![]() So, i was doing some wiki-diving, and anything NIN related is always fun, so while looking up the Broken movie (Do it! It's on youtube, too. : D), I ran across this by article jumping: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_Zero_(alternate_reality_game) This shit is BAD ASS. Not only did they do tons of free fanservice, have tons of fun with some badass writing and continuity, they also got tons of people THINKING. Thinking about the future, the past, and their whole goddamn lives! Not only was this an amazing thing to pull off, but it's on such an epic scale I've probably just become a HUGE NIN-tard because of it, if I wasn't one already. When you can find the time, go through the timeline part of the wiki, and look at all the breadcrumbs. Not only did they add tons of badass stuff that actually makes it a challenge to follow, but a FUN one, that requires THOUGHT, they laid it all out so intricately, and left them all up for you to trace again. Yeah, I'm off to get all the HALOs and SEEDs on my hard drive, now. If you know what those are without having to check, you rock. If you actually bother to check and find the right answer, you rock, too. *Off to fangirl land*

This is actually interesting. I didn't like him before, but the guy's a visionary. Granted, a visionary who thinks that it should be front-page news when he takes a shit, but a visionary nonetheless. |

That guy reminded me of Tom Leykis. Tom Leykis is brilliant and listening to him is like listening to Jesus giving you love lessons though that may be stretching it a bit because Tom Leykis is really cynical towards love while Jesus promotes it. Course just because he's brilliant doesn't make him any less of a pig. |

I know it was a joke, ibjusr didn't find it to be funny. Is that so bad? Honestly, I don't hold it against him. Everybody's done stupid things, that while at the moment are funny don't really matter as anything but a source of humor in the future. One of the users on AnotherVersionOfTheTruth reminded me of Q. The name started with a p and the post was a wall of text. |

So, you looked through the wiki and followed the timeline? I love NIN, and Trent Reznor really has contributed a shitton to society. The april fools joke was a play on the insane fans. :/ Honestly, he has done shitloads of good for society, but some people follow his word like a religion... It was making fun of that. It was also a play on his progress with NIN. He went from not giving a shit, to giving more of a shit than most people. ;/ Edited by Gwen, Jun 16 2009, 07:05 PM.

But he didn't actually give a shit. He took a shit. Isn't that a bit selfish? Lulz, kidding. But some of the religious stuff, wow. What sort of minds are behind this, because this can't be the work of just one guy, can it? And, something happens in Boston. Apparently the harbor'll turn to blood. |

Trent is, literally, NINE INCH NAILS. The only time he brings other people into the band is for tours, and occasionally he has those from that tour record parts of the album with him. According to Trent, the NIN/JA tour is probably his last. DX Plz let it not be so. Anyway, I have no doubt the base idea, and most of the writing for the Year Zero events were done by Trent. He might have had a little input here and there, but NINE INCH NAILS music is written by Trent alone minus some stuff, like the Ghosts albums, which he had other people come in (Including Dresden Dolls drummer, Brian Vigilone : D), and I'd assume the Year Zero project is mostly the same way. :/ Year Zero is Trent's idea of how our country is heading towards the future, with sci fi elements added.
