A Company To Trust
|
For those of you aboard the Cressida looking to have a nice, quite place to chat up about possible storylines, future locations, character pasts and relations, or anything else you might be thinking to stick in here. Well, now you've got the empty space, so you best not be letting it go to waste.

So, I have a few vague ideas in terms of plot, but they might require a bit more membership before they kick off. Better to start with some character introductions, I think. I'm Christian Sawyer (who goes mostly by Sawyer, I figure, although friends might call him Kit) as well as Wilhelmina Spencer-Dai, whom you may address as Lady Spencer-Dai or or, as Kit does, Miss Mina. I figure that Cressida was out for about four years before Miss Mina came along a year or so ago. Kit probably came around and started as a cargo handler, and worked his way up to First Mate. So he's been a staple on Cressida for a while, maybe since he was 17 or so. As for Mina, of course she's only been here for about a year. |

Plots are always fun even if they are vague. Ok, so I play Thomas Fisher (not his real name but no one else knows that) and he goes by Thomas or Tom. He's the pilot and rather cocky. As for when he came on the ship, I would say maybe a year and half ago or two years. He could have started out as a co-pilot and then original pilot left (or something) and he took over full time. I don't really know because I didn't flesh out how long he's been on Cressida. That was just the idea that popped up in my tired mind. |

Ha, don't feel bad. I hadn't really thought about it so much, either. But I thought I'd bring it up, as it might help people figure out how to act when they started to thread. You know, by giving them some idea how long they'd been around each other and the dynamic they were use to. Like, seeing as Kit has been here so long, he doesn't like Miss Mina's presence, as he is use to just having the captain above him and now here is this lady and even if she is a Browncoat, she ain't his captain. I'm just making most of this up, but it sounds pretty enough. ETA: Our icons, they almost match! Well, expect Kit's managed to keep his shirt on.

Yeah, I understand. I know I like to have it all thought out so I know how my character will act. I hate not having discussed with the person beforehand the relationship of our characters. So right now, I think I'm going to go what I put in my post above and if I have a better thought, I'll change it. The icon thing, haha, I didn't even notice but now that you point it out, that's pretty funny. |

It's always awkward when your characters are suppose to have known each other for years and then you start role-playing and it's like "... Wait, how am I suppose to act with you?" Things running smoothly is always nice, although with the plans I've got in mind, I think there is a bit of a bumpy road ahead for all involved. |

Allo allo. I know, I should be writing a reply, but I'm busy doing funness on youtube. ![]() Hmmmmmmm....well, Rora could've been there for any amount of time, really. I'd say one to two years, though. She's a good secret-keeper. Her being a former companion and all that.*dances* I'm along for any ride you nice gentlemen may have in mind.

I play Seraphina Grant, Fi to those who know better. Except maybe Miss Mina. I dunno, she doesn't exactly seem the type to use nicknames *shrug* Fi's been on the Cressida about a year. She's sarcastic and has the ability to get anyone, anything, and usually for a fair price. At least if she likes you. Fi is very good at a lot of shady things and doesn't like to tell people what all she can do. Makes things more interesting that way. Fi gets into scrapes, but is usually able to get herself back out again. Anything you boys want to get into, Fi can be right there with you. Including pretending to be a sweet and innocent diversion. Verbal Cat fights? Yes. Often in fact, Fi enjoys that kind of thing. Physical? Probably not all that often. I'm thinking the people on the ship are her surrogate family and Rora is likely to be an irritating little cousin that she'll gladly argue with, but woe to those who try to mess with her 'cause Fi will have their ass. |

Excuse me? I feel we are underestimating Kit's annoying younger brother qualities here. If anyone gets the annoying younger family member position, then Kit is first in line. And if he isn't he'll whine and pout and possibly beat someone up until he gets it. So there. |

And time for the newest addition to tag in! I play Gwendolyn- you can call her Cap, Gwen, Mac, or even Kenzie. She don't rightly care as long as it's somethin'. Figure she's been around the ship for about two years now having started off as something quite possibly other than Captain before getting the shiny badge promotion. The crew is her family and she respects them... but if there is a problem she doesn't have any qualms stepping in and setting things back right. Job first and personal problems second. Her door is also always open to anyone who needs her. Just.. make sure you knock first?

I'm sorry, Ms. MacKenzie, but you did say you wanted a puppy dog of a first mate following you around, correct? Well, congratulations, then, that is exactly what you're getting with Kit! He believes what his brother had taught him, and Josh said you should always honor and respect your captain so that is exactly what Kit does (if honor and respect are akin to hero worship). I'm not sure how you want to play her and Miss Mina's relationship, keeping in mind that Miss Mina might be her boss, but up until recently Gwen would have had full control of the ship. Then, out of no where, her boss shows up and decides she is sticking around. |

Hahah! Well, we'll see just how much she's able to keep her temper with the big boss around. Normally Gwen is the type of person who will try to talk someone out of an, ah, interesting situation if they are trying to put them into one. Or find a way to deal with it all- whatever comes about first. So she'll probably be grinding her teeth a lot with her about. As for Kit? It's going to be interesting! She's the sort that gets the point of trying to get him trained to eventually become a captain himself. Lots of things could go wrong and she wants him to be ready when/if that happens.

Oh Oh. My turn. Yay. I play Carol Wessex, Cressida's cook. She doesn't really have a nickname, well her siblings did dub her Carol Wessex, Kitchen Queen and that is how she acts in the kitchen. She has just joined the crew of the Cressida while they were docked at the station. She is bright and cheery and bouncy. She tends to have a lot of energy and loves flirting(playfully not seriously) and joking around. She has an older brother who works for the Spencer-Dai company and he has access to the schedules of the different ships of the company so he often arranges for packages to be left for her at their next destination. This means she is able to get her hands on things that would not always be available where they are going, life a little bit of extra fresh food... and lollipops. On the outside she is open with everyone. A real open book. But she rarely lets anyone in on what is going on on the inside. Shes recently had some real bad things happen to her that no one on the ship would know about(from her at least.) She is used to being crowded because her parents tend to have twins and so she has lots of siblings. So she likes noise and people to be around. |

I suppose I should post...as my Captain has ordered it. *snark* My name is Zach - I play Jay Andhek who is the Cressi's hired gun. Want to know who my character is...think Jayne and you are pretty much there. ![]() There will be differences in there...but his mannerisms are similar. He has been around the ship for about a year and a half now and the crew is his family. Somethin' needs protectin'...hes your guy. Former platoon Sgt. and former former Alliance soldier. He knows his way around many a weapon. A heavily modified G-36 with under barrel grenade launcher, customized double hair trigger and Blinder(TM) laser sight is "his very favorite gun." Her name is Alice...touch it and die. ![]() He is also single.......
