I'm thinking of a paint job and have some tamiya masking tape as recommended here. My main concern is how long to let paint dry before removing masking tape? |

The last time I used it, I pulled the tape off as soon as I had finished painting. This ment the One leak I had was still wet and came strate off with a tooth pick. That was with the Tamiya tape and Tamiya Acrylic paint, I was painting the bumpers.

you should buy a thing called fine line! its like insulating tape then use your making tape, stops a big thick edge on the wet paint! and its a lot easier to remove it aslong as you pull the tape in the direction of the wet paint! |

Have to admit I've not used humbrol or revell since I was a kid. Only use Tamiya as it was on sale and and stuck with it.

What about halfords car paints? Would they be good enough for diecast metals? |

Halfords spray cars are my first choice, Primer Colour and Clear. ![]() I have used others but the Halfords Ones work best for me.
