Hi all

Well, bought this item last night

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250768546200&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

and tonight I go onto eBay to pay for it. Up pops a message via eBay asking to cancell the transaction. I message the seller why and no reason other than 'This item is no longer for sale'. He replys the following:

I sold on another toy sale site I tried to stop the auction but as it had a bidder on I could stop until after sorry for this

I had received no message of this till it ended.

I then spot that he has re-listed it with a BIN @ £20.00 + £6.00 p&p.

When I reply saying this, I get told that its a

Different car

I havent replyed to this yet but I want the car as It was cheap and may be usefull for parts.

Now, I dont believe its a different car as the pic in the re-listed auction (link below) and on my auction, it says that he has relisted it. I recon he has done this as he didnt want to pay for a reserve and it didnt sell for what he wanted.

Also, he has done the same to 3 other models as I was bidding on them aswell but didnt win (jada pickups & NSX)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250770214117

What should I do? Want to report & leave negative.

Thanks
::-):

take it to ebay, surely if he had two he shouldve offered the second one to you instead of advertising it after telling you its gone.
full of shit, clearly, just demand the 'second' car in replacement for the price you won it for.

edit; oh and if youre after it for parts (wheels etc) dont bother, i had one and theyre too big to be any use for 1/18

thats rubbish not bein able to stop the auction on an item until after its ended as i've ended stuff on ebay before its ended in the past which have had bidders on them, so i agree with everyone by saying take it up with ebay

Had an email back from eBay.

Hello Andrew,

Thank you for your email. I understand you're concerned as your seller
"lstc1975" refused to sell the item you've won.

As you're aware of, the seller's refusal to sell the item you've won is
a breach of our Seller Non-Performance policy. Let me assure you that we
don't condone such activity as buyers should receive the item they've
fairly won and such reports will be taken seriously.

In view of this matter, we've reviewed your seller's account and taken
the appropriate action. It's important to bear in mind that not all of
the actions that we can take are visible to you or may not be visible
immediately. However, let me assure you again that we've taken the
necessary action.

Breaches of eBay's policies can lead to consequences that range from
issuing the seller an informational alert, a temporary suspension, an
indefinite suspension or terminating the member's account.

While I understand that you want to know exactly what action we took on
the member's account, as it's important that eBay maintains member
privacy, we won't be able to share these details with you.

Your Feedback is also a key tool in helping us weed out bad sellers. If
we see consistent bad performance from a seller, we'll take further
action.

I recommend that you leave feedback that reflects your experience with
this transaction. Your feedback comment and rating will help other
members who are considering buying from this seller.

I trust this information is helpful and thank you for your patience and
understanding regarding this matter. Please let us know if we can be of
any further assistance and don't hesitate to contact us again.

Kind regards,

eBay Trust & Safety

So unless they've terminated his account not really done much!! Unfortunately mate these people are around and ruin it for the rest of us!
Leave bad feedback as there is a now a thing where they can't leave you bad feedback without registering a problem!
And other than that avoid :fight:

In the end I left negative feedback. Also had to accept the canceling of the transaction as I would have had an unpaid strike against me.

Anyway, tonight, he has left me feedback. It was positive but put 'never paid'.

have now done another message to eBay to get it removed and to try and find out what they actually did.
