Name: Rachel
Contact: LOSTclrintchick (AIM), TheLostAndWickedGirl@yahoo.com, zalith@hotmail.com (email)
Age: 19
Major: Pre-Pharmacy
Fandoms: Any of Joss's works, DragonLance, Harry Potter, The Office, Scrubs, Doctor Who, Dungeons and Dragons (version one), musicals (Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd, RENT, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, Grease, The Producers, West Side Story... just to name a few... right now, I've been listening to the music from Seussical because my high school back home just did that), Twilight, and others
Characters: Thomas Fisher, Delaney Shaw, Charity Devonshire
Roleplaying: I started officially roleplaying (not on the computer, with paper on the table and such) when I was twelve in a campaign of Version one Dungeons and Dragons. My parents had played the same campaign (well at least my dad) for over 25 years and I was allowed to join when I was 12. After that, around that age, I roleplayed on neopets and at fifteen, I was on a board loosely based on the movie Cruel Intentions. That was the first big online board I had been on.
Favorite Firefly Characters: hm... this is a hard one. I liked them all but I really liked Jayne
Shameless Geekdom: I write fanfiction. I am also addicted to youtube and watching movies by EvilIguanaProductions all the way! D&D would probably be pretty geeky as well but I grew up in a house that went to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire before I was born. Dungeons and Dragons would go under this as well (I play a 10th level Illusionist, a 5th level ranger, and a 1st level Thief. My illusionist character is married to another illusionist and they have a set of twins and another child after that)

So, I'm pretty much a big geek. I'm in love with music and I can play the clarinet, baritone, and trombone (along with some trumpet). I am constantly listening to music or watching television or movies. That's about it for now!

Jesus, woman! You're four years younger than me and are trained in three instruments? Alright, I confess, I might be just a little jealous on that point.

Dude, Clarinet Players Rock!!! Yeah, I play it as well. I wish I could play brass because I adore the trombone. I do play the Stand up Bass though!!! I like Jazz instruments *shrugs*

How afraid are you that they're going to completely mess up the Wicked Movie?

Yeah, they do rock! I've been playing clarinet since I was ten.
I learned how to play brass because I wanted to play the saxophone in seventh grade but my parents wouldn't buy me a sax so I learned to play on my brother's trumpet and moved over to baritone a few weeks after that and fell in love with that.
I wanted to play in jazz so I had to learn how to play the trombone two years ago.
Stand up bass? That's awesome!

I played in concert band, marching band, jazz band, and pit orchestra in high school but now I'm in college, I'm too busy being a science major. I miss it, though.

I'm totally afraid they are going to wreck the movie! I really want the opportunity to actually see it on Broadway (I've watched a version of the Broadway musical on youtube and I've read the book) before the come out with the movie (whenever that will be).

There is a movie coming out? Huh, I didn't know that. Is it based on the book or the musical? Because, if I'm honest... I didn't like the book that much (strange for an English major! I just didn't like the style much is the only problem). I like the play, though.

I read somewhere that I think it is going to be based on the musical and be a musical movie.
I don't think they've released who is playing who and that is what I really want to know.

Woot for The Producers. Haven't actually seen the movie, just saw the stage production and it was friggin' amazing. Hilarious. Loved it. Also woo for D&D and band geekiness. Especially jazz band. I can see me missing it next year, too, when I'm no longer into the whole band scene. It's gonna be sad...

And I'm not so gifted as to be able to handle three instruments (at least, not well). So I'm gonna jump on the jealous bandwagon with Steph on that one. XP

I've decided this needs an update, it's been over a year and I'm not playing Charity anymore, so I'm going to do an update in another post instead of just logging on as Charity and changing it.

I'm now twenty as of March 20th. It's no different than nineteen, but I think I had a crisis when I was turning twenty. I was freaking out four hours before my birthday.

I'm changing my major from pre-pharmacy to occupational therapy. I work in a pharmacy and I know that is not what I want to do.

For a while, I had been watching Sailor Moon again and now, my former roommate got me addicted to One Piece. If you are into manga/anime and haven't heard of it, you should look it up! It is completely awesome. There is a lot of chapters, but I sped through all 589 chapters in two months and it comes out weekly. I love it so much. It's about pirates and the crew is just amazing and I could just gush continuously on the subject, but I don't think you want to hear this fan girl rant and rant about it (especially about the latest chapter)! I'd never thought I'd be reading manga, but now that I am, I enjoy it!

I'm also addicted to Glee. I'm such a huge geek.

I think that is all that is new about me!

I also made a livejournal *facepalm* I know that they're old and probably too many people don't have them anymore... but, if you want and have one, you can be my friend (wow... that didn't sound creepy at all). My roommate got me to make one so we could communicate about One Piece over the summer. I find it a place to rant a bit, seeing as there are too many people on facebook for me to do that. livejournal
