Remus searched down the corridor of the train to find an empty carriage, aware that if he let James or Sirius search they would end up intimidating some of the younger years out of theirs, therefore causing him moral dilemmas due to the Prefect status. Eventually he found one empty and called to the others, "Over here!" before going into the carriage himself and holding the door open for the others.

"Hi, Professor," Sirius said with a grin, offering Sinistra a nod. She was a cool professor, young and interesting, and her classes were held at the top of the tallest tower. Admittedly, Sirius spent a lot of his time in her class hanging over the edge and throwing things off or Summoning things to him or wondering if he could jump and cast a Cushioning Charm before he splatted, but still, he thought she was a fun teacher. "Don't worry. We never plan too much mayhem." He winked at the older woman, dragging his trunk onto the train and reaching down to help Pete get his up. "See you in class, then?" he asked, when Remus called out about the empty compartment he had found.

"Mayhem? Us?" James added, fluttering his eyelashes innocently at Professor Sinestra. "How could you think such a thing, Professor? How could you?"

Grinning broadly, he turned and bounded off towards Remus' shout, flicking the professor a quick salute as he did so.

Aurora smirked, chuckling lightly as she watched James and Sirius run off. She then followed them, as she really didn't want to find a compartment alone. The reason for this was that, when she was alone, the astronomy professor's thoughts drifted to her, and Aurora really didn't need that kind of torment right now.

"Might I share the compartment with you, boys? And don't worry, until we get to Hogwarts, I have no authority over you lot, so go on with your prank planning or whatever you four come-up with," she said, posing her requester before stating something that would, hopefully, gain her entrance. "I could even give you a hand, if you wanted," she offered, though some part of Aurora told her that she would regret this later.

Dragging her things behind her Mary didn't look too pleased. Carriage after carriage were looking like they were ready to overflow with students, up to six or more piled in.

To her dismay that also meant Amy's car, six Ravenclaws all crammed into one.

"Sorry Mare!"

"Sure Aim, love ya too!" Sarcasm was a very common thing between the pair. It was hard for some to understand how those two were so close yet argued all the time.

Looking back and forth she finally found one that wasn't full. And since it was lacking Slytherins by the looks of it it was good enough for her.

"Hello guys, mind if I join you? No? Good." And without a second for anyone to respond her bag was thrown onto the overhead shelf and she took a seat by the window. She was at bit of a loss for words though when she realized who it was she barged into. The Marauders. The famous four that ruled Hogwarts. Yep, only a tad embarrassing.

Peter had already put Specs down on the seat next to him, but he picked the cage up and budged along automatically when Mary flung herself down beside him. He glanced at James as if his friend could make the situation magically better, empty out the compartment and leave the Marauders to their normal routine. And he wasn't going to be the first to start a conversation, either. So he pulled a lollipop from his pocket and began to crunch away, shoved into the corner, Specs on his lap.

At that point, the door slid open and a dark-skinned, handsome face poked through, followed by the rest of Kingsley. At the sight of the Marauders, he positively beamed. "Remus Lupin! Just the man I was looking for!"

Needless to say, Remus was a little overwhelmed by the sudden number of people in or around their carriage. Was the train really getting that full? Nevertheless, Remus tried to respond to each person in turn, somewhat thrown off.

"Good morning Professor!" he greeted Aurora. "And of course you can join us... if there's enough space..."

He looked to the girl who had just barged in, and he was at a loss for words. "Erm... hi... Mary, is it? We don't seem to have much choice, so I may as well say feel free to join us..." Remus glanced over to Peter besides her who looked a little uncomfortable, but didn't have time to say anything before the door opened again.

Thankfully this time it was a more familiar face: Kingsley Shacklebolt. Remus grinned back at him. "Hello, Your Majesty! You can take a seat... if you can find any space in here..."

For one flickering moment, the look on Sirius' face was murderous, quite similar to the look his was sporting when his father was holding his arm. This was supposed to be time for the Marauders to plan their secret pranks... and discuss secret, illegal transformations since Moony was going to be occupied by a prefect meeting!

Oh well. They could get around that. But first. "Rules are simple," he said. "Marauders were here first, ergo we get the window seats. Budge your butt, Mary. Prefects, sorry Moony, but you need to clear out to give us some breathing room right now. Go to your spiffy meeting or something, kay? Jamie, I need a pair of slacks and a muggle pen, stat!" Sirius reached for his trunk, pulling out his Hogwarts uniform robes and some special Marauder parchment.

This parchment was a work of pure genius, if he did say so himself. The four of them had cast a spell at the same time, enabling them to be the only ones capable of reading what was written on it. Anyone else who even looked over their shoulder would only see insults. Any forced revealling of the contents would make the parchment get personal. It made note-passing a piece of cake in class. Now, it would enable the Marauders to discuss their animagus summer success (or failure) in the company of too many non-Marauders. They just had to make sure Moony, who didn't know about this secret task they had given themselves, didn't find out. They wanted to surprise him when the transformation worked (or not disappoint him if it didn't).

Flopping back into his seat, Sirius took the slacks from James and began to pull them on under his robes. He managed to not flash anyone in the compartment in the process, but he didn't have the same reservations when it came to undoing the top of his ugly purple robes. "It's naked time!"

Catching on quickly, James nodded and reached for what he affectionately referred to as his 'big bag of fun' - a large carpet bag bulging with pranking necessities, from Dungbombs to superglue. For a moment he rooted through it, holding out a pair of trousers with his free hand, until he came up with a fat pencil case.

"Permanent marker, biro, or ink pen?" he asked, grinning and tossing the pencil case at Sirius' head. "Your pick. Mind out, there's some stuff in there that might blow up in your face. Now shift over," he added to Mary. "Bit further. That's my spot there." Tossing the bag back into the luggage rack, he picked up Dorian's cage and waved it impatiently at her.

When she noted what Sirius was doing, Aurora averted her gaze, and occupied herself with claiming a seat by the door to the compartment. Seeing a student of hers changing into their school robes was the last thing she needed right now--especially if it was a male student. Now, that one female Ravenclaw seventh year, on the other hand...

As soon as she realized the direction her thoughts had gone to, Aurora blushed such a deep shade of red, one might have mistaken her for a brunette Weasley. 'Okay... note to self: try to keep from thinking about cute female seventh years,' she mentally chastised herself, hoping--no, praying--that no-one had seen the blush, which had just receded.

(ooc: And to clear up any misunderstandings: said female Ravenclaw seventh year is NOT the person who haunts Aurora. That woman shall remain nameless until or if someone joins as her. (*cough*It's possibly Ms. Septima Vector*cough*)
