Echo eyed herself in the mirror. Her already tanned skin had an extra bronzer on it that made it look like she'd just gotten back from having kinky sex, and was now going to shed her clothes for the crowd, maybe have a little more.

Hah. It was funny. She hadn't slept with anyone in more than six months. Oh, God, or was it a year now? This is what she got for cutting all ties with the Alliance.

"Hey, Echo! They're calling you, xìngbié māo!"[/b]

Sex Cat. That was a very comforting title, she thought wryly, rolling her eyes as she stood and moved toward the stage entrance.

The fair brought good crowds, she thought as she made her way onto the stage...strutting, really. She was wearing a simply outfit, black leather underwear, chaps, boots, and boustier, but the long, thin flannel cowboy shirt covered her for the moment. Echo tipped the ten gallon hat forward, just covering her eyes as she put on a sexy-sweet smile on her lips and began to dance, her hips moving to the beat of the music.

Drunk men made the crowd thick with lust, and the girl who had danced before her had warned how grabby they had gotten. Lots of tourists, then; the local guys knew better, but it was more often than not they got some needy space cowboy with some fizzled out fantasy of sleeping with a stripper.

The crowd hooted and hollared as her fingers expertly danced down the buttons of the shirt, teasing them with scant views of her toned stomach and upper thighs that the chaps didn't cover.

TAG Nat, ;) Do with it what you will. Remember, this is a family RPG, LoL
As for the title, I'm listening to the Dr. Horrible soundtrack at the moment, and that song just happened to be on.

Nathaniel walked quickly down the sidewalk, narrowly skirting around a young couple with their arms around each other. The man glared at him, but Nat ignored him, going back to his book.

It was a hot, dry day, and thirst had began to nag at him. Looking up, Nat glanced around. He appeared to have wondered into a less reputable side street, just off of the main fair area. The clamor could still be heard, but there were a lot less people around. On the corner, he spotted what looked like a club. There was music emanating from it, at least. He wasn't up for dancing, but the drinks might be good.

Lost in thought, Nat didn't exactly read the sign as he entered. What met his eyes as he took in his surroundings surprised him. Although there was a bar to one side of the packed room, there was also a crowd of men standing in front of a stage. Under flashing lights, a woman gyrated to the throbbing music. It was a strip club.

Nat found himself being pushed by the crowd, jostled further into the club. He looked back towards the door, but there was no way he could push through all of these people at the moment. Grabbing a seat at the closest table, he let out a long breath. A scantily clad waitress sauntered over, holding out a tray of drinks. Nat snatched one, taking a long gulp. He handed a two credit note to the waitress, who looked at him oddly.

Glancing gingerly up at the stage, he saw that that a new dancer had taken the stage. Dressed in a western shirt over not much else, she swayed suggestively, beginning to remove the shirt. He looked away guiltily. What had he gotten himself into?

Echo didn't normally look at the crowd - it was too easy to attach herself. But she was so used to numbing out to so many eyes staring up at her, drooling at her feet, that when she glanced about and spotted a man looking away, it, well...it made a difference. It made her feel a if, no matter what she did for a living, she still got a hint of respect out there.

But then, this was temporary. She had her feelers out for a piloting job, and maybe the fair would bring in some needy ships. She wouldn't hold her breath.

The shirt slipped off her shoulders, revealing her tanned abs, and a skimpy black bra. This was going to be the hard part; locals knew she went no further, but the tourists didn't.

Echo didn't want a fight to break out, but she had no control over it.

"Take it all off!" one drunken man yelled. Echo responded by tossing a wicked grin, throwing her hat into the crowd and pulling out a whip.

Why did men like that? She never knew. But it always excited them, she thought with a internal laugh.

Nathaniel made the mistake of glancing at the stage again. The shirt was gone, and the cowboy hat came flying in his direction. Without thinking, he reached out a hand and grabbed it out of the air. It was a nice hat. Maybe he'd keep it. As he examined it, he caught a whiff of what must have been her. It smelled woody and spicy and wonderful. Groaning inwardly, he placed the hat on the table in front of him.

Nat took another drink, ignoring the bitter taste as the liquid ran down his throat. He normally didn't drink more than a beer or two, but he had the rare urge to do something stupid.

It wasn't long before her song came to an end, and a collective groan rose from the drunk men as Echo dropped off of the stage with practiced ease. Tugging her shirt back on as a new dancer started, Echo made her way over to bar, slipping through the crowd. A few men made grabs at her, but she pulled away before they could get a handle. Their reactions were slow, anyway.

"Hey, Billy. Can you grab me a shot of tequila?"

"You got it, babe. Crazy crowd tonight, huh?" he asked, pouring her the shot and sliding it to her.

Echo took the shot quickly, wincing as it burned. "Yeah, crazier than usual. I was tempted just to go in the back. But I had to see my favorite bartender." She put down the glass, waving to him. "I'll catch ya later."

Moving into the crowd toward the stage area, she felt the crowd swarming around her, and felt that familiar panic begin to grow. She always got nervous in crowds like this, and, after fighting plenty of her own battles, it should not have happened.

She felt an arm creep around her waist and she was tugged against an old, unshaven man's body - a place she did not want to be.

"Let go," she told him, her voice grave.

"Why, baby? You ain't nothin' more than a glorified hooker."

"Let go. Now," she repeated, feeling her teeth start to chatter nervously. He was stronger than her, she could tell.

They were pushed past a table, and she grabbed one of the chairsm awkwardly trying to sit down, and not succeeding. "Gorrammit! Let me go!"
