There is a new interview with Matthew at http://meinmyplace.com/.

There are some photos he provided of himself in his home. Some are of him shaving in the bathtub (and I recognize the bathtub from the real estate photos).

It's pretty funny. Some may note that he said he promised to do a nude scene in a friend's movie and basically said he's hung like a mouse.

In the comments, someone called Bubba said that Matthew was one of the nicest people he/she ever spoke with in his/her life.
A few pictures:

Would anyone be offended if I posted the real estate pictures of the rooms shown in these pictures? I have the names changed to not reveal the address. I see he stained the stairs darker but the bathroom tile is still the same. I think he also may have added some wood to the rises on the steps to close them off so they weren't just open anymore-- but I can't tell for sure.

That was a great interview. He said that he doesn't have any pets other than 2 family dogs and wildlife in his backyard. I wonder about Mallory, is she now in Vegas with his family? I hope nothing happened to her! bitenails
I would love to see the pics. I love those real estate shows like House Hunter where they show the before and after pics.

I love before and after shots, and as long as you can't use the pics to stalk him, I think It's be OK :)

Mirri, I love watching those shows too! I really love Holmes on Homes and Holmes Inspection where they go in and fix things.
I'm going to make an html file with the pictures at some point. I need to get them uploaded. The house itself is really cool looking.
For now, I have the bathroom and stairs pictures (keep in mind that the stairs in the picture Matthew submitted was taken from a mirror so the direction of the stairs won't match).
Bathroom (I really hope he got rid of that curtain):

The stairs: Note the open spaces between the rises. Also note that the wall around the stairs is curved so the framing for the windows had to be curved as well-- but the glass was straight I think).

I'm not sure if the pictures of him on the phone were taken in the living room or dining room because both of the rooms had the same sort of paneling below the chair rail level. I think in his photos the wall looks like a pale blue but all of the rooms in the real estate photos were pale yellow. (I don't have those pictures uploaded yet).

Did anyone else notice that he was using the "badger brush" that he mentioned in the behind-the-scenes footage on the DVDs for season 1?

about the stairs i thin from the living room vestibule, it's the stair from the front vestibule, cause his shoes are in the vestibule, it's "rez de chaussée" to living room (cause no windows along stairs)
yeah the bathtub is "the bathtub" even he his too taller to get a shower ROTFL and he has a DUCK!!!! ROTFL
about the shave supplies it's the same in the footage of MGG in the DVD season 1!

Thanks for the pics suceress. I like both dark wood and light wood but I'm glad he closed up the rises as for some reason open rises make me feel nauseous. I absolutely love that vanity and mirror. I wonder if he changed them. I'm thinking that he didn't 'cause he seems to love more of a Victorian look.

Chantou, I would agree on the stairs except there is only one part of the house with the rounded turret like that. If you look you can see that there are windows in the one Matthew posted but he covered them with dark curtains.

I notice that he painted the part below the chair rail in some of the rooms. I think the dining room he painted a dark red and in the living room it seems he did some green.

I do think you are right that it is located near the front somewhere though.

Here is a version of the picture Matthew took flipped so the stairs match up better.

Mirri, I agree that Matthew seems to go for the Victorian look. I noticed that in various pictures of him in his apartment and such that he has a lot of stuff with curves. I found a picture somewhere of a couch with the same shape and carving as Matthew's but the upholstery was different.

I actually have more pictures of the house saved to my computer because I thought it was really cool looking and I was thinking of seeing if it would be possible to make it in Sims 3-- unfortunately curved walls are not possible in that game. Maybe Sims 4 will have it though.

So if anyone wants to see more pictures, PM me. None of the pictures will contain anything that will give away the address though.

Su, i compared MGG's pic with the sellers site pic  : the clear stairs are on the left of the door (this one beside the turret)
on the MGG's pic there is no door beside the stairs!

at least it's the same house! and i like it so much! even "french normandy style" is for me the frenchie and the girl from Normandie "english cottage style"

about the SIM 3 it's true, no spiral staircase! :poo:

in french : spiral staircase is : "escalier en colimaçon" comimaçon is an other name for snail!

I wonder if he put up a wall that wasn't there before to separate or he moved a wall? He said he renovated the house.

Or maybe there are two sets of spiral stairs-- one going from the bottom floor to the main floor and then one up to the attic (which is where the master bedroom is). It looks like a huge master bedroom from the pictures.
I really like the kitchen pictures. I wish the real estate site had more pictures of the kitchen to get a better sense of the size.

I noticed in one of the pictures that Matthew posted that there was damage to the wall behind him.

Sims 3 has spiral stairs now. I think they were added with either Generations expansion or Pets expansion. I will have to open my game to look.

I use a lot of custom content from Modthesims.info. I used to make custom content for Sims 2 but I can't get some of my programs to install on Windows 7 and my desktop still isn't working.

On a side note, I know it is selfish of me but I wish Matthew would post pictures of the changes he has made to the interior of his home. I would love to see what he did with the fireplace.

Did you see he tweeted pictures of a bird's next in his back yard? First with eggs and later with baby birds.
