked back.
milliput very easy to use once you get the mix right 50/50 and is easy to shape just like pastersean just wet your fingers as this stops the milliput sticking to them also wetting the milliput will give it a smoother finish great for making body kits also works well as an adesive too
once its set (i leave it for a day to dry and harden) once dry i use 180 grit wet flat paper and a small rubber block to shape up use water with a little bit of fairy this acts as a lubricant and degreases the milliput too.
once its close id use 360-400 grade paper again wet then finish off with 600-800 paper
other advantage of milliput is its non pourious so it wont suck up water or paint like filler hope this helps.
