Chaps, i work in publishing, but i have a few friends who run there own mags online, the thing is do you think there would be any interest in a modified model magazine? its something i have been thinking about for a while, i would like to offer it as free monthly or bi monthly magazine, where the advertising will pay for the cost of the production and ongoing running. i have people who write features and they could really do some great stuff, i work on the repro side so i could do all the pages and a friend of mine can design it plus i could also do the photography. I don't want to make money out of it, its more of a hobby really, now i know the cost of to set it up and have got a few online magazine hosts giving me prices. So guys would this be something you may be interested in? it will be free too. cheers robin |

To be honest Chaps it could be! would be a nice addition to the forum. i thought about a monthly feature on how to's, etc etc, mad model collections (roadstermatt lol) and just modified model features, new releases, what looks good and what doesn't, painting techniques. Plus i don't think there is one out there that caters for modified models. |

i couldnt agree more mate , think it needs to be done tbh and calling it model motorvation will also broaden the mm brand and anyone that knows of the forum/facebook or ebay pages will instantly reconise it as part of the mm family please let me know if there is any costs involved as i am sure me and dave would be happy to help out if there is also dave's dad is also in magazine design!! |

Yeah i would like to do a printed mag, but that would cost in excess of 10 large to set up, plus the countless months trying to get ad revenue in, a online mag to start with but never say never it if it got large enough and had enough subscribers and good advertisers and i could charge enough for advertiseing then it could be a printed mag, i already have a printer onside so i know i could get it printed if i had the investment. |
