So one of the crew was there? Jon only glanced towards his Commander before stepping forward in to the galley, motioning for the uniformed security officer to bring the person they found forward. Upon seeing the man, Lancaster if he remembered correctly, shoved through the hatch to where they were at. "Drew Lancaster. Former Alliance medical officer who, if records are correct turned to desertion from his post." Sharp eyes of the Captain studied the rugged man from head to toe. Sloppy. Pathetic. "It's a pity that you were all pardoned at the end of the War. I would have taken much pleasure in bringing the charges against you myself for killing your fellow Alliance sisters and brothers."

As Jonathan talked he walked around the man. Taking him in and sneering by the time he was facing the Doctor once more. He was quite sure that his medical license must have been revoked else had a pretty shitty one restored to him to land this job. The Alliance Captain simply waved a dismissive hand in the air as two security officers came up behind Lancaster. "Take him to the conference room in the lower level of the ship. Extract as much information to him as possible. Commander, have Lieutenant Vibeke assist."

Screams from a child down the corridor brought the older MacKenzie's attention toward the hatch. Without waiting to see the security officers take the man away the blond haired man was moving towards the sounds of distress. There hadn't been any records of a child on the ship. He was quite sure that his sister had only one brat running around the known universe. Upon seeing the distressed child the man quirked a brow upward slightly. "Such filth from a child's mouth should not go unquestioned."

Jon straightened his uniform studying the little girl with a hard, cold gaze. "Corporal, hand me the girl. Evidently you know nothing of handling unruly children such as this." Only a brief gaze was sent toward Tessa before the older man held out his right hand motioning for the man to move.

"Lemme go! And get your dirty paws of my bear or I'll make you regret it you purple belly lizards!" Rosalee Williams was scareder than she'd ever been before in all five years she'd been alive but she was still boiling mad over this woman keeping her friend hostage! The child writhed in the strange large man's grip, shooting molten hot glares in the red heads direction. Rosalee only had two things from her mommy! Just two! Her picture and her Dot and no one was gonna take those away from her!

Another new voice echoed down the hallway like ice, it made the child shudder and the man holding her stiffened right up too. Hand him the girl?! No! She'd had quite enough manhandling for one day and the five year old shrieked her displeasure as she was given over. "Yes Sir. Careful sir... she kicks." And kick she did! Clawing onto her original captor's shirt, fighting like a cornered bobcat to get free. She needed to get down... and then kick this lady in the shin and grab Dot and then run really really fast. To where? Well, Rosie wasn't all too sure yet. But somewhere that wasn't here.

Tessa met Captain MacKenzie's gaze without pause. She had nothing to hide. If the Captain was aware she had once been a mother, than he would also be aware that such was no longer the case. Nor was she the type to act maternal to children around her. Her gaze moved toward the tiny child that was clawing at the guard that had the misfortune of holding onto her. When Jon's gaze went back to the child she turned hers to the man that was trying to get her attention with the camera. She plucked it from his grip with long fingers, turning it over quickly. Homemade and still sending out a signal. She looked straight into the lens before dropping it to the ground and grinding it with the toe of her pretty purple pumps.

"They are still transmitting even after being ripped from the wall. That kind of technology is usually used to guard secrets. Have you found their secrets?" She asked the man, her voice smooth and her eyes cold even as she gripped the stuffed animal firmly in her hand. Killing the camera would send out a signal to someone who would not be happy that they were on this ship. "No? Then why are you here?" Her voice was still even and her eyes were still locked onto the mans. Those blue eyes of hers continued to track him as he turned and fled as quickly as he could without showing disrespect.

Tessa turned smoothly back to Rosalee and Captain MacKenzie. The girl was fighting as best she could, not that it was helping. Tessa kept her face in the same apathetic mask she usually did as the child cursed she shrieked her anger. She could be mad at Tessa, if Tessa was the bad guy than Rosalee was safe. She didn't bother to see what Jon's take on her ordering his men about was. Technically she could order him about as well if the mood suited her. Unfortunately doing that would mean she'd have to answer all kinds of sticky questions that would get back to Veldon who would be far too interested in why his normally unmoved little sister would go to the trouble of saving one tiny girl that didn't matter. So she wouldn't do anything. Yet.

Rosalee had grown a lot in two years, her hair was longer and she had Tessa's eyes. Such things were to be expected. The scraped knees and knuckles were something every child was graced with, but the mouth. That was pure Hunter. Tessa stared at the child for a moment and then turned her head to look at Jon. He could deal with this one since apparently he was blessed with the knowledge of how to care for a rebellious child. Of course if anyone had spent more than 30 seconds with Cassidy than they would know that it was his aids that were better at dealing with rebellious children. Cowing them into submission rarely lasted long, though usually it lasted just long enough in cases like this.

She turned back to the child at her latest comment. Lizards. It was true enough that Tessa was a purple belly, as was everyone else on the Shengli, with the possible exception of Cassidy. She waited for an explosion from the guard, too many lost their tempers at comments like that, but the man swallowed as he glanced back at Tessa, the whites of his eyes showing. He remembered what had happened to his partner. Good. The lesson had worked. Tessa allowed the tiniest smile to grace her lips as she watched him wince as another of Rosie's fists hit home. She was a fighter.

As the child was handed over to him, the oldest MacKenzie held on to her tight. It was a no nonsense hold that he had developed after having as many siblings as he did. Carefully turning her in his hold he set the rebellious child back on to her feet making sure that the little girl had a clear view toward the galley where the Doctor was being prepared to move down to the ship's conference room for questioning. "Such a sweet child. You like this crew and this ship don't you, sweetheart?"

Leaning in towards her ear the older man only glanced down to her once before allowing his eyes to travel back towards the hatchway. It was a cruel little smile that managed to slide across Jon's face as he somehow managed to keep his tone light and surprisingly calm. "Which is why we are going to play a little game. Keep throwing a fit and with each outburst I will kill this ship's crew one at a time. Starting with Doctor Lancaster. Behave and they will live and you can have your bear back." Jon paused, glancing back towards the child he was trying to hold still in his arms. "A game that I think you could easily win."

"Lucas, take the child back to the ship and deposit her with my niece. Return once you have finished. I want you present at the good doctor's questioning."

This new man... he was... well Rosalee didn't know a word for it. He was scary yes, everyone here was scary. But he was a different kind, one that gave her creepy crawlies up and down her back and a cold hard lump in her throat. The tall lady had at least promised not to hurt Rosie, and even attacked one of her own people (which was a little bit terrifying too, Rosie wasn't sure what to expect from her) but this man, with his cruel blue eyes, was talking all soft and sweet.

It was only when she'd started listening to his words that her panic had welled up farther. Kill them?!?! The whole crew? Just because she was trying to get away? Weren't the Alliance supposed to take people prisoner? This was all wrong! Her young mind was whirring as fast as it ever had, fueled by adrenaline and fear. She couldn't let this man kill them, but she was scared! What if he killed her instead!

Finally she came to a decision, she couldn't stop fighting, not if there was a chance she could get free; but Rosalee stopped yelling at the top of her lungs. She wriggled and struggled and tried oh so desperately to fight from his grip; but even with all the extra energy boiling up from instinct the small child was beginning to tire herself out. It was a hard task trying to battle off three full grown men many times your size. Her eyes held nothing but utter contempt for this person threatening her crew and her family. And she hissed under her breath, tears falling without sobs to the floor. "You ain't gonna win you big bully... my daddy'll come and the crew and Gammy and they'll make you sorry...."

For once, Rollan wished he had stayed back in entrance of the galley. The commander knew most a lot of what he'd consider to be protocol went on the rocks out on the fringe, but this was a little much. His glance drifted from the Captain to Tessa and then to the Doctor, "Yes sir." he replied lowly as he took the Doctor and slapped a pair of standard issue cuffs on his wrists.

"Vibeke, I'm going to need you to come to the Cressida's conference room. We've got a Doctor that needs to be interrogated." Rollan said over his com-link. Rough play was never something he had been good at, hopefully A.K. had better methods. He couldn't help but feel a little bad for the man but what was he to do? Orders were orders."For your sake, I hope you don't try anything funny. He grumbled as he yanked the Doctor through the hallway. Hopefully putting on a tough act would soften the man up for is own sake.

Tessa glanced through the doorway dispassionately as she saw a tall man being readied to move. Jonathan wouldn't hurt the child, the alliance didn't hurt children. Not innocent children. The words were recited over and over, even as images of some of the things she had been put through danced through her mind. Then images of things that had happened to other children when she'd gone in for testings. Kids like River and Chloe and Maya. The way they treated children like she had been was exactly the reason she'd made sure that Rosie had disappeared when she'd realized she had that same aptitude.

"I have sedatives," Tessa informed the man, her voice light as she tilted her head a bit to watch the child's face. She too thought that Jon was a bully, but bullies made some of the best politicians and military men. They weren't afraid of throwing their weight around or smacking people to keep them in line. They also knew how to kiss the ass of those that had more power. Her chest felt tight as she kept watching the child, but she made sure to keep her face carefully blank.

bang bang!
"I'll be there shortly, Vibeke out," the Security Officer had pinged in response to Commander Strauss. She muttered something beneath her breath, a mixture of obscenities in Chinese and English, before readying a shuttle to take to the Cressida.

She would arrive in a few minutes and get straight to work, just as told.

((Starting a new thread in the Conference Room for le interrogation.))
