I did not tell half of what I saw, for I knew I would not be believed.

In 2034, counter-terrorism task force Public Security Section 9 works to ensure that the Internet is not crippled by terrorists. Major Motoko Kusanagi, the previous lead of the task force, returns two years after her disillusioned departure, only to find that a hacker named "The Puppeteer" has masterminded a spat of high-profile suicides. Public Security Section 9 investigates the hacker and discovers a complex conspiracy involving a crippled senior citizen program, a zealous right-wing politician, and a corrupt civil service bureaucracy

It's the wrap-up movie to the Stand Alone Complex Anime, and takes place 2 years after GiTS: SAC: 2nd GIG.

It's amazing, just like the anime, the movies and the manga, and you should watch it.

And for those new to Ghost In The Shell, go watch the original 1995 movie, then the sequel, and then watch the anime. The anime is two seasons, 26 episodes each season, with this final movie.

It should go without saying that you should read the manga series that started it all.

Personally, Ghost In The Shell is my absolute, most favorite anime/story ever. The entire franchise is amazing, and has never let me down. It's pure quality.
