I think this one was actually filmed after the following episode "Foundation". I don't have a synopsis for foundation yet. Anna Fleiner mentioned something about switching some episodes around.

Wow.. Apparently the Criminal Minds show I once loved is gone and was replaced by some wretched Lifetime channel worthy drama fest. ugh.. This episode was so bleh I almost turned it off as soon as the narration started.

Ugh, it's the unsub show again where it's all about the unsub from the very beginning. This is getting tooo repetitive!
Unfortunately it is all too common for teachers to get predatory on their charges but this teacher was tooo wacky to make sense. She had to be really nuts to be killing all those people and still think she can have a normal, happy life afterwards by bringing the police down on her. Notthisagain
I had to groan when they go to her home with sirens blaring after they had profiled that she will be suicide by cop. Notthisagain That made them looks so stupid!!!
Not a good one and the wacky mother replacing her lost child has been done before and better in Instincts.

Yeah. I really don't like seeing the unsub already in the beginning. This one had no suspense at all. :(
Reid sounded like he had a flu in he beginning.
All the Garcia/Morgan/Kevin drama was just blah. Notthisagain

Matthew did sound sick on the plane.

Garcia calling Morgan about 67 times about a personal matter during a case.. Ugh.. Why didn't Morgan just tell her to cut it out and let him work and that they could talk AFTER?

This is at least the second time this writer has had the team dragging personal crap in during a case and behaving unprofessionally.

Add to that, the writer was extremely rude to a fan at the chat this morning. I know that the fan's question might be considered somewhat rude but 1) The fan was right, 2) The fan probably didn't expect the question to be asked and 3) her response was just immature.

This was the exchange I found immature:

cm: CM's episodes this season are not good and the ratings and viewers sink a little deeper at each passing week. How did you guys got renewed?

JSB: Okay, we are doing amazing in the ratings. We are one of the best shows in the WORLD!! CBS loves us. The fans still love us. The show this year has been amazing. We got an early pick up. Shut the front door. WE ARE GOING TO BE HERE forever!!

Now "shut the front door" is another euphemism for "shut the f___ up" (STFU for short). Then she had allcaps as if yelling. That is just beyond childish. I know she was probably bothered by it, but that was not an appropriate response.

She is still in denial about the show declining and she had several bs answers. They claim to be doing quality work, but their quality is ugh...

It makes me angry when the writers are rude to people like that. People give examples about exactly what is wrong and she (and other writers) respond with: Posted Image
And then Posted Image

I know I'm Posted Image but I really want to take that writer out and Posted Image

It's not like we're asking the writers to make a dinosaur do a hand stand or make pigs fly. Posted ImagePosted Image

That's my Posted Image so now I'll Posted ImagePosted Image

ok, I just wanted an excuse to use some of the emoticons I dug up and used on my forum

I read the whole transcript to get the gist of what she was trying to convey to the fans. I didn't think she was trying to be rude to that one fan. She just seems passionate about her show and maybe that might color her perception of how well it's doing. She's pretty funny esp. kinda wacky with that comment about killing people and making pizza from their skin. Now I'm turned off pizzas for life!!! :gah:
The writers seem to use high ratings as an excuse to say the writing is solid. People might still be tuning in but it seems like the hard-core, long time fans see a difference in the quality of season 1-4 compared to now. Granted it is harder and harder to keep coming up with more original unsubs but that's what the studio is paying the writers the "big bucks" for.
BTW, CM seems like as show that is high in ratings yet a lot of people don't know about. CM was a question on Jeopardy, a quiz show, and the 3 contestants had totally blank looks on their faces when they were asked what FBI show had Joe Mantagna replace Mandy. ROTFL Reid would have said, "What kind of geniuses are you!!!"

I didn't think the writer was rude either. I've noticed Garcia has been saying "shut the front door" a few times in more recent episodes and I took it to mean she was saying the case is closed, she found the unsub (at least that's how I took it when she said it in "True Genius"). So I thought the writer meant the case is closed, the ratings are great.
I don't think this episode was a bad episode, just a dull episode. I liked the actress who played the teacher and the guy who played Tommy. I liked when Hotch asked if there were any questions after delivering the profile a whole bunch of hands went up. I don't remember ever seeing that before. Loved Reid at the end when talking about the duration of sentences for pretty criminals. As always did not like seeing the unsub right away. Garcia was more annoying and more unprofessional than usual. Despite the writer's explanation I still think Morgan was rude to Kevin. Julie's not too bright calling the cops in front of someone with a gun. The big WTF moment was when they went to Maggie's house with siren's blaring. I wonder if the amount they can spend on cars per episode changes. Some episodes there is only the team arriving to save the day but others there are a dozen cars showing up.
