Well, seeing as the whole point of this board is to discuss how characters know each other and what that means for their interactions, I thought I would get used started with the Cressida crew. After all,. being stuffed onto a ship, they definitely know one another: no question there. So how do they interact? What are they like with one other? Since I was already in this account and feeling lazy, I figured I would start with Wilhelmina. She's a pretty straight forward character: 1. Has owned the Spencer-Dai company for six years (but has been running it for nearly ten). 2. Purchased the (then brand new) Cressida about four years prior as an additional company cargo ship. 3. Roughly two years ago, decided to be more "active" in the business, and joined the Cressida. 4. Oh, right, and she's helping to run a Browncoat Insurgence from the ship. That might be a little important. Now, not everyone aboard the ship might know of the underground rebellion movement, but certain characters will, no doubt. She's a very careful woman who prides herself on being calculating, collected, and above all else brilliant (she may or may not have an ego problem due to this). I'm curious to find out who knows about the insurgency, because those characters are going to be the one Wilhelmina relies on the most, as well as just generally how she perceives them and the crew sees her back. |

Seraphina, Fi to most everyone, often seems straightforward, though she really isn't. 1 - She was 12 when her father joined the Independent Forces and her mom had her helping to run weapons and food and clothing and just about everything else for their troops. 2 -After the end of the war her mother became a weapons dealer and made quite a name for herself. She was also rather highly placed in the Browncoat Underground Movement. 3 - Fi has contacts all over the 'verse and is well known for being dangerous and keeping her word. When her mother was killed by alliance troops during a raid on Core facilities 2 years ago, Fi decided it was time to do good. She made inquiries about the Browncoat Insurgence and contacted a woman to get a job. 4 - A year and a half ago Fi was given the position of Supply and Communications Specialist. Though she has more flags than anyone else on the boat, no one questions it because she's very good at getting what they need and fixing equipment that breaks down. 5 - The real reason she's there is because she gets information and some equipment for Miss Mina, passing along and collecting as needed. She also helps with waves and coded signals. She has full knowledge of what's going on and is completely for it. Hit first, ask questions later, don't pull your punches even verbally. She doesn't talk about her mother and she doesn't like getting close to people, though she can't seem to help it now that she's on the Cressi. She laughs, she smirks, she jokes but inside is a cold and calculating thing that is waiting to strike at the heart of the Alliance. |

Ok, so here's Tom: 1. His real name isn't Thomas Fisher, it's Noah Park and he grew up on Boros in an more neutral family. 2. He was never the one to follow his parents' rules and at the age of seventeen, he found out that they were planning his life. 3. He threatened to go to pilot school because they didn't like the thought of it, so he carried through with that action and changed his name so that no one would know that he was related to them. 4. He joined up with Cressida two years ago to help fly the ship and he's been there ever since. Tom supports the Independents and he'll let anyone know that. He is cocky and a jerk and doesn't care who he insults by being like that. He can still be cocky with the rest of the crew but he is starting to see them more as family. He doesn't talk about his past because his past isn't important since he changed his name. I would say that he probably doesn't know everything but he'd probably know a good amount. He's not the type of person to just fly someone around with no cause or even help on missions (when needed) without completely knowing. He's not completely in the dark but I wouldn't say that he has full knowledge. |

Here's Gwen in a nutshell per what those on the ship would know about her: 1.) She served during the war from start to finish and later became an officer. Being who she is, she doesn't talk about her experiences much, but they would know she was at Greenleaf and Serenity Valley. Those who have ever been in her quarters before might see old pictures of people she served with, maps, patches, little things here and there hinting to her service record. 2.) Gwen rarely talks about her family or her childhood. As far as everyone is concerned all her family died either during the war or at Alliance hands as civilians. Noone knows about her older brother Jonathan being in the Alliance (the records on Verbena were changed by their dad to reflect he was dead) and noone knows that Sidda is really her sister who was listed as MIA after Verbena was captured by the Alliance. 3.) The captain was assigned 2 years ago to the Cressida crew list the same time/year as Drew and Tom. She tries to be a fair woman- not running the place like a military unit, and seeing the crew more as a family now than she did at first. Gwen is the sort to listen when she needs to but isn't afraid to take action. It's worse to have her disappointed in you than angry because anger passes faster. 4.) Now, those that know about the underground movement and the captain's involvement in it would know she still sort of holds on to that old honor code her unit followed during the War. She's all for giving the purplebellies a few good blows but she will not put her crew or the ship in danger if she can get away with it. Gwen doesn't stand for hurting civilians when it comes to the insurgency, which could be a reason she clashes so much with Mina. To her the insurgency is about fixing what should have been fixed a long time ago, not to be a terrorist group. I figure that since Gwen is the captain of the Cressida that she would know of the insurgency though the extent is up to you. During the war she served the last few months before the ending as an officer raising up from the ranks of private- so she knows her way around the structures of the Independent forces. So! It's really up to you and Mina how much you want her to know about what Mina has planed. |

So, in terms of relations: Seraphina / Wilhelmina Time: Fi came aboard about a half a year after Mina. History: Wilhelmina knew Fi's mother back when she was acting as an insurgent. She's "kept an eye" on Fi in a way, not to protect her (Fi is perfectly capable of that) but as a possible asset to the insurgency. Relation: Wilhelmina sees Fi as an employee, and she has a very strict way of handling employees, expecting them to always do their best. The harder she pushes a person, the better she believes they are. In Fi's case, having known her mother, maybe she also holds her to standards her mother set, as far as believing in and doing anything for the cause? She always would have to greatly trust Fi. Knowledge: Fi would be deeply in the know, as Wilhelmina would have to trust her with a great deal of information. Gwendolyn / Wilhelmina Time: Mina came aboard a few months after Gwendolyn. History: Something in their history would have to have lead Wilhelmina to this particular ship. It wouldn't have to be personal, she could have just heard certain things about this captain, but Wilhelmina had tons of ships to choose from, and the person in charge would have effected her choice greatly. Relation: I think we've seen that their relationship is... rocky at best. Both woman are use to commanding everyone's full attention and respect, and both have very different ways of doing it. Like I said, Wilhelmina pushes people that she knows can do better, she does not settle for mistakes or laziness, and she definitely finds Gwen a very capable captain. She also, in her own way, respects Gwen greatly. Knowledge: I think it would be best if Gwen was pretty deep in the know, at least with what Wilhelmina shared with the crew. She will have her secrets of course, but anything having to do with Cressida and the over all missions of the ship she will share with Gwen. Anything that Fi or Kit or others learn she would not keep from Gwen. I'm not as sure on Thomas yet, and sadly have to run off to work, but I'll think about him when I get back! |

Hmm Guess I'll throw on a bit bout Carol. 1. Family is one of the most important things for her. She loves taking care of people. 2. She purposefully tries to dress so she looks younger and perkier because she doesn't want men looking at her as if she is a full grown women at this point. 3. The reason for that is because a year before she came onto Cressi she was engaged and expecting a baby. Her fiance died while out on a job on a different planet.(he worked for the Browncoat Insurgency but hadn't told her that and that has something to do with his job) She got sick and lost the baby after his death. 4. She is horribly clumsy and falls a lot. She has several faint scars from this. 5. She seems happy and open and she is. But she is afraid of letting someone get too close to her on a deeper level because of her recent losses. 6. Oh yes, She's been on the ship for just a tiny bit. As for the whole brwoncoat thing. She doesn't really know a whole lot about it. She knows that there is more to Cressida and her crew than the surface but she has so far chosen not to get curious about what that is. |

1) Kit's been on Cressida for about four years, starting off as nothing more than a cargo pusher and working his way up through sheer luck and stubbornness. 2) He's a good boy, or his parents raised him that way, although he likes to think he's this big action hero he's really just a kid. 3) He knows plenty about the going ons of the Browncoats aboard Cressida, having a deep connection to their cause because of his brother. Seraphina / Christian It seems Fi's and Kit's relationship is mostly friendly mean spiritedness. She pulls pranks on him and he, well, he tries to pull pranks back (but isn't nearly as good or clever about this as she is). He's a little confused by her, because part of him wants to assign her the role of 'biggest little sister' but then she doesn't seem like the type who wants him to get close, and she surely doesn't seem as concerned about family as he is, so he doesn't know what to do with her. Gwendolyn / Christian Kit loves this woman. Not in, you know, a creepy way, but he respects her, thinks she's amazing and strong willed and a fighter and he looks up to her for all of that. Basically, without his brother around, Kit sees Gwen in his place, needing someone to fill that role of being a nearby hero type for him. He would do just about anything she asked of him, and he doesn't question her orders. Thomas /Christian If Thomas sees Kit has being family well, then, Kit sees him the same. Not like an older brother, the same way he saw Josh, but kind of more like one of the fellows he worked with down at the ranch. He probably tries to joke around with Thomas just a little too much. At the same time, he's in awe of his flying skills. Carol / Christian Although he hasn't known her too long, Kit has already taken a shine to Carol. Not only because she's a good cook (although it helps) but also in that she seems to have some of the same values he has towards family. |

1) Tobias was Sheriff of a small town on Persephone before the war 2) He served as a non-com during the war. 3) He worked in the insurgency in some capacity, but no one knows what. 4) He's closed off, but no one knows the reason. Tobias/Jay The way I see this relationship (and Jay, feel free to tell me if I get anything wrong or going too far again) is neither one particularly likes the other, but there is a level of respect since they are both vets and skilled fighters. Tobias, although he won't soon forget that he pulled a gun on him, has decided to pretty much avoid Jay whenever possible because he knows they'd probably both end up in the ground were he to confront him again ![]() Tobias/Wilhelmina Tobias thinks she has a lot more guts than the yellow dogs that surrendered after Serenity, and respects that she won't give up the cause. He didn't take this job with enthusiasm. He would prefer to be on the front fighting the Alliance instead of sitting on the sidelines, but accepts his lot in life. Anyone else want to collaborate with me on what their dynamic is with Tobias, just PM me. |

Mina / Gwen: As stated above, this is a rocky working relationship. Gwen respects Mina as her boss and the owner of Cressida, but doesn't all the time agree with the way she conducts herself with her crew. While she understands the need to push her people to make them work to their best Gwen doesn't really agree with how she goes about it. She'll follow what ever orders Mina gives, sometimes reluctantly, to the best that she can and in ways that will keep their home/crew safe. Kit / Gwen: In a lot of ways Gwen sees Kit like a younger brother and mentee. She's trying her best to hone his skills and show him the right way to do things so, one day, he'll either captain Cressi or get his own ship. While at times he may be a thorn in her side depending on what trouble he's caused she mostly lets it mentally slide knowing he will (hopefully!) one day grow out of it. Tom / Gwen: While Gwen may think Tom is a cocky, arrogant little SOB she also thinks he's one hell of a pilot. She likes his ability to remain calm in hard situations when it comes to keeping the ship out of harms way and wouldn't replace him for the world if she had a choice. Now while she also sees him sort of like Kit as being a possible troublemaker, she truly knows little about him. Or his developing relationship with Fi. Drew / Gwen: This is a tricky one. She likes and respects the ships medic in more ways than one. Inwardly she's fighting her own demons about starting another relationship since the man she loved died during the War. Then here comes Drew and, well, yeah. Gwen is slightly startled by it. He is about one of the few on board she'd discuss her War experiences with. Jay / Gwen: Gwen considers everyone on the boat her family, Jay probably a little more than the others. Being the hired gun/security team on the ship she tends to do a lot more business trips and deals with him than most of the others. It's a good working relationship with a good amount of respect given toward the man. Jay is also one of the few on the ship aside from Drew and Dak who would ever hear details about her War experiences. Tobias / Gwen: She knows little about this man since he is always working with Mina. Truth be told he unnerves her a little in that sort of quiet-could-kill-you-without-a-reason sort of way. She does not consider him part of her crew since he works for Mina only though she will be quick to squash any fights between him and Jay when she can. It's hard to be there for all of them. Gwen will never give Tobias a direct order as she would her own crew. Rora / Gwen: Like Fi, Gwen considers Rora to be like a little sister. She knows that she does her job well even in the most strained of circumstances while keeping her cool which makes her respect her. While she may not be to thrilled about Rora and Jay having a relationship, she won't say a word unless it affects how the crew and ship runs. Fi / Gwen: Like Rora, Gwen considers Fi to be a little sister though the troublemaker of the two. She knows her assignments not only to the ship but partially for working intel movements for Mina and she doesn't like it. It brings trouble sometimes and puts Fi in situations that Gwen feels is not right for someone less experienced with dealing with nasties of the 'verse. Now she knows and understands Fi can hold her own in a fight, but that doesn't stop her from disapproving or worrying. Nym / Gwen: Even if Nym has been on the ship for a while she doesn't know a lot about this man from his quiet, stand alone sort of nature. She respects his abilities to use any type of computer of techy gizmo where she herself doesn't know the complete and total works of them like he does. She only wishes he'd open up to the rest of the crew a little more. Dakyn / Gwen: This is a little tricky. With him being one of her CO's during the War, she respects him and would follow his orders because the way they were trained. Oh she may not agree with them and think they are shit sometimes unless he was there to see the situation, but she'd make them work. When he was supposed to be dead then suddenly is on her ship it's a little awkward. Who follows the orders and who gives them? The War may be over but she is still loyal to a fault to her old unit. Carol / Gwen: While she may not know Carol that well, Gwen likes her. Her lighthearted, innocent nature makes the crew smile (as well as her awesome cooking!). So she is more than willing to give the girl a chance. Rod / Gwen: Now, she may not approve of his swearing, disobeying her orders, trying to get into the middle of a bar fight, and so on, she likes the kid. She wouldn't turn him lose by himself on a planet if it was the last thing in her life to do. Needless to say he has a place on the ship until he is ready to move on himself if he wants. Sidda / Gwen: Flat out the Captain doesn't know this is her sister. She will probably poke fun with some of the crew about having a Companion on board but that's about it. We'll have to see where it goes, eh? Victoria / Gwen: Gwen doesn't know much about this passenger at all though does seem to think she is a little strange. As long as Victoria can pay or provide assistance to the crew she can stay. So far. This is yet to be determined as to what kind of relationship they have. |

Anyways. I'm gonna go ahead revive this thread. Even though we're a little slow, and this thread is incredibly old. xP Eh. We can still plan things! Relationships! About Rayne... - he's basically the Cressie's go-fer. It's his job to do pretty much whatever the crew needs him to do. - most of the time, he's cheerful and has a sense of humor, - not everyone will like him though, because he can argue and he has no problem with confronting others if there's a problem - while he gets completely caught up in his music from time to time, he's fairly responsible, does his job as well as he can - he'll probably try to be useful and learn a little something about everything on the ship, things like basic first-aid stuff, a little mechanic-ing - he knows a little about piloting, definitely enough to run the ship on auto-pilot, maybe enough to survive a landing on manual - he's extremely loyal to the crew, and whoever else he cares about, and he's not afraid of showing it. Also, I've decided he's been on the ship for the last two weeks, if that's okay with you guys. So... once he gets to know them a little better, this is how I see things from Rayne's end. If you think I'm off, or insane, or if you just wanna plan something out, drop me a line! xD Cadie OMD! We sort of applied at the same time, so I kinda missed reading Cadie's profile when I was actually applying, but now I've seen it and I'm kinda excited. Rayne & Cadie are the same age, have somewhat related jobs on the ship, and they have a lot in common - they're both loyal, both friendly, both positive, both romantic, both like music. But not too much in common: Cadie's skills and interests are more widespread than Rayne's, Rayne is open and chatty, Cadie is quiet and doesn't talk about the past, she's good at keeping her cool, he's more prone to show his emotions, etc. So I think they would connect really well, given time to get to know each other. Plus, she's not a super-girly-girl, which Raynor would also like about her... we could pretty much go anywhere with these two, I think. I can see them being close, and I can see Rayne having feelings for her. We'll should have a chat about them. xD ...And, weirdly enough, I just read that her brother's name was Rayner. That is too weird! Aurora I can see Rayne being a little smitten with Rora, actually, not that he'd ever act on it or try to let on, especially with Jay around. (They still have a thing, right?) Just the fact that she's got the class of a Companion, but she's also more average and down-to-earth, not too stuffy, what with her being a mechanic and all. Drew Raynor definitely would have very few problems with Drew, and if there were any man that Rayne would look up to on the Cressida (because there's quite a few women), it would be the good Doctor. I can see Rayne liking to help Drew out with any medical stuff, and learning a little bit about a little bit. Gwen Gwen's the captain. Rayne plans on listening to her, even when he doesn't agree with her, which will probably be rare anyways. As captain, Rayne knows it was her decision to let him onboard her ship, and for that, he's grateful. He'll have a lot of respect for Gwen and what she's doing for the Independents, and would go above and beyond to make sure he does his job right by her. Jay Although Rayne wouldn't dislike Jay at first, it would probably take a while for Raynor to actually be able to honestly say that he liked the man, just because Jay's that hard-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside type. Jean Rayne would take a liking to Jean. Jean's a sweet kid, who seems like he's had a hard time. Rayne can identify with the orphan thing - he knows what it's like to not have parents around, having lost his mother, and considering his father hardly acted as a parent to him in later years - so I can see him taking on a big brother role to the only other young'un on the ship. Martha Although Raynor doesn't have the same hatred for war that Martha does, he can identify with not being a huge fan of violence and with her optimistic attitude. They'd probably get along well, and he'd probably look up to her. Not like a parent, though; more like a cool aunt. xP Fi Raynor and Fi would have a few laughs together, and while I dunno if Fi would want Raynor around all the time, he'd probably see her as an older sister - only more fun - even if he'd find her a little sketchy at times. Sidda Raynor would probably like Sidda, but I don't see them being too buddy-buddy or anything. She's a companion, he's just an eighteen-year-old go-fer on a ship. Not much there to build a relationship on... Thomas Rayne won't like Tommy. But Tommy has something Rayne wants, and that's the bridge. Not that Raynor wants to steal his job or anything. He would, however, like to learn how to fly, and to do that on board the Cressie, he's going to have to go through Tommy. I can see many a witty remark traded between the two, some joking, some not so much. Tobias Raynor would probably keep his distance from Tobias at first - the man seems too hardcore, and nothing jumps out that they'd have in common. Edited by Raynor Wilde, 14/09/2009 - 10:02 pm.

Figured I'd update this thing since we kinda have a new crew, thanks Brad for bringing it back to light. (I'm gonna kinda use your format too.) About Fi (though most of you know her by now) - Tough as nails and not afraid of anything. She doesn't show weakness (real or self perceived) - Her humor is dry, sarcastic, and biting. She will rip into anyone at any given time and is unapologetic. She is forceful, argumentative and hates to lose. - She doesn't like people and when she first meets them she can seem cold and mean. It takes a while to grow on her, but once she decides your one of hers she will have your back (though she wont stop giving them crap she'll be a little less mean) - Though most don't expect it from the petite comm officer, she is very very dangerous. She can more than hold her own in a bar fight and proves more capable than people think. From further away she's deadly. Near perfect aim that she constantly practices has made her someone to fear. - Her childhood has made her a jack of all trades. She knows a little about all sorts of shit and uses the knowledge to tease and taunts others. - She was 12 when her father joined the Independent Forces and her mom had her helping to run weapons and food and clothing and just about everything else for their troops. - After the end of the war her mother became a weapons dealer and made quite a name for herself. She was also rather highly placed in the Browncoat Underground Movement. - Fi has contacts all over the 'verse and is well known for being dangerous and keeping her word. When her mother was killed by alliance troops during a raid on Core facilities 2 years ago, Fi decided it was time to do good. She made inquiries about the Browncoat Insurgence and contacted a woman to get a job. - 2 years ago Fi was given the position of Supply and Communications Specialist. Though she has more flags than anyone else on the boat, no one questions it because she's very good at getting what they need and fixing equipment that breaks down. - The real reason she's there is because she gets information and some equipment for Miss Mina, passing along and collecting as needed. She also helps with waves and coded signals. She has full knowledge of what's going on and is completely for it. Seraphina, Fi She often seems straightforward, though she really isn't. Gwen: Fi has always had complete respect for her captain, but it's been strange since Miss Mina left. Fi had been keeping a lot of information to herself, and now she'd have to start sharing it. It was both easier and harder. She trusted Gwen and the crew, but the trust made her a little nervous. She sees the captain as a strong woman who is comfortable with her power. She enjoys tweaking Red's nose whenever possible and knows the woman has her back if she needs it. Jay: Always good for a laugh the new second in command isn't good enough for Rora, but Fi accepts that he makes the brunette happy. She respects him and enjoys his company, but still thinks it's the most fun to push his buttons. Drew: The Doc is a born flirt and Fi flirts back. It makes things more interesting now that his and Red's relationship is out in the open. She can mock that much easier. She will always have a soft spot for the man that saved her life and pretended he couldn't see her crying while he was operating. Rora: Her sister from another mister. Before Rora Fi had never had a girlfriend, but the little mechanic taught her a lot about opening up and just relaxing. The two are good at raising a little hell, Rora usually following Fi's lead though now and then it was the reverse. Fi often feels the need to protect the other girl from the harshness of the 'verse but also knows that Rora is tough. Tom: Fi's history with Tom is confusing and involved. She isn't really sure how she feels but she enjoys spending time with him and being with him. Not just for the sex, but for the comfort his presence brings. It scares her, but she can't bring herself to run away from or even label whatever it was they were. He was with her through her operations after U-Day and he helped her out often afterwords. He never said a word about her tears and she appreciated it. Tobias: Cold and tough, she has respect for the old guy. She doesn't talk to him much, but she does enjoy the way he ruffles everyone else's feathers. Sidda: Unsure how to think about the companion Fi simply avoids her or stares until she leaves. Rayner: New to the crew she gives him a lot of crap but he's growing on her. She sees him as a puppy following around and trying to learn new and interesting things, though the puppy has bite as hes proven when snapping back a few times. Makes teasing him more fun. Cadie: Once she'd made it clear that Cadie was by no means allowed in her room she'd decided to hold off on her decision about the girl. They hadn't had much interaction yet so Fi was trying not to pass judgement. Jean: Another little boy, a stowaway. Fi had adored Rod and seen him as a little brother, but she didn't want to grow attached to another little boy that was simply going to walk away without a word. He was cute but she didn't want to get close to him. Martha: She doesn't trust the tall beautiful woman. Martha simply rubs her the wrong way and she talks with Tom far too easily, sitting with him and getting him to open up. A tiny part of her admitted to jealousy, but she beat that thought down and simply went on disliking the woman. |

- Jean is a good-natured orphan, a new member of the Cressida’s crew. He tries to do whatever he can to help because he likes helping others, especially those who would take him in to their home, though his size and age limit the amount of things he can actually do. - He tends to give off the feeling that he is nervous or a little sad when he is around others, even when there is no reason for him to feel upset. He can be distant too, because of the way he had to grow up. - Sometimes the opposite is true as well, though it is only when he feels comfortable enough. - He is shy and tries to make sure that he does not get in anyone’s way. However, some people may not take a liking to him because he is sort of a stowaway. - Jean may just be a young kid but he is actually a very compassionate person. He cannot stand to see the people that he loves upset and is interested in hearing them talk about their feelings, if they are willing to. - He is not sure if the crew really approves of him being on the ship, so he stays quiet a lot and may hide behind Martha or someone if he feels threatened or if he has done something wrong by accident. - The boy loves mechanical things and will probably end up ‘spying’ on Aurora when she is working on the engine and other things involving the Cressida’s workings. - He just came onto the Cressida when Martha was moving her things and getting herself settled in. Adrian Fox Jean would probably look up to Adrian a bit. The fact that he knows a lot about machines would be of interest to the boy as well. He may even regard the man as a bit of a father figure too, because like Adrian, Jean’s father was also a mechanic, even though he can’t remember that on a conscious level. Arcadia (Cadie) Jean would probably like Cadie and try to make friends. There is a chance that he might develop a sort of a crush on her, since he is a young preteen and she is still a teenager. To her he might become a younger brother type, possibly annoying her and the like. Aurora Jean would probably end up gravitating towards the engine room while Aurora is working. Her being the ship’s main mechanic and all, he would probably peek in and watch how she fixes problems with the engine. His shyness will most likely prevent him from actually stepping into the engine room, rather he will just watch while hiding behind the doorframe in the hallway. He likes her, he likes everyone really, but he doesn’t know how she feels about him since he recently came aboard the Cressida. Drew Jean isn’t exactly sure what a doctor is and there wouldn’t really be much of a reason for him to not like Drew. He would most likely be respectful to the doctor, same as he is with the rest of the crew. Gwen Jean respects Gwen, the captain of the ship that will get him off of Persephone. He likes her, and doesn’t think that she really minds his being there. She cares a lot about her crew and he thinks that is an honorable thing. If Gwen orders/asks him to do something, he will probably do the task with few questions asked. Jay Jean probably wouldn’t mind Jay, regardless of how tough he acts. In fact, he’ll probably end up liking him. The man didn’t seem to really dislike him when they first ‘met’, unless that was just because he didn’t notice Jean, the boy isn’t sure. However, there’s still a chance that the boy might get a little nervous around him from time to time, but it’s nothing personal really, he’s likely to be that way around most of the crew. Martha Jean already feels as if he is rather close to Martha. She’s the only reason why he is still on the Cressida, if it weren’t for her trying to cover for him he probably would’ve booked it. He will most likely look up to her as a mother figure, him being a kid who lacks a mother and her being a nice lady who never got to have children of her own. If a time comes when he feels scared, he’ll probably end up hiding behind Martha for comfort. Rayne Jean would probably look up to Rayne as a sort of older brother. He’s never had any siblings, at least not that he can remember, so he would be happy to have that sort of relationship with someone. And since Rayne is still sort of a kid too, he’d be the most likely candidate. Jean might even end up following him around a bit, so that he can do his share of helping out aboard the Cressida too; that is, when Rayne is doing random jobs around the ship, Jean would be asking if he could help and probably get in the way. Though his taste for music isn’t like that of the older teen, he would prefer the sound of machines over a guitar. Seraphina (Fi) Fi scares Jean… at least when they first met she did. So, he is pretty sure she doesn’t like him and even though he normally tries to not get into anyone’s way, he will try harder to not get in hers. Sidda Jean would probably like Sidda and be respectful towards her like he tries to be with everyone. He doesn’t really know what a companion is so he’d probably be curious about her job, also, if he hears someone mention it. Thomas Jean would probably like Tom. But since the boy isn’t particularly used to real social interaction, he’ll probably end up feeling more hurt than he should over something that Tom just feels like speaking his mind about; that is, if what the pilot says is something about Jean or someone that he has become close to. There is also a chance that the boy might wander up to the bridge to see the stars and ask Tom what he’s up to. You see, he’s very much used to being able to see the stars at night, no matter how good or bad the pollution on Persephone was. Tobias Jean would respect Tobias. If he’s living on this ship, the Cressida, as a part of their business, whatever that may be, then he must be a good guy too. Edited by Jean Howlett, 21/09/2009 - 12:27 am.
