this is a thread on how to lower your models, i thought i would start with my F100 Pick-Up first off i took the original wheels off the truck and placed the new alloys onto it to check its stance but it stood way to high this is the rear stance ![]() and this is the front ![]() NOW LETS GET DOWN TO SLAMMING IT!!!!! first off, you have to remove all the screws holding the chassis so that the body and chassis is seperate ![]() the wheels just pull off the truck, so there not hard to remove, i then took the front and rear axle CAREFULLY off the truck, and started to cut off the wheel spacers this is the front axle ![]() and the rear ![]() once you have smoothed all the parts u have cut off, i then put the axles back onto the chassis, and placed the chassis onto the truck and then glued the wheel spacers about 3-4mm higher as you will see in the next imaged (but always double check or triple check to be on the safe side) this is the rear ![]() I also glued the steering coloumn straight, just incase i forgot or i sold the truck (will never do) and someone turned the wheel and popped off the alloy, so i would advise you to do it too!! you dont want to have to go through the next part again!! haha and this is the front ![]() once all the glue has dried i then got the wheels out and started on the rear wheels, (if you look back at the last images you will see a lip on the bed of the truck, i put a little bit of glue in the centre of the wheel and a little at the top of the wheel, so it sticks to the truck ![]() and then i went to the front, now this was alot more tricky than i thought theres alot of holding to get it to set the way you want it, any slight movement and you have to put some more glue on it to make it stick, but in the end i got there,
