I was trying to get in shape for an event and i noticed that walking on the treadmill did not work the areas that i thought i would need. Then I found a pair of two pound ankle weights my son had. I have been using them in my regular workout and when i do my cool down at the end i high step for as long as I can. I bring my knees to waist high to represent deep snow and the weight is heavier than my boots. It took a week to notice a big difference but having worked in mud outside most of my life I know how fast not having the leg strengh can hurt. |
