hi i just purchased a set of Real Alloy Wheels from MM but i'm unsure how to go about fixing them to the model - lots of the Cars i have seen listed on ebay say the wheels are static - so from this i'm guessing that the stubs have been cut off and the Wheel is glued to the Knuckle joint ?? any advice would be much appreciated Thanks in advance juju :) |

Depending on the model, u will have to remove some stumps! For instance the minichamps cosworth, u can unscrew the original wheels and then replace them with the modded wheels, using the stumps as ur stance guide aswell! Another model, F100 I had to cut my stumps and glue them about 20mm higher, to give it a good stance for the alu wheels I used! I also had to cut the front stumps on my lamborghini gallardo aswelln to make the alloys fit under the arches! hope this info helps u some mate, if ur still struggling I have a photo guide on both models if u want to search the W.I.P. Section they are.... Dryden1877 Ford F100 Dryden1877 First Mod - cosworth |

Aswell it all depends on urself aswell! If u like the stance then u have achieved what u want and have done it right, but its also trial and error aswell mate, Before I change the wheels on my models I normally strip the model to see if there's anything hidden aswell, Sometimes just simple mods can set the model off nicely! Just a simple wheel change and exhaust and that can look amazing! Phat C's WIP thread is probably the best to see simple mods, his modded models are really nice! |
