I do not expect you to be able to memorize all the information here. It is for you to look at should you need it, and in no way needs to be fully ready in your memory at all times. No pop quizzes on this information, that much I promise. Although I would suggest at least glancing over the planet you pick to live on/come from so you don't pick, say, an uninhabitable gas giant.

[title]Worlds & Systems[/title]

This information was taken from the official 'verse maps. The information for individual planets, however, was either constructed from canon or else a complete lie.

You'll notice that in many cases, planet information is not listed. These blank slate planets allow members to get creative with the planet system. If you do create information, we'd be pleased as anything if you'd PM it so we can add onto the list.

Key:
Planet/Moon: A terraformed and livable world.
Planet/Moon: A world that is uninhabitable or has not yet been fully terraformed.
Planet/Moon: A quarantined world.
Planet: An unlivable giant, gaseous ball.
Protostar: A 'star' not yet formed.

White Sun System

System: White Sun
Classification: Core
Capital Planets: Londinium, Sihnon
Population: 39.5 Billion
Composition: 2 Protostars, 0 Gas Giants, 14 worlds, 26 moons
Sun: Bai Hu
Worlds: Albion (Moon: Avalon), Ariel (Moons: Aripolis, Poseidon, Shiva), Bellerophon (Moons: Parth, Tyrins, Xanthus), Bernadette (Moons: Nautilus, Spinrad), Gonghe (Moons: Xing Yu), Liann Juin (Moons: Tiantan, Fu), Londinium (Moons: Colchest, Balkerne), Osiris (Moons: Epeuva, Tannhauser), Sihnon (Moons: Airen, Xiansheng, Xiaojie), Rubicon, Valentine (Moons: Chons, Selene)
Protostar: Lux
Worlds: Pelorum (Moon: Kaleidoscope), Persephone (Moons: Hades, Renao)
Protostar: Qin Shi Huang
Worlds: Santo (Moons: New Luxor, Tethys)

Bai Hu

[planet]Albion[/planet]
Capital: Gia
Moon: Avalon
Cortex: As close to Earth-That-Was as possible, that's sort of Albion's motto. The creators didn't have much to go on - after all they'd spent their life in a space ship - but they tried to recreate the same world they saw in their great-grandparents photos and videos, and what they ended up with is a good impression or imitation, but not exactly right.

[blockquote][planet]Avalon[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Ariel[/planet]
Capital: Cassio
Moons: Aripolis, Poseidon, Shiva
Cortex: Ariel is a highly industrialized planet with a sky full of ships, buildings, and billboards. Most entertainment and media is produced on Ariel, with the city of Yulin being something of a modern version of Hollywood from Earth-That-Was. Ariel is mainly famed in the 'verse for two things: it's medical facilities and it's food. It has some of the finest hospitals this side of the solar system, and even better restaurants. Leading to what some joke should be their motto: Come here to eat and die.

[blockquote][planet]Aripolis[/planet]
Capital: Remolo
Cortex: No, you never will get the chance to see the beauty of Earth-That-Was. but at least you can see Aripolis. Etched with rivers flowing through the cities and across the world, Aripolis was built in a style that reminded someone of home, a home that had once been Venice, Italy. Of course, seeing as they had been born in a spaceship, Aripolis isn't exactly accurate, but they did what they could given the sketches they had. the feds keep an eye on this little gem, less for it's delightful appearance and more to do with the major banking systems on world.

[planet]Poseidon[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Shiva[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Bellerophon[/planet]
Capital: None
Moons: Parth, Tyrins, Xanthus
Cortex: Bellerphon is a world in it's own right, sure, but it's hardly anything you'd visit. An escape for the wealthy not wishing to have neighbors, each estate in Bellerophon hovers above the planet's pristine ocean. Only people here are the wealthy and the people they get to work for them.

[blockquote][planet]Parth[/planet]
Capital: Nara
Cortex: Not every world under the white sun is so perfect. Parth is pretty far out from the center, but that doesn't matter. There is no excuse for having such a large slave trade on a planet suppose to be under the direct watch of the Alliance. The problem is with all of Parth's huge cities, giant buildings shadowing the streets, it's hard to keep up with everything that happens there.

[planet]Tyrins[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Xanthus[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Bernadette[/planet]
Capital: Ausparis
Moons: Nautilus, Spinrad
Cortex: Known to be a fine stop for those off to the border worlds, the ship docks are full of shops and slave traders, sometimes it's hard to tell which you're talking to. Of course, then there are places like Ausparis with the Prometheus rising up in her sky line - a symbol of the flight to these new worlds, the achievement of the human mind. It is the only surviving ship from the exodus of Earth and dwarfs the rest of the city in her shadow. The city itself is so filled with so many restaurants, theaters, and museums one would hardly believe it shared the same air with the settlers down at the docks.

[blockquote][planet]Nautilus[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Spinrad[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Gonghe[/planet]
Capital: Ni-Tokyo
Moon: Xing Yu
Cortex: Sihnon is often considered the central planet to visit for a more eastern cultural experience but in truth, just because Gonghe isn't quite as nice does not mean they not worth the visit. With less regulations than Sihnon, Gonghe attracts a different sort of person, perhaps, but they're still a core planet for all their less than reputable business dealings, and still just as stunning a world. Far more urban and modern than the beautifully elegant world of Sihnon, Gonghe is filled with flashing lights and buildings that stretch into the sky so far that they can say you can nearly see Earth-That-Was from their peaks. Life here is frenzied but for those who can keep up well worth the fast pace.

[blockquote][planet]Xing Yu[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Liann Juin[/planet]
Capital: Kilgore
Moons: Tiantan, Fu
Cortex: Perhaps not as active as it's other core worlds, don't count Liann Juin out entirely. It is still quite the place to visit, better yet to stay. Thriving from the business of those just on their way off or to some of the more well known core worlds, Liann Juin stays alive with business dealings and their own version of fun at night. It also houses one of the finest flight schools in the 'verse, though being a student there is made all the rougher when in such close proximity of one of the best pleasure centers this side of... anywhere, really.

[blockquote][planet]Tiantan[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Fu[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Londinium[/planet]
Capital: New Cardiff
Moons: Balkerne, Colchester
Terraforming Ended: 2220, 99.8% success
Mass: 12.10 x 10^21 tonnes
Mean Diameter: 18,000 km
Atmosphere: N2/O2/CO2/H2O
Population: 4.51 billion

Mandatory Trade Registration: Cargo must be logged with the Bureau of Weights and Measures; exceptions are classified Union of Allied Planets (UAP) and tagged Blue Sun cargo.

Cortex: As the first viable candidate for terraforming, Londinium represented a great hope for human civilization. As the seat of Parliament, Londinium continues to be an anchor for human civilization today.

Londinium is the single largest consumer of manufactured goods and foodstuffs in Allied space. It is also one of the largest producers of certain goods, including Cortex hardware and advanced electronics.

Traffic to and from the planet is heavily regulated. Most trade and civilian vessels cannot approach large population centers without proper clearance from Orbital Security, Global Airspace Control and local administrators. Military vessels operate under a separate mandate and, although also regulated, move with relative freedom throughout Londinium's air space. Special dispensation is also granted for governmental, diplomatic, and some Blue Sun vessels.

As with other major worlds, Londinium occasionally cordons off small blackout zones where illegal activity has suddenly escalated or it's suspected there may be a large criminal element.

Londinium was founded on a strong western front, reflected in it's Gothic architecture meant to replicate that of the old city of London. It is home to the strong force of the Allied government, with the house of parliament sitting in Roma, along with many of the ministry buildings. Although popular with tourist (not only for her architecture, also for her Museum of History and Art and her Earth-That-Was replication theaters - Londinium may not be the center of culture the way Sihnon is, but she has plenty of interest) Londinium is largely a No Fly zone and any ship too close to government areas will be shot down without warning. It is patrolled by the I.A.V. Victoria - a space station that keeps in orbit around Londinium at all times.

[blockquote][planet]Balkerne[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Colchester[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Osiris[/planet]
Capital: Capital City
Population Classification: Urban
Moons: Epeuva, Tannhauser
Additional Notes: Not as busy as Londinum, nor as expensive and decedent as Sihnon, Osiris falls somewhere in between. It is the symbol of law and justice in the Alliance, with the High Courts residing in a pyramid shaped building at the center of Capital City. Osiris has fine academies and schools as well, including the College of Law at The University of Osiris - best in the 'verse. They're also home to the Blue Sun Corporations, said to be harder to get into than most prisons are to escape from. No place is perfect, though Osiris tries. They have made more than a few sections 'blackout zones' after curfew trying to cut back on the crimes happening right under lady Justice's nose.

[blockquote][planet]Epeuva[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Tannhauser[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Sihnon[/planet]
Capital: Lu'Weng
Moons: Airen, Xiansheng, Xiaojie
Cortex: There is a softness to Sihnon even from space, a red glow that radiates from her. She is even lovelier, if possible, from on the ground. The buildings here almost look organic - just as stunning in every way as the planet they sit on. Eastern influences are heavy here: from fashion to culture to dress. And there is so much culture in Sihnon, all sorts of arts are practiced and perfected here. Sihnon is not as closed off and industrialized as Londinum but instead a more open, enjoyable place but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty of business about. Nearly every guild has it's headquarters here, including the Companion Guild who has founded many a temple and house over the planet.

[blockquote][planet]Airen[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Xiansheng[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Xiaojie[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---
[/blockquote]

[dead]Rubicon[/dead]
Cortex: Unterraformed/Uninhabitable.

[planet]Valentine[/planet]
Capital: Demeter
Moons: Chons, Selene
Cortex: Sometimes called the beating heart of the Alliance, Valentine is often simply called the home planet. Perhaps not for you, but for millions of other families who live here. The planet itself is wonderfully breathtaking, with sunsets that are said to capture the imagination and make you fall in love. The very ground seems tinted in a faint glow, and the world always seems to be sighing (or beating, as some say, although in actuality this is the underground water system bubbling within the planet). There may not be much interesting here, however, as it is mainly known for it's suburban lifestyle and family homes.

[blockquote][planet]Chons[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Selene[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

Lux

[planet]Pelorum[/planet]
Capital: None
Moon: Kaleidoscope
Cortex: Perhaps you are thinking, well, I have all these wonderful credits, but what should I do with them? Why not visit Pelorum, playground of the 'verse! The sun always shines on Pelorum, from our own beautiful protostar of Lux to the mythical beauty of Bai Hu! Pelorum has some of the finest dinning, beaches, and hotels of any world. Oh, plus a slave trade that could put any other to shame. So why not come by and enjoy life in the true lap of luxury?

[blockquote][planet]Kaleidoscope[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Persphone[/planet]
Capital: Eavesdown
Moons: Hades, Renao
Cortex: The alliance claims that they have even out the playing field. Must be they've never been to Persephone. The planet is highly polarized, with the wealthy aristocratic class thinking themselves nearly core-breed, while 98% of the world is left working their asses off to get by. Of course, Persphone has plenty of places to do that, with businesses and farms, ranches and factories. The main sight, though, is Eavesdown Docks, one of the busiest in the 'verse and always alive with ships, trade, and a crook or two looking for an unwatched pocket. The feds are trying to keep a closer watch, but with all the ships landing there every day, there is only so much the poor boys can do. As a result, there isn't a business you can think of that doesn't take place somewhere on these docks.

[blockquote][dead]Hades[/dead]
Cortex: Unterraformed/Uninhabitable.

[planet]Renao[/planet]
Capital: Sichuan
Cortex: As it's name suggests, or would if you knew Mandarin, Renao is a planet or crowds and noise and liveliness. Everything is just so alive and active. the whole planet seems to be swallowed into one giant, never ending expanse of city life. It is much more modern in appearance and social spheres than it's mother's planet.[/blockquote]

Qin Shi Huang

[planet]Santos[/planet]
Capital: Lilla
Moons: New Luxor, Tethys
Cortex: Santos is a wonder to behold. The sort of planet that would make those on Earth-That-Was jealous, the kind of beauty usually only found in paintings. And once upon a time, it was prized for this. As a place to go and just take in the wonders of nature through the technology of terraforming. A place of hope for what other planets may one day be like. Of course, then the war happened and... Well, while some may argue that good came from it, certainly no good came for Santos. The resorts were abandoned when people got too scared to travel so deep into independent territory. So the casinos, they found another way to earn money. Sure, the wealthy and privileged may be disinclined to visit, but the middle class is as good as any and credits are credits. Santos much more resembles an eighteen and over playground now, but certain business people don't mind so much as long as they're making enough to pay off the feds and keep them off planet.

Red Sun System

System: Red Sun
Classification: Border
Capital Planet: Jiangyin
Population: 3.5 Billion
Composition: 2 Protostars, 0 Gas Giant, 15 Planets, 29 Moons
Sun: Zhi Que
Worlds: Anson's World (Moons: Spider, Steele, Varley), Greenleaf (Moons: Agyar, Byson's Rock, Dyton), Harvest (Moons: Farraday, Higgins' Moon), Jiangyin (Moons: Dangun, Rhilidore, Tongyi), Jubilee (Moon: Covenant), New Melbourne (Moons: Destiny, Maria), St. Albans (Moon: Pi Gu)

Worlds: Lazarus (Moon: Dora), Silverhold (Moon: Beggar's Tin), Triumph (Moon: Mycroft), Paquin (Moons: Clawthorn, Shinbone)
Protostar: Himinbjorg
Worlds: Aesir (Moons: Barr, Bestia, Odin), Anvil (Moon: Hammer), Brisingamen (Moons: Alberich, Beowolf, Freya), Moab (Moons: Red Rock, Mesa)

Zhi Que

[planet]Anson's World[/planet]
Capital: ---
Moons: Spider, Steele, Varley
Cortex: ---

[blockquote][planet]Spider[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Steele[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Varley[/planet]
Capital: Bayou
Cortex: We're not going to come out and call it the whore house of the 'verse, but it's something like that. At the very least, Varley is home to one of the largest Companion training homes out on the border, and (although not legal) there are plenty of unlicensed types around as well. They're best known for their annual 'Love Festivity', an almost carnival like day in which 'love' is celebrated at a very steep price.[/blockquote]

[planet]Greenleaf[/planet]
Capital: Reuels
Moons: Agyar, Byson's Rock, Dyton
Cortex: It's a jungle out there, which is all well and good enough for certain medical companies that have nearly taken over Greenleaf. With all the vegetation that seems to have taken to Greenleaf, there is plenty for scientist to find out there in the thick jungles that swallow this planet whole. Plenty to lose, as well, with the layer upon layer of trees making hiding damn easy if you need to. With the feds finally taking interest in all the drug running coming off this planet, certain folks have plenty of need to start hiding, though it hasn't hurt their sells to much.

[blockquote][planet]Agyar[/planet]
Capital: Prithvion
Cortex: Every now and then, it's nice to see a planet where things seem to be going right. Agyer may not be some big old trade center, but she produces enough to keep herself and neighbors from starving and to keep herself in fairly good condition as well. Agyar might be a good example of paradise to some. Enough of the alliance influence to keep them safe, help them out when there is a bad drought or the like, but not enough to ruin all their fun and over govern them. They're just a small little planet in a good, good place. Just too bad there ain't more places like her in this 'verse.

[planet]Byson's Rock[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Dyton[/planet]
Capital: Mauls
Cortex: Settled heavily by British, Irish, Welsh, and even a few Scottish settlers (although mostly Irish, who were not at all happy to have the British settlers come in on their lands AGAIN). Dyton is a fairly broken place. After a civil war of their own, they had to get swallowed into the unification war and, well, while they might have not been a major strategic point, war will have it's tole. The whole place is sort of broken down, much like the parts of London-That-Was you would rather avoid at night, only covering most a planet. It's been the goal of many a kid to get off that rock.[/blockquote]

[planet]Harvest[/planet]
Capital: ---
Moons: Farraday, Higgin's Moon
Cortex: ---

[blockquote][planet]Farraday[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Higgin's Moon[/planet]
Capital: Canton Settlement
Cortex: They say Higgins won this world in a card game. Pretty good win, actually, though he wouldn't have thought so at the time. He turned this place around, got the indentured workers and the system all set up. With him at the realm, this little moon started to make some money. Or, well, at least he did. Now the workers, they're rather stuck in the mud, if you don't mind me saying (they do. Just try that one around them, see how many limbs you lose). Don't see any of that extra money Higgins has been making, just mud, mud, and more mud.[/blockquote]

[planet]Jiangyin[/planet]
Capital: Morganel
Moons: Dangun, Rhilidore, Tongyi
Cortex: A simple little place, largely ignored by just about everyone. Jiangyin mostly takes care of itself, doesn't export much, doesn't see the alliance. They just keep up producing enough to keep themselves going, run their own towns and stay out of everyone else's business, even if it is just the next town over. Sure, it's hardly a paradise but for the most part their good, simple people and like it that way. Course they would prefer if people stopped getting snatched but, hey, these things happen. Nothing they can do about it, now is there?

[blockquote][planet]Dangun[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Rhilidore[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Tongyi[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Jubilee[/planet]
Capital: Yovel
Moon: Covenant
Cortex: Built as a settlement for those forgiven of their debts to society, the original plans for Jubliee were actually quite sweet. After they've worked off their indentured servitude or spent their times in a lock down, a person could move out here and the community would set them up a place to live, eat, and work. And... And, well, actually, it all went pretty well considering what you have. They take care of each other, watch out for one another and for the community. Course, you wouldn't want to live their if you didn't like the constant prayer and sense of togetherness, and they don't have a lot in the way of modern wonders, but at least they're trying to rough it after things have already been so rough on them.

[blockquote][dead]Convenant[/dead]
Cortex: Unterraformed/Uninhabitable.[/blockquote]

[planet]New Melbourne[/planet]
Capital: Mazu
Moons: Destiny, Maria
Cortex: In many ways like Newhall but with plenty more land and the smell of fish always hovering in the air. New Melbourne isn't one big ocean, but it certainly has it's fair share of seas, lakes, and puddles. And anywhere there is water, you're sure to see people fishing. It's good money, especially on a planet that is positioned so perfectly in the border, a good place for most ships to stop and refuel and maybe pick up some food while they're down on solid ground. What isn't filled with water is filled with cities and factories, leaving New Melbourne a center of - if not exactly culture, at least something social.

[blockquote][planet]Destiny[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Maria[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]St. Albans[/planet]
Capital: Ford
Moon: Pi Gu
Cortex: Small, cold, ain't much to see on such a place. St. Albans is for the hearty, both body and soul. Most people there make a living mining, though they don't do as well as Regina by no account (course, they don't have Bowden's, either, so perhaps that's worth something). a few scattered towns lay this way and that across the landscape, most of it covered in snow.

[blockquote][planet]Pi Gu[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

Heilin

[planet]Lazarus[/planet]
Capital: Bethany
Moon: Dora
Cortex: You don't get much in the way of urban out on the rim, and your very last chance to see such things in a long while might just be Lazarus. Something like a giant space port, Lazarus seems to function mostly as a stop over between the core and where ever else people might be going. It's a good gig that keeps him from sinking too far, even when the other planets are suffering drought or famine or what have you.

[blockquote][planet]Dora[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Paquin[/planet]
Capital: Apollon
Moons: Clawthorn, Shinbone
Cortex: In the mood for a little entertainment? It doesn't matter what kind, Paquin is sure to find you something. Originally home to the Grand Opera House (all it takes is one look at the amazing sunsets seen from the planet to understand why someone would want to build a tribute to the muses here), culture just sort of sprung up on this planet the way grass grows on others. And while it may not have the refined taste of Sihnon, Paquin has something better: everything. Theater, museums, movies, music, clubs, anything you may consider fun, someone is sure to have built it up here. and, yes, there are plenty of scary things in the dark that might bump up against you, but the risk is worth it to spend just one day in this wonderland.

[blockquote][planet]Clawthorn[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Shinbone[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Silverhold[/planet]
Capital: Hutchson
Moons: Beggar's Tin
Cortex: A nice little planet, not too far from most border worlds. Sure, it ain't a paradise, but it's not exactly an inferno. They have some farms, couple ranches, a few things that even look like cities proper. It's a good place for a simple life, a lot like Earth-That-Was some people say. Maybe not so crammed full, but they got just a little bit of everything, and they make do rather well.

[blockquote][planet]Beggar's Tin[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Triumph[/planet]
Capital: None
Moons: Mycroft
Cortex: There are but a few scattered settlements all over Triumph, each one content to keep to themselves. Most of them different and the same in a way you can't quite say. Each little town as it were, founded by some one or another just looking to be left alone for whatever their reasons except, of course, when they're going and starting some sort of fight. At least they don't have to deal too much with the rest of the 'verse. Ain't too many people looking to drag themselves all the way out here.

[blockquote][planet]Mycroft[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

Himinbjorg

[planet]Aesir[/planet]
Capital: Vanir
Moons: Barr, Bestia, Odin
Cortex: Most worlds that get terraformed turned mostly to land. A few turn more water based and when that happens it is usually fishing and tourism that fuel their economy. Aesir has the water, and they certainly do like fishing, but they seem to have missed any opportunity at bringing in tourism when they took to raiding incoming ships. The fjords maybe beautiful, but they're hardly the soft beaches those core-breed rich girls and boys want to see. Fine by the people of Aesir, anyway. They rather like having their own little planet, mostly Norse in origin as far as settlers to it's rocky and cold cliffs go. They're a friendly bunch, too except, well, in part known for looting anyone who comes near enough to their space.

[blockquote][planet]Barr[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: The only thing you'll find on Barr is the Iskellkian Company, official builder of alliance ships and cruisers. Everything from space stations to the smallest escape pods, they do it all. Occupied mainly by workers and feds with their families. They have a strict no landing policy unless you're alliance or getting yourself a job and, hey, who wants to put themselves in the fed's hands, anyway?

[planet]Bestia[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]Odin[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/b][/u][/blockquote]

[dead]Anvil[/dead]
Moons: Hammer
Cortex: Unterraformed/Uninhabitable.

[blockquote][dead]Hammer[/dead]
Cortex: Unterraformed/Uninhabitable.[/blockquote]

[planet]Brisingamen[/planet]
Capital: Heime
Moons: Alberich, Beowolf, Freya
Cortex: Like Aesir, Brisingamen is known for their Scandavian influences. Unlike Aesir, Brisingamen is less water and more mountain, which turns out to have worked quite well. Their are many a volcano on the world, and plenty of metals and gems to be gathered. Most are sold off to Anvil or the Blue Sun Corps, although they have been known to fashion some gorgeous jewelry from some of the more precious metals they mind.

Occasionally little patches of water and vegetation come up, but they appear so rarely that it seems impossible that any life would manage to survive, and yet people can always surprise you with their ability to keep going in the face of all obstacles, especially when that obstacle is a lack of funds to get off world.

[planet]Athens[/planet]
Capital: Lacedaemon
Moons: Ahnooie, Argabuthon, Ormuzd, Whitefall
Cortex:Should have just named the place the windy planet, it certainly has enough of it. And mood swings like no other! You've never seen weather change it's mind so quickly and completely as it does on Athens. Despite this, certain crops do well here given the right attention and some luck with the weather. Athens was one of the only rim worlds to support unification, and what did it get for it's trouble? Mostly blown to bits, with it's cities now resting in heaps, unlivable and still dead to this day.

[blockquote][planet]Ahnooie[/planet]
Capital: Hampline
Cortex: The first moon of Athens, known for it's long and irregular nights due to the strange eclipse patterns of the planets and moons around it. Howler's hours of light and dark are almost entirely unpredictable without an astronomy chart present.

[planet]Argabuthon[/planet]
Capital: Prak
Cortex: A planet known for it's factories and cities, and often considered "technologically advanced", at least in terms of border worlds. Wouldn't be so bad to be known like this, only Argabuthon has developed a more prominent reputation for it's justice system, which is harsh and swift, often involving being thrown into solitary confinement in a local mental facility for even the smallest misdeed.

[planet]Ormuzd[/planet]
Capital: Sopono
Cortex: There isn't anything exactly ugly about Ormuzd, but chances are you won't be visiting it any time soon. See, the atmosphere came charged and ready after terraforming, and you never quite know what that's going to breed. In this case, a particularly bad virus seems to thrive there, and though the planet was never officially quarantined by the alliance, you don't get many ships eager to land their and risk catching the Angra Virius, or A.V. Symptoms may include itching, sweating, lack of appetite, dehydration, hair lose, and eventually progress towards hallucinations and insanity.

[planet]Whitefall[/planet]
Capital: Southton
Cortex: Just a good old copy of the old, old west. That's Whitefall alright, a place a man has to work hard to make his living - on a farm, ranch, or in one of the little towns that dots the prairies. The law of the gun (and a hard old woman named Patience) is pretty much the only one left in such a place, but the folks at Whitefall generally are pretty good at sticking together. Don't take much to outsiders, though. Got no need for them unless they have something worth taking.[/blockquote]

[planet]Boros[/planet]
Capital: Ester
Moons: Ares, Turrent's Moon
Cortex: A mostly decent planet, that can be said of it. The sort of place you can find a job at almost anything. The country side has plenty of farms and ranches, small towns just like you'll find all over the border worlds. The cities, though not as large as the industrialized Beaumonde, have a few factories and the likes and just large enough that those driven insane by the slowness of the country can settle in. They make a good living off of scrap metal, too, with the alliance selling or simply throwing away anything that doesn't come up to scratch. Of course, some of the geniuses down in Boros can do wonders with a little metal, no matter how lousy the alliance judged it to be.

[planet]Rea[/planet]
Capital: Keshkin
Cortex: Each terraformed world has its own particular quirks, due to the original geochemistry of the rock. Leeched from the soil and bedrock of Rea was an unforeseen and as of yet unclassified mineral ore, harmless for the most part but toxic in strong concentrations. The terraforming event forced a large quantity of this buried ore into the water supply, unnoticed at first due to it's negligible concentrations.. but, like other heavy metal poisonings, concentrations of the toxin built up in individuals over time and began effecting the townfolk that have been consistently ingesting it. 'Mira's Sorrow' was born, an illness that predominantly afflicts the brain, an 'occular congestion' that causes a degenerative blindness (as well as other mental ailments).[/blockquote]

[planet]Ezra[/planet]
Capital: Camelot
Moon: Herschel
Cortex: I'm going to assume you're a bit of an idiot, so I'm going to give you this advice very slowly. Don't. Go. There. whatever it is you think is waiting for you on Ezra, it ain't worth it. Everyone knows this moon was taken over by Niska years back and since then... Well, it's worse than it had been before and if you knew how it was before... Crime abounds at this place, and a crime with a sick, twisted since of morals. Those poor souls still stuck on planet, most of them are too scared to even find away off. So why go and put yourself where no one wants to be?

[blockquote][planet]Herschel[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---[/blockquote]

[planet]Ithica[/planet]
Capital: Ioan
Cortex: Ithica and her sister planet/moon Priam are actually pretty decent places, at least compared to most of the Georgia system. At least Ithica has some beautiful oceans, a rarity when compared to neighboring Ezra. unfortunately, she also has rain nearly year round, drowning out almost any attempts at growing crops, and for some reason fish never took to her the way they have other water based worlds, and so she does not even get that advantage. Still, when the sun comes out and the clouds pull back, she is a sight to see.

[planet]Kerry[/planet]
Capital: Sakamoto
Cortex: When a solider needs a break, he gets himself to a saloon or even a small casino on Kerry, it's just a well known fact. Kerry isn't big enough to garner much in the way of attention outside of the Boros system, but with-in it, she's made quite a name for herself. Though not entirely a good one. Even with the fed influence, the law of the gun seems to hold strong in Kerry, with the townships much preferring to rule over themselves. It's caused quite a few fights with the local feds, though that hardly stops soldiers from coming back on their next leave.

[planet]Newhope[/planet]
Capital: Clayborn
Moons: Godforsaken, Splendor, The Commons
Cortex: One of the border worlds that manages to do okay for itself. Of course, a lot of that comes from their desire to keep out everyone who might mess it up. They've got a nice little planet, and they don't like when strangers land on it and try and take what God has given them. Anyone looking to set down in Newhope best have gone through the proper channels, or they're going to discover that this place isn't as friendly as it looks.

[blockquote][dead]Godforsaken[/dead]
Cortex: Unterraformed/Uninhabitable.

[planet]Splendor[/planet]
Capital: ---
Cortex: ---

[planet]The Commons[/planet]
Capital: None
Cortex: Another small farming community planet, The Commons consist of little groups and villages separated by miles and miles of open planes. She's a good planet to get your family to if you have no where else to turn, but not much interest to traders and the likes. She's grow things, but it's too hard in most places to bother with industrialized farming, so not even the alliance is that interested in her. There are no real cities on The Commons, just loosely connected communities spread out over the world.[/blockquote]

[planet]Priam[/planet]
Capital: Salgo
Cortex: Sister planet to Ithica, Priam has all the rain and non of the beauty. Her landscape is mostly mud and rock falling apart under the constant harsh winds and storms. Very few people venture out here, and those that do are usually trying to make some sort of escape. After all, no one really even wants to look for you on Priam.

[planet]Regina[/planet]
Capital: Jacaba
Moons: Alexandria
Cortex: Mining and Military, that's all you're like to find on Regina. The whole moon is all but owned by the Corone Mining Consortium although a few independent mining companies are struggling to keep up their own. Hard with the price of medicine what it is now a days, and you'll need that medicine. Can't have workers with Bowden's, you won't get any work down. What part of the planet isn't being emptied out is used for military training and a base by the alliance. The Corone Mining Consortium figures it's nice to have them about, helps keep fearful people in their place even if those newly trained soldiers hardly do a damn thing.

[blockquote][planet]Alexandria[/planet]
Capital: Socrates
Cortex: There is this rumor going about that everyone on the border is an uneducated fool. Now, it may be true that over all the border isn't as highly educated as those in the core, but it isn't true for every world. Alexandria is actually known for having one of the finest schools, and by far the finest on the border. It's also home of the only library made up of an Earth-That-Was privately owned book collection in the 'verse, which has attracted it plenty of attention, and not just from scholars.
[/blockquote]

Murphey

[planet]Aphrodite[/planet]
Capital: Masan
Moons: Anton, Hill, Sturges, Thornley
Cortex: Before the war, Aphrodite really hadn't been such a bad place. Kind of a smaller Shadow, that's what plenty of folks said about her. Only during the bombing of Shadow, when people were fleeing for their lives, it turned out that Aphrodite was just too small. The over population strained her already fragile economy and it just crashed. She got too full of people for her own good, broken down cities spread most all over here, and she hasn't recovered, like her mother planet only instead of ghost living on her, she's got real and breathing people waiting for a miracle.

[blockquote]Anton[/title][/size]
Capital: Callipsa
Cortex: Most planets look as much like Earth-That-Was as they could manage. Anton does not. Although the name might bring to mind long planes of green, green grass, the truth is that something about Anton has always been alien. The ground there is mostly made of a hard, white stone and sand that gives the entire world a strange look, even from up in space. It has made it popular with mining production, but it means that most vegetation just hasn't taken up root there.

[planet]Hera[/planet]
Capital: Coplene
Moons: Bullet, Eris
Cortex: Hera is near the perfect place to own some land, put together a farm. Many a corporation have gone and done just that, in fact, making Hera the breadbasket of the core and most border worlds. Midway between the core and border shipping lanes, you can see why the battle of Serenity was so important. Course no amount of importance can bring back all the lives lost on this place, the grave yard sweeping for miles and miles - most tomb stones still blank with no way to identify the soldiers after what this battle did to them.

Xuan Wu

[planet]Aberdeen[/planet]
Capital: New Oxford
Cortex: Aberdeen is, for some reason or another, a good place for animals or all kinds it seems. They do pretty well for themselves trading furs and lumber to the other worlds. May not be as fancy as the core, but they sure supply it with a lot, and they keep themselves mostly comfortable off what they make.

[planet]Angel[/planet]
Capital: Bata
Moon: Zephyr
Cortex: Angel's got wings, that's what they use to say. Well, not exactly wings, but from space she's got a nice white glow about her, the kind that really makes you take notice. Down on the ground, she's just like any other planet. Maybe the sand is a little whiter than most, the light a bit more scorching, but that ain't much. Settled mainly by a Spanish speaking population, Angel is one of the few planets where English and Chinese - while spoken - are not necessarily the first language of the population.

[blockquote][planet]Zephyr[/planet]
Capital: Weston
Cortex: A windy world, for sure, but not unlivable. Sure, it takes a little strength to get by, but settlers manage, and at least it‘s close enough to the core to earn some protection from the local alliance cruise ships without being so close that they‘re entirely restricted.[/blockquote]

[planet]Beaumonde[/planet]
Capital: New Dunsmuir
Moon: Haster
Cortex: New Dunsmuir is a place of stunning beauty, right on the edge of the ocean it is the perfect place to get away. And considering the rest of Beaumonde lives under a black colored haze of factory pollution, there is plenty those poor, rich factory owners need to get away from. At least a man can make a decent living at Beaumonde, plenty of places to look for work that's for sure. And, honestly, once you get around the haze it's not too bad. It has a fine night life, and the cities are full of things to keep factory workers and others visiting the planet entertained, even if their lungs may pay for it later.

[blockquote][planet]Haster[/planet]
Capital: Moss
Cortex: Haster is a strange mix of busy, under developed cities and small little villages scattered around the world. Mostly flat and with long summers and a few rainy seasons to break it up, crops are hard to grow and so most of Angel's villagers stick with small crops and large animal herds. The cities are known for their clothing factories, exporting large amounts of fabrics to nearby worlds, and even a few shops to the core.[/blockquote]
[planet]
Constance[/planet]
Capital: Trinity
Moons: Barrowclaugh, Disraeli
Cortex: There are lots of 'no's on Constance. No alcohol, no drugs, no gambling or anything like that. No sin, that's what their politicians say it means (although it certainly hasn't kept crimes from being committed, just like any other rim world). If you can get past the lack of any real life, I guess the place could be worse. They have towns with running water, enough to keep themselves fed, all the things you technically need to keep alive. But is that living?

[blockquote][planet]Barrowclaugh[/planet]
Capital: New Mumbai
Cortex: There was a time when Delphi was known for it's beautiful fashions. It produced some of the finest clothing in the 'verse. They still have a proficiency at it, but with some of the nearby worlds, it's no surprise the planet seem to fall to criminals and the likes pretty quickly. A deep red planet like Sihnon, when still new it was settled by people who wanted to be close to home while still having a second chance at life on this new world. They had certainly never wanted their planet to fall into the slump the way it has now. Delphi is struggling to keep itself from falling completely the way that Ezra did before it.

[blockquote]Hilal[/title][/size]
Capital: Hawthorne
Cortex: Ghost towns before they even had a time to collect ghosts. With the wind keeping this planet all but inhabitable, there isn't much in the way of civilization on Hilal. The tried to build settlements, but eventually the high winds and blowing white dust (the same that give planet it's strange, ethereal look from the air) can eventually wear down even the most determined. There are a few villages and settlements, mostly built under ground to help reduce the effects of the wind.

[planet]Wabb[/planet]
Capital: Yukonna
Cortex: If you land on Wabb you have to land on Yukonna. It's the only large city like structure on an planet of ice, so it should be rather noticeable. It's also the only city with a ship hanger, for keeping any ships that may set down. Which is useful, since when night comes (and night comes for days on Wabb, while days barely last hours some times of the year) the temperature drops so low that the gears of a ship can freeze and snap. So you have to land in Yukonna, and anywhere else you want to get, you take train. It could be hours, days to the next settlement, but the trains on Wabb are specially made to keep running even on the coldest night. So if it's so damn cold, why bother coming down on such a planet? Wabb's temperature makes it the most stable place to produce fuel cells, for one. It also exports tons of fresh water, which they're never short of. So despite the cold, Wabb remains populated.[/blockquote]

Cortex: If Bellerophon where just a little poorer, what you would have is basically Salisbury. The men there, you don't want to know how they got their money, and they're all to happy to not say a damn word and spend the rest of their lives playing king on this little moon. Now if you're one of the wealthy, Salisbury ain't so bad. It's no Bellerophon with floating mansions and the likes - no - but there is still plenty flaunting of money. If you happen to be one of the indentured servants though, well, whoever you pray to at night, sure hope they're listening.

[planet]Sho-Je Downs[/planet]
Capital: Washi
Moons: Kuan La, Miyazaki
Cortex: There are a lot of things you don't even think about, little electronic devices that people use without even thinking. Things that can hardly even be called 'technology' they're so basic. Well, these sorts of useless parts are all made on Sho-Je Downs. filled with factories and small towns of their workers, Sho-Je Downs makes things that bigger companies need to make their own products. Since these little pieces of junk almost seem otherwise useless, a good mechanic who knows what to look for can pull a Mcguyver after a visit to Sho-Je Downs.

Cortex: Most business on Beylix is done in trash. It doesn't sound so pleasant, but you would be amazed what some of these people could do given a few broken down parts. Back just after the war, the alliance started using Beylix as something of a garbage dump for all the parts and things other planets had no use for. Only it turns out that on Beylix, they could find more than enough use for them given the chance, often digging through the heaps to find things worth fixing up and trading back off again. Since even the alliance couldn't see much harm in this, they just pretend not to see the whole thing. Makes Beylix a good place to get a cheap used ship if you need, and a fine place to pull some smuggling in that same ship.

Cortex: A newly transformed planet, Newhall is doing just fine for itself. Probably all that water they have laying about. There is always a need for water and, well, Newhall has plenty. The only land that's livable is a couple of chain islands, leading to most water factories just being built on or over the ocean itself. The islands themselves are mostly home to tourist centers, with plenty coming from the core and border worlds to enjoy the vast openness of Newhall's ocean and tropical climate. Always in need of workers, the alliance offers plenty of help for those willing to settle on the planet and work in the water factories or fishing and, well, if you have to work in a factory at least the scenery here is lovely if not a bit monotone.

[planet]Deadwood[/planet]
Capital: Hamlet
Moons: Haven, New Omaha
Cortex: The problem with Deadwood is really that there is too much life about. The whole thing seems to be a giant march - just enough land that it ain't about to become a water staple like Newhall but enough water to keep the whole place damp. Makes certain things easy to grow, and certain wild animals a lot more common than they might be elsewhere. It ain't the kind of place folks are likely to just move into, even the ones who live here now don't seem overly fond of it but most of them are at least able to keep up a living.

[blockquote][planet]Haven[/planet]
Capital: God's Footstep
Cortex: Haven is yet another mining settlement, although not half as successful as Regina or even St. Albans. Still, even when barely making it the miners there refuse to give up, and at least they ain't owned by a company the way the people over on Regina are. No, they're their own men, even if rather poor men, and their determined in a way you just don't see on the core. Determined in a way you have to be unless you want to starve or get yourself attacked by reavers. It doesn't leave much to be, other than determined, really. There are more than a few religious settlements over on Haven as well, little towns that try and make do on their own and keep to themselves. Not too difficult sitting way out on the far end of the black.

[planet]New Omaha[/planet]
Capital: Juyi
Cortex: Such a small, unimportant place it can barely be called even a moon. It's not just the alliance ignoring this world, it seems to be everyone. There's nothing about it that calls attention, just a small little pile of dust in the middle of nowhere. Really, Omaha was bad enough. [planet]Highgate[/planet]
Capital: Lennon
Moon: Perth
Cortex: It's never a good sign when a planet is named after the walls that use to stand as a prison settlement. At it's founding, Highgate was originally set aside as a giant, planet sized jail cell for all those other planets were not willing to keep. Over time it developed into a world all it's own, and while the prison still stands, now a days there is just as much crime going on outside the walls than in them.

[planet]Meridian[/planet]
Capital: Greenline
Moon: Burnet
Cortex: The largest of the worlds in the blue sun system, Meridian doesn't suffer quite as much as some of the others. The factories covering her surfaces lend a touch of livability to the desert planet, or so they say. Truth is, if Meridian were just a desert, at least the people working there wouldn't be caught in a nearly slave like contract to work in her factories where they're not even sure what it is their producing. Most of the planet is filled with worker slums, but now and then you'll see the far nicer estates of the higher ups.

[planet]New Cannan[/planet]
Capital: New Cannan
Moons: Lilac, Ugarit
Cortex: Settled originally as a haven for religious settlers, some consider it a bit of a miraculous when it was found out how good the brandy produced at New Canaan could taste. At first there was a quiet struggle to make it a dry moon, but any attempt at such hearsay was quickly stomped out. New Canaan today is, in many ways, a reflection of the old Canaan on Earth-That-Was. A bit of a desert, yes, but alive with the bustle of business (mostly questionable) and scattered cities. It‘s by far the most populated planet in the blue sun system.

[blockquote][planet]Lilac[/planet]
Capital: Frankton
Cortex: It's one of those trick things, you see. Might sound like a pretty name but, might sound a bit ugly but this is what it comes down to, it ain't such a pretty planet. Harsh weather and sunlight don't make farming much fun unless you're one of the lucky folks to own the small bits of land up north that can be used to grow decent crops. Otherwise, you have to find another way to barely get by.
