I did not tell half of what I saw, for I knew I would not be believed.

Ok, so, I want to get some books to read. I'm not sure which ones, though.

For nonfiction, I'm interested in:

Psychology, Philosophy, Programming, Anti-Religious studies, Ethical studies, Worthwhile Biographies, and I'm open for suggestions.

For Fiction, I want:

Cyberpunk, Dystopian-esque, Poetry, anything that takes serious thought, and I'm open for suggestions.

No manga, no comics. Plain books.

So far on my list:

Nonfiction:

Underground - Suelette Dreyfus and Julian Assange
The Best of 2600 book - Emmanuel Goldstein
A Biography of Hitler (apparently any one of them will do)

Fiction:

The Fountainhead - Ayn Rand
Anthem - Ayn Rand
Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand
We The Living - Ayn Rand
Like We Care - Tom Matthews
1984 - George Orwell
Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
Burned - Ellen Hopkins
His Dark Materials Trilogy - Phillip Pullman
The Shadow Children - Margret Peterson Haddix
Brave New World - Aldous Huxley
Cat's Cradle - Kurt Vonnegut
The Stranger - Albert Camus
On A Winter's Night A Traveler - Italo Calvino
How To Travel With A Salmon - Umberto Eco
Slaughterhouse Five - Kurt Vonnegut

Ooooooh... I want to read 1984 too. :3

I read part of Ender's Game, but I never finished it. The last part of the book wasn't that appealing to me. However, take into consideration I was, like, 12 when I tried it. I think I should try it again. :P

A book I can recommend is Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut. Great book. ;)

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky... incredibly interesting story that has you take a look into the mind of a murderer and the effect his crimes have on his psyche...

It's too bad Steinbeck doesn't seem to fit into your likes.

Try Angels & Demons. Much better than the movie.
