Drew nodded to Gwen, setting down the syringe before moving out of the MedBay silently. He needed to speak with Cora as well, perhaps atone for his dour attitude he always seemed to send in her direction. It was leftover from the war, training people that way, gettin' the soft knocked right outta them. But now, he reflected, on his way back up to the galley, perhaps that wasn't the best course for Cora. She had the bedside manner he sometimes lacked, and she really did know her stuff. He stepped back into the galley, giving the remaining crew a nod. "She'll be fine. Jes' a bit overstressed." He leaned against the counter, his eyes moving across them. "Tom, Echo - find out where Jay needs to get off at, make the arrangements." His eyes moved to the new co-pilot, who looked shaken. "Unless yer plannin' on leavin' us." Echo raised her chin a notch. "I been witness to too much damage them Alliance've caused. So far as I'm concerned, I'm on your side. Will be til the end." Drew nodded, knowing he didn't need to ask Tom. "Get on it, then." He turned to the rest of them, a mixture of expressions greeting him. Fi, a trace of irritation in her looks, no doubt from Cora's earlier outburst, and Nat who he could never seem to read. And that was all. The rest of the crew had either disappeared after the MedBay debacle, or gone before that. "Pretty sure I don't need to see about you two, do I?" |
