I did not tell half of what I saw, for I knew I would not be believed.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/its-official-men-really-are-the-weaker-sex-1055688.html So, I see this in three ways: 1: Well, if we don't start finding a way to be more efficient and quit polluting the hell out of the earth, we may be responsible for the destruction of most life on earth because of lack of ability to reproduce. 2: So, seeing as the chemicals are causing this, would it be a possibility that the animals, and possibly people, over time would eventually adapt? Would it be a possibility that over time, because of our screw up, earths animals might evolve to be hermaphroditic? Generally, when people, and other animals are born intersexed, they cannot reproduce. They're sterile. But if this causes a widespread need to adapt, would it be possible that earth's creatures will adapt to being hermaphroditic? 3: I need pesticides, stat. |

iknorite? Who knew dumping tons and tons of chemicals into our oceans and spraying our crops with artificial poisons would have any damaging effects on the ecosystem? Go figure... Edited by Gwen, May 22 2009, 01:02 PM.

The best form of adaption you can really hope for is that those who were not affected by the chemicals will reproduce. Then, their children will not be affected. However, being humans, we try not to let natural selection take its course. If it gets really bad, they'll just stop making the stuff... I know companies can be bad but continuing something that devastates like that is just plain evil.

I was hoping through natural selection, we would eventually adapt to all this pollution... |
